Erased Album Art in ios 7?

I have an iPhone 5, all my album was okay but one day I turned the wi-fi off on my phone and it erased all the art that I had, it did even for purchased music from iTunes... I went back last night and added artwork to all the album I had it for but it will not show up on my iphones but the songs show thier artwork in iTunes..anyone know why?

Hello all.
I have had a look at several posts.
The only way to turn off the Album Art Work Wall on your IOS 7 + Is to make sure your Portrait Orientation is turned on.
There is only one down side to this.
You will need to turn it off when you want to flip your phone sideways to watch a full movie or video clip.
How to find your Portrait Orientation.
Make sure you go back to your apps and do the following:
1: From the center button...put your finger on the bottom screen and flip your finger forward to bring up the menu that looks like this:
2: Click on the top right  which is the icon with the padlock with surrounding circles.
3: Go back to Music App, and you will find the art work no longer appears.
4: TADAA!! You are done
To change it back..... do the same method and turn Orientation Off.
I hope this helps?

How do I turn off the album art in itunes on my iphone with ios 7?
I want to turn it off because it is not aesthetically pleasing and it makes the scroll list really long by pushing the title text further apart.
A few of the albums have the wrong artwork, which will push me over the edge. I don't want to fix the artwork. I just don't want the artwork.
Please tell me how I can turn it off.
    Thanks,

    Hello there, Amir Nazhif.
The following Knowledge Base article provides some great information for making sure your side switch is set to serve as a Mute:

Particularly of help for you might be the following:
Enabling Mute if Use Side Switch is set to Lock Rotation
Swipe up along the bottom of the screen to display Control Center (you can do this from any screen, including the Lock screen).
    Tap the Mute button.
The Mute button will appear highlighted.

  • Album Art issues iOS 5

Everytime I sync my iPad (1st Gen) to my Macbook Pro 2010 running 10.7.2 deletes my album art gets deleted. From both my iphone and ipad. Does anyone know why it is doing this and how to make it stop? Its really annoying and I have to remove all of my music and then add them back to my devices.

Try this. Open your ipod and then hold "ctrl" whilst you highlight all the songs on a particular album. Then right click and select "get info". You should on the screen that comes up a box for album art that you can copy and paste into. Click ok and it should transfer the album art for you.

  • How do I fix the album art on my iPod? It has been scrabbled due to the iOS update.

My iPod touch 5th generation has had two problems come up since the iOS update; I regret updating because I was happy with how it was before. The album art has been scrabbled on my iPod; it has placed album art that goes with other songs to the wrong song or has album art I've never seen before.  My iPod also has a problem with music now. I've noticed that I am unable to play music that I once could. Some have an iCloud or stop symbol next to it and I can not listen to them. I notice that while it plays my music on shuffle, while looking at the screen and song, it will skip through about 2-5 or more songs as if it's not allowed to play it. I am very irratated with these problems. Everything was all dandy before these updates. Any feedback would be very helpful and I thank you.

  • Most albums missing album art on iPod Touch after updating to iOS 7

    Hi there,
I updated my 5th-gen iPod Touch to iOS 7 yesterday.
As the activation servers were overloaded for most of the afternoon, the update failed for me and my iPod touch ended up wiped and in recovery mode.
I installed a blank iOS 7 and then restored my settings from the previous day's iCloud backup.
I then reuploaded all my music from iTunes to the iPod.
Most of the album art is missing from the iPod and it's making me very sad. All the album art is visible in iTunes, so this is rather confusing. There seems to be no consistency to it, between albums I bought on iTunes or albums I bought elsewhere and ripped to MP3 and added to my iTunes library, or albums for which I got the art directly from iTunes or by adding it myself.
I'm using a PC with Windows 8 and the latest version of iTunes, if this matters.
    Any ideas?

  • Some of my album art disappeared after downloading iOS 8?

