Erased Texts

I am in desperate need of some help! Does anybody know if there is any way at all to recover erased text messages? One of my kids was using my phone & deleted some of my received & sent text messages (because he said, "They were **bleep**...") Is it at all possible to recover these somehow?

Photoshop CS4 Trial Bugs - Eraser & Text problems

Hows everybody doing...I recently downloaded the Photoshop CS4 Extended Trial and installed it on my computer...I am noticing some bugs and im not really sure if its just a bug in the trial version which will be fixed when i buy the program or if there was an error with the install...
I dont have screenshots at the moment since im not on the computer having the issue but i can get them if needed...
First lets start with the eraser tool...When i set the eraser tool as a size of say about 10px it works fine...However, if i zoom in on the image above its nautral size i start to lose the eraser...When i say lose the eraser i mean you can no longer seen the round area which will be erased..When you zoom in part of the circle disappears...It will still erase and area of the set size but its sort of hard to do erasing on detailed images when you cant see the whole eraser....
More bugs with the eraser....If i set the eraser to a larger size, say 30px or more, i right off the bat start seeing less of the eraser area....It will go from a whole circle down to something like a half moon with only half the circle being displayed...
This may be a little hard to understand so if need be i will get some screenshots of what im talking about later....
I am also having a problem with the text...For starters, i cant scroll through the text...When i enter text and highlight it and highlight the fonts i would expect to be able to scroll through the fonts while watching the actual text change on thet screen....I am unable to do that, i highlight the text and the fonts and CS4 will let me scroll maybe 4-5 fonts and then it just stops and wont scroll anymore...
Another issue im having with the font is the size....Whenever i enter text it is extremely small...Even if im working with a 200px x 200px image if i set my font at say 75px its tiny, tiny enough to where i cant even see it to highlight it....There appears to be something wrong with the sizing of the text...Just to get text to show up normally, at a readable size, i have to set the font size to 800px+ and this is on images which are only like 600px wide and 300px tall...Usually a font of 800px would fill up this image but when i do it the 800px font shows up like a 36px font...
Like i said if this is all to hard to understand i can get some screen shots later on...I wanna make sure this is something which can be fixed before i go ahead and drop 700+ on the program...

Yes i installed the patch...That was the first thing i did, before checking the video driver...The patch didnt fix any of the problems im having...The video driver update did however fix the eraser/brush issue...
I did what you said in post #1 about un-checking the option listed....When i did that nothing changed for me....
I have some more details about the scrolling issue though....From what i am able to find it seems that if i just enter digits i am able to scroll through the entire list of fonts and see a live preview of every single one....
With any sort of text it will only allow me to scroll through 5-6 fonts...You can see that it wants to scroll more when i hold the arrow down cause you can see the blue hightlight flashing and the words trying to change but it just wont go any further...At times when i hold the arrow down to scroll through the fonts it will scroll through 5-6 and then all of a sudden just go white and wont let me scroll up or not...At that point i have to select the font list and pick a font

What did you use to create the form? If the form has been saved as a PDF, you'd need to use Acrobat to edit the text in it. Please tell me a bit more about how the form was created, and I'll be able to point you in the right direction.

Erasing Text Like on a Chalkboard

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how to simulate text being erased, as though it is on a chalkboard.
I have used the write-on effect to simulate it being written on.
But now I need a way to have it erased, and ideally in more of a haphazard way (as though someone is using a chalkbrush to erase it).

I assume that you have a layer with your text and a layer ith your chalkboard.
One way to erase the text is to use the Brush tool (one of the Paint tools) to paint on just the alpha channel of the layer with the text, turning it transparent where your strokes are.

MBP randomly selecting/erasing text as I type

I'm using a MBP 1,1 (dual-core 15") from 2006, and it's getting really cranky in its old age. For the past few months, it's occasionally frozen up for several minutes at a time, beachball spinning, with the HD making little grind-grind sounds.
Now, as I work, it's occasionally moving my cursor all over the place as I type -- to other sentences or even to other windows -- and selecting & deleting words or whole sentences during typing. It makes it impossible to use normally.
I've tried safe-booting and zapping the PRAM; it still does it.
Any thoughts?

My Droid RAZR M randomly erases my text and resets my screen, HELP!

