("equivalency") COPY of data in spreadsheet to new sheet?

i am having a bit of an issue figuring out how to finalize a spreadsheet. i have a spreadsheet that is about 20 Columns wide and 800 or so Rows long. The Rows are divided up into 18 or so SECTIONS.
i also have a set of TOTALS that summarize the various sections at the BOTTOM so this area is about the size of an 8 x 11 inch sheet and represents what i will be sending out. however, i also have a set of totals on the RIGHT that itemize everything horizontally.
everything obviously is tied into everything else on this sheet and i would not like to COPY the results of the 8 x 11 inch sheet area at the bottom to another /sheet/ so that i can reformat this slightly but also so i can add some "percentage completion" calculations. i would also like to COPY the results on the RIGHT to another sheet so that i can DELETE some of the rows that do not have information in them for this particular project but in a way that will retain the original data. basically this is a template and i want to retain the template but i still have to condense everything down so that it will fit on a page.
for some reason i am not having a very easy time figuring out how to do this.
is there a way to do some kind of "equivalency copy" so that i tell number to copy exactly what i have to another sheet - so that it will update when the original sheet is changed and so that i can edit the "equivalent copy"?
i cannot imagine doing this cell by cell by cell and the spreadsheet is so large at this point i am not sure how keeping it all on the same sheet is going to be manageable.

I need to paste values only, not values and formulas, to a new sheet. This is like paste-special in Excel. I have not found a way to do this in Numbers. Neooffice and openoffice can do this on apple computers.

Copying directory data from one server to another

Hi friends,
I maintain two directory server (ver. 5.2) with same domain (xxx.com) and i have to copy the entire data from one server.
I tried to export from a one server and import it on another server, but it didn't get copied and it is getting object class violation error,
Please give me some tips to copy the entire data along with password encryption, so the users should be able to login to the new server.

Before you copy the data, make sure the new server has all user-defned schema (objectclass, attribute) which reside on the first server. What you can do is to copy the schema over first. Then you can copy the data over.

Copy the content of a sheet in excel and paste it in a new sheet.

How can I copy the content of the first sheet in excel and paste it in a newly created sheet. Both sheets have specific names (not sheet1 and sheet2).

To copy the entire contents to the new sheet:
Select the Target sheet by name using property Sheets->Item("Target")
Convert target to WorkSheet
Wire target's WorkSheet->Range("A1") to specify destination
Use Sheets->Item("Source") to select the source sheet
Convert source to WorkSheet
Wire source to property WorkSheet->UsedRange
Wire to method Range->Copy, wire target range to Desination input
Note that no Paste function is required.

Excel Spreadsheet as Data Source & Copying that Data to an Existing SharePoint List

Hello,
I have an Excel spreadsheet that I get daily and cut and paste into an existing SharePoint list. Is there a way to make that Excel spreadsheet a data source and copy the data to an existing SharePoint list with less manual involvement?
Tools at my disposal include: SharePoint 2010 Designer, InfoPath, and Access.
I thought there might be a REST method I could use via InfoPath but I'm not aware of any offhand.
Goal is to have a method to upload/overwrite an Excel file (stored in a SharePoint library), every day, and then automate the process of copy it to a SharePoint list (actually overwriting the old data in the SharePoint list).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We can create a console application and use C# code to read the data from the Excel file and using SharePoint .Net Client Object Model to add the data into a SharePoint list, then create a windows job to execute the console application.

Copy the data from first line while dynamically adding a new line in table

Hi,
1. There is a table
2. An add button adds a new line to the table using 'AddInstance'
3. A record is entered in the first line
4. When the add button is clicked it adds a new line and along with it copies the data entered in the first line
My question is how to copy the data from the first line and show it in the new line added. This is required so that user can use most of the common values in the first line.

The Touch Copy third party software for PC's is the way to go it seems and although the demo is free, if you have over 100 songs then it costs £15 to buy the software which seems not a lot to pay for peace of mind. and restoring your iTunes library back to how it was.