I checked my iTunes library after downloading the new update and I discovered that a ton of the album art on my songs are gone. When I went onto iTunes today to restore them, (I already know how to do that) it appeared that all of the art was fine. I synced my device for good measures. I went to check on my library once more, but I found that it was still the same, all blank. I tried once more and some were restored, but still a majority were blank. I know it's not a big deal, but I'm a sucker for everything all set and ready.

  • IOS 7 music app does not display artist pictures and has incorrect album art after master reset.

Strange issue here. I did the update from iOS 6 to iOS 7, after I did the update, I noticed my synced music has just a random photo of the artist / group, that seems to be downloaded from the iTunes sites, because these pictures of the artist/group is not my album artwork.
I did a master reset on my device because I wanted to start from a clean slate, and set it up as a new phone. I went through and adjusted all of my settings and synced my music back on via iTunes, now its not showing these pictures any longer, infact, the strangest issue of them all.. is now when I view artists, the album that I synced now has a complete different album artwork picture that is not related to that album.
I am at a loss, my iTunes is extremely organized, I have everything configured to be 100% accurate for track names, artist, album, and album artwork.
Anyone have any input here? It only screwed up after the reset I did. This has to be a bug or something.

SiMooew469: Thank you!  After countless wasted hours messing with this, your solution was the only one that worked!  After setting up a few phones "as new" I noticed all the artist images would appear (for those that have one) even with my Match turned on.  I could not duplicate it on my restored-from-backup iPhone5S, as I would get a mix of the images and album art, even for those artists that have profile photos on the as-new setups.  I couldn't afford to lose all my text messages, etc. that come with restoring a phone as-new, so I tried about everything else under the sun: I tried logging in-and-out of my Apple ID, toggling Match on-and-off, I even deleted iTunes_control folder using iExplorer on a Windows machine.  Nothing worked.
    Here's what finally did:
If you don't have it set this way already, toggle "Group By Album Artist" in Settings->Music. For some reason that makes a difference for some artists in your library that appear when album artist is set to "Various Artists" or something other than the track's artist.  Logout of your Apple ID.  Log in with any other Apple ID.  Open the Music app and watch all the artist images load in the Artisits tab.  Once it is done, logout of the other Apple ID and login with your regular Apple ID.  Finally, all the artist images will remain.  Those artists that do not have a profile photo with iTunes will still show album art, which is by design.  Hopefully Apple will keep updating that database.
Incidentally, it's a bit odd that those profile photos don't appear in the Artists view in iTunes 11...or am I the only one?

  • When I downloaded iOS 7 my iTunes album art automatically changed for me. Loved it. When I downloaded iOS 8 update it went back to the original artwork. How do I get it back like iOS 7??

Okay, I'm going to try and make as much sense as I possibly can without confusing people. I hope someone can help! So when I downloaded the iOS 7 update one 'major' change I noticed was that my album art in iTunes had automatically changed for me. It was really cool, more up-to-date, and overall enjoyed how it looked. Made it look a lot neater than my own album art I had put on there. Now, when I downloaded the new iOS 8 update I notice that all my album art when back to its original picture which I had put on there. How do I get it back to where it was when I downloaded the iOS 7 Update?? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I know this isn't the most "dying for help" question, but I'm curious anyways to why it has changed. Thanks!

Sorry no backup - no pictures.
Yes phone will automatically backup to icloud when on wifi and phone is charge, but your phone storage was full so it stop backing up.