I purchased a DROID RAZR M back in Nov. 2012 after eharing many good things about it. I've been a DROID fan since day 1 and havent had too many issues. RIght now I am stationed overseas in a country called Kyrgyzstan and we have Wi-Fi throught the whole base. SInce I left the USA, my phone will randomly erase text that I type or reset the screen or **** of movies I am watching. Its like the moment I left the USA my phone lost its mind. Is there anything I can do? Also do they make a anti-virus software for phones?

I have reviewed the information that you have brought forth.It does sound like the phone has a mind of its own since the move. I would suggest clearing data and cache on the device. You may do this by entering the Web Browser, selecting Menu and Selecting Settings. From the the “Advanced” Section select Privacy and Clear Browsing Data.
I would also suggest clearing data and cache on any application that is used often. You may do this by choosing Settings, selecting Apps, once you have reached apps. Slect the “All” tab and select “force stop.” Once you have completed this, you will be able to clear data from the “Storage” section.
I’m sure you will find this information beneficial. Let us know if you have any additional questions.

I am having chunks of text disappear, and inactive backspace delete functionality--any advice?

I am having trouble with losing chunks of text and loss of functionality re: the back-key that erases text; it stops working for a few minutes at a time. Any clues? It is an iPad 2.

It appears that you are using Acrobat 9.
In Acrobat 9 and 10, you can insert or replace text only if the font used for that text is installed on your system. Refer to this document for more information. Adobe Acrobat X Pro * Edit text.

Fully functional editing is supported in versions after Acrobat X. Edit text and images in PDFs | Adobe Acrobat DC tutorials. Latest Acrobat is available for 30 day trial as well. Give it a try.

"Erasing" in AA9Pro

I am trying out Acrobat 9 Pro. I am trying to figure out how to do something in AA9 that I did for years with AA7 using an add-on from Organic Toolbox called Eraser. That add-on allowed me to "erase" any portion of a page and at one stroke could do the same in every page of the document. This was particularly handy since I very often receive long legal documents and must convert the the text to Microsoft Word for further work. The majority have line numbers on each page as well as vertical lines on each side of the page (In the old days law offices typed legal documents onto stationery printed that way; that stuff or a word processing version of it is rarely used today except in California and maybe a few other places I have never visited), plus other stuff on each page such as the name of the document and the law firm that prepared it. All that extraneous (for my purposes) stuff vastly complicates converting the text to Word. AA7 chokes on it, as do 2 or3 conversion software programs I have tried. Even if some conversion software could render this stuff to perfection, I would still be stuck with getting rid of it in Word. (OK, if such perfect software put all that into headers and footers getting rid of it would be a snap, but I am unaware of anything that good). Doing this in AA7 with Eraser takes me hardly more than 3-4 minutes at the most for any document, regardless of its length.
(Note: the purpose of Eraser as I use it is not to permanently get rid of text. I believe the "Erased" text remains in the document but is not visible. That is of no concern to me since I use Eraser only to facilitate scanning and conversion. )
Sadly, the maker of Eraser appears to be defunct. Although I can install the add-on and run it in AA7, I have not figured out how to get it to work with AA9. Does anybody know how to do that? In the alternative, is there a way to do the same thing in AA9Pro? I have tried the Redaction feature. It does a pretty good job but only 1 page at a time. Considering how often I need this larger scale "erasing," AA9Pro is no good for me without this capability.And as I understand it I cannot run AA7 and AA9 on the same computer at the same time.

Thanks! I tried the Search and Redact but it is pretty useless. First I get this error message:
Documents can contain images and line art that appear as text but are not searchable. These items will not be found by Search and Redact. Please review your documents carefully to ensure that all sensitive information is properly marked for redaction .
Then I get a Search panel asking for single or multiple words or patterns. Of course, I am not looking to redact any words at all so much as to eliminate vertical lines and line numbers on the left side of the pages and a vertical line on the right. And usually a footer at the bottom with the page number etc. Anyway I tried to search for a particuklar word that I could see repeated on each page in the left margin. No dice. As far as I can tell the Search did not find the word I had it search for. So I am not sure I see the point of a search that cannot find anything.
The redacting feature is quite good when it comes to redacting specific parts of documents where you select the parts to be redacted manually. However, this is something I rarely ever have to do. So it looks like I'll have to take a pass on AA9 Pro and go back to AA7. In fact I have another project to work on and will ahve to uninstall AA9 in a day or two.