Copy financial data and documents into a new version

Hello,
Does anybody know whether is possible to copy from one version into a new one all financial data
(including all posting levels) as well as all documents (including all posting levels).
There is a copy task where it is possible to copy financial data and documents, but the system only takes into consideration indivual values, not consolidated values.

SFC label not readable how to copy the data to new SFC in panel product

We have one SFC label that is not readable. We know the serial number but how to re-label the product with new SFC and copy the data from the previous one?
Problem is that the SFC is for panel product with three locations and all locations have assembly and NC data.
Any ideas?

I would suggest to test using the SFC Reassignment activity or Re-label activities.

How do I use old data files with a new installation in Oracle 9i

I am in an unenviable position, with an unsupported database.
We are running Oracle 9i on Windows XP. We are upgrading soon to Oracle 11g on a newer platform, but need to get our development environment working first.
We lost a system that was running our development database without having a database export. The C drive was placed into a new system as the D drive.
I have loaded Oracle 9i on the C drive, but I have been unable to determine how to point it to the existing data files on the D drive. My search skills may be the limiting factor here...
We cannot simply load the drive as C, since the hardware is different.
What are the steps to point the new database software at the data files on the D drive? Or, how do I copy the old data files into the new Oracle Home and have them recognized properly?

Are you stating that you don't know how to use COPY command?
Can you recreate same directory structure on new C drive as exist on old C drive?
Can you then drag & drop copies of the files?

Adding New Data To Line Chart: New Data Does Not Inherit Previous Color Scheme

This has me very confused. Here's what's being done:
Right-click on existing chart
Select "Data..."
Add additional data in the dialog that pops up
Click check-mark
The chart appends more data to the existing lines on the line chart, as it should, however the newly created portion of one of the lines (new data) is not the same color as the line up to that point. The line color is #0084A9, but when the new data is entered the new data on that same line is represented in an ever so slightly darker blue.
Any guesses as to why that would be happening? I can manually chage it, but that's a hassle and shouldn't necessary - I wouldn't think, anyway. Any help would be appreciated.

OK looked at this closer, and seen your problem as acolor shift from PMS to a CMYK that was slightly off.
If you want to work with Hexadecimal colors, then you need to File>> Document Color Mode >> RGB, otherwise your colors won't stick but convert to cmyk and be off.
Your graph went through some editing and got corrupted. I copied and pasted your date into a new graph, and then used the testube to apply samples to get your colors back. Will send you an email with fixed file.
That’s the strangest thing. The color you’re seeing is #4e46ff, the color it should be is the color reflected in the legend: #0083a9
What’s extra interesting is that when I open it I see the legend color for the entire line. Then, when I add data, the section of the line that depicts the newly added data is #4e46ff …. So I have this two tone line. It’s intriguing that you opened this on a mac and this difference was presence, I wonder if that is in anyway a clue. Maybe the original document was created in RGB and the new data is on CMYK? Thoughts?

You can use the export datasource option to copy the data.
Another option is:
The steps for copying the contents of one cube to another:
1. Go to Manage -> Recontruct of the new cube.
2. Select the "selection button"(red , yellow, blue diamond button).
3.In the selection screen you can give the technical name of the old cube, requests ids you want to load, from & to date.
4.Execute and the new cube would be loaded.

How can I copy the date and time of a received email in Mountain Lion?

I recently installed the new Mountain Lion, however I am having a serious issue with the mail application. I use the mail application to download all of my emails and then I copy each one in to a Filemaker Database. I used to be able to copy the headers (from, to, subject, date, time) but now with the new mail in Mountain Lion it will not let me copy the date and time of the email. This is the most important part for me as I need to be able to track when the email was received once I have pasted it in to the Filemaker program. Anyone know if there us an option so that the date and time can be copied from the email?