  • Album art missing under artists tab on iPad 2 running iOS 5

I restored my iPad 2 to iOS 5 as a new iPad. Everything synced fine the first time and all album art showed up perfectly, but when I synced a second time, for some reason my iPad ended up messing up all the album art in the music app, but only under the artists tab. I tried unsyncing all of the music, and then resyncing all of it again, but it did the same thing if I synced it again. Only 5 artists have album art showing, but the rest are blank, even though every single album in my music library has album art. The album art in the actual albums tab is fine. Here's a picture that shows what it looks like:

Yup, driving me mad! I use my Ipad2 for professional DJing but simply cant any more. It took me three days to re-organise all my music and albums and get all the artwork in. I made the MASSIVE mistake of clicking 'sync over wifi' in itunes and now half the album art is missing again. Every time I re-sync, different artwork appears and different artwork vanishes????
I have now wiped all my music and am re-syncing yet again to see if it works.
Does anyone from Apple exist and can explain what the heck is going on here as IOS 5 has rendered my device almost unusable for its main purpose. I have to say, I have gone from selling Ipads at all my gigs to telling everyone who comes up to have a look not to bother any more - its probably caused several hundreds of laughs already, not the kind of advert Apple wants I'm guessing????

  • Album Art Issues After Updating To iOS 6.0.1

Just updated to iOS 6.0.1 from iOS 6.0 now some album art is not showing at all. In portrait mode it doesn't show art at all until I select the album. But even then it doesn't show on some of them. In landscape mode it shows up on some albums only but not all. All music on my iPhone was bought on iTunes and use to show before update. Wish I was still on iOS 5

I suppose that you can demand all you want. It would have to be proven that the iOS update broke this particular function but it could also be said that it was just a matter of time that the broken thing manifested itself. Since the phone is out of warranty, it could also be said that it is your risk to update software. I'm not trying to be argumentative here, but we are not Apple. We are users like you and just try and provide support to other users. What you decide to do from here is your decision. I've given you all I know to do.

  • I updated my iPad 2 iOS to 6.1.2 and lost my album art for all my music, how can I get them back

I updated my iPad 2 iOS to 6.1.2 and lost my album art for all my music , how can I get them back?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

  • Is it possible for the next IOS 6 update for the music album art to display on the homescreen as a backround image when music is playing?

Is it possible for the next IOS 6 update for the music album art to display on the homescreen as a backround image when music is playing?

It does, under certain circumstances. If you are playing music and lock the phone or it locks on its own, when you wake it up, the album art will show. It also shows as the background if you are in the music app. If this is not exactly what you are looking for, you can submit feedback to Apple about this feature at www.apple.com/feedback.

  • [iOS] Album art not showing for offline tracks

    Thread: 921107 915479 934743 970825 968593 966641 971447 937227
    Description:
It appears that on iOS some people are finding album art is not being displayed for offline tracks. This is predominately found with locally synced files but has affected some users with Spotify streamed content set as offline.
    To reproduce:
Sync a playlist as offline and then play the track. No artwork is displayed
    Workaround:
    None
    Additional information:
If you are having this issue, could you please let us know:
Model of device and iOS version
Whether the affected playlist contains only local files, a mixture or is all streaming only content
    Any particular artists/tracks being affected
Format of the local file including encoder (if known)
    Thanks!
When posting in this forum please make sure you have read these guidelines.

Issue exists for all Spotify content when synced to offline mode. iOS 8.1, iPhone 6 Plus 64gb, latest version of Spotify from the App store as of Nov 11, 2014. Synced content from computer also fails to display album artwork.

  • I recently upgraded my iPod Touch G4 with IOS 5. However, I cannot use album arts to select my songs any more. Every time I try to do it, the screen will freeze and jump back to the normal Apps screen. What can be possibly wrong?

Does anyone has the same issue after IOS 5 upgrade?

I have experienced the same issue with my 32gb 4g touch since upgrading to IOS 5.
The problem seems to be caused by very large album art graphics. When the album art screen freezes and the ipod jumps back to the apps screen the ipod app is actually crashing (presumably caused by a memory issue).
The short term solution I found is to simply reduce the size of the album art graphics files used (via itunes). Since I have reduced the file sizes of my album art the ipod app has not crashed.
There does still seem to be an issue with the smoothness of the cover flow app which is much more laggy and jerky since the ios5 upgrade - this was reported during beta testing so hopefully apple will address this issue.