While searching for a photo, my Mac went into endless loop, so had to shut it down using button. After restart, highlightrd text looked "different." Also unable to highlight layers in Photoshop.

I was searching for a photo on myiMac when it went into an endless loop. Only way I could think of to stop was using the button at the back of my computer. After restart, had to erase text in Appleworks one character at a time, because highlighter did not work properly; also looked "different: when typing on an internet website . ..and was unable to highlight layers (in Photoshop). What did I do wrong? and How can I correct it? PS: Also unable to edit my system. (Am only using my iMac Intel these days, with OS X.4.11)

My text layer mask is not working when I test it

My text layer mask does not appear when I test the movie. The
mask works move the key along the timeline, but when I test the
movie nothing shows up. I'm doing exactly the same thing I do when
I mask images. I actually imported an image to the text layer and
the mask worked correctly. What am I doing wrong?

provide a link the fla - make sure your text layer is truly
linked to the Mask layer. What is the
font? Did you try breaking apart the font until it becomes
raw shapes? not that you want to do that
but save as with new name - try it and if it still doesnt
work, then the issue is not with your font.

Draw Lines Under Text in Spark RichEditableText like notebook

Hi All
We basically want a simple notebook(RichEditableText) control with lines in flex so people can type and scroll in it.
What's the best way to do it?
I saw someone did a onChildLineAdded approach

Since iOS 8 came out, my iPad Air with iOS 7.1.2 is slow on wifi searches. Is this the way to for me to update? After reading the common threads, I do not want to upgrade yet. Is there another solution?

What is wrong with this picture? We are forced to vent on forums and rely on other users to find answers to our problems. Obviously, after reading other posts, we all suffer from poor quality controls before release of upgrades and new "toys"! I have an iPad Air replacing an iPad 1st Gen bought on the first day of release. Was happy until iOS 7 was introduced. Since then, many frozen screens on the web, unexpected shut downs for reboot. No, it is not full, as I have over 70gigs available. I close my apps regularly so they don't run in the background. NOW, since the release of iOS 8, my wifi connection is slow like ****, to almost not working. And I haven't even ungraded to iOS 8! Is this Apple's new way to force me to upgrade? My iPhone 4S is faster, although I have to change it. No battery life, regular unexpected shutdowns. JUST WRITING THIS POST IS PAINFULL: at one point, I was only able to erase text by backing up... No editing possible, no new typing either... As if I was monitered and they did not agree with my text. So weird... Anyways it is back now. As I was saying, need to change phone, but I am afraid to buy the 6 with iOS 8.
SO, here are my questions: what can i do for my iPad Air connectivity issues? And between an iOS 7 iPhone 5S and iOS 8 iPhone 6, what to choose?

There are ways to get direct Apple Support. These forums are here to help out those who want help. Not for those who just want to vent.

The iPad Air shipped with iOS 7 from factory, so not sure what that means. it worked with 7 but then it did not?
Whatever is going on with your iPad now, is completely unrelated to the release of iOS 8. Apple does not tamper with the devices to force you to update. In fact you don't even have to update at all. I know people still using iOs 6 because they like it.
Personally I updated my iPad 2, an iPad Mini, and my iPhone 5 to iOS 8 and have experience none of the issues that seem to plague people. Should i automatically assume the update is flawless? No, but I also don't assume that Apple is causing issues to my devices remotely. That is just ludicrously ridiculous.
The forum software here does have many issues. It also ironically enough doesn't get along with iPads very well for some reason, but Apple has nothing to do with that. Jive, the makers of the forum software provide it to Apple and maintain it as well. If there are issues with the forum software we report them to them, and they try to fix them.
With that said, apple sold over 10 million iPhone 6s on launch, have you seen anywhere near that many complaints about it?
In a pool of devices that large there's bound to be issues, but its still a very very small percentage of users having any issues at all let alone device breaking ones which are even less.
Good luck finding another Technology company that has a percentage of issues as low as Apple has in a pool of devices as large as the one Apple manages.
As a final point, what have you tried to solve the slowness and other issues you are experiencing. Sometimes software suffers bugs. If resetting the device has not fixed this perhaps a restore may work out.
