Erasing outlook daemon for earlier versions

I am getting an error message "first delete the daemon from the startup items" - being newer, I am not sure where to look for the startup items!

System Preferences -> Users & Groups -> Login Items tab. Select the daemon (not check/uncheck) in the right pane, then click the "–" below the list of items. Restart Mac.

Is there a way to package an InDesign CC book for earlier versions of InDesign - CS5 specifically?

You have to export the individual files to .idml, open those in CS5 and add the CS5 versions to a new CS5 book.

  • Where I can find documentation platforms (operating systems) CERTIFICATES for earlier versions of ASE (15.5, 15.0, 12.5, etc)?

    Hi....
Where I can find documentation platforms (operating systems) certificates for earlier versions of ASE versions of ASE (15.5, 15.0, 12.5, etc)?

The detailed certification information that used to be available on the Sybase web site is not currently externally accessible since SAP decommissioned the site - all that is currently available is the basic information in the SAP Product Availability Matrix (PAM) and the base release information available in the ASE documentation.
ASE support is looking into ways of restoring external access to the certification reports, possibly here as SCN documents or on the SCN wiki.  I don't have any estimate for when this will be available, though.
If you have a support contract, you can open an incident to ask about specific versions/platforms; we still have internal access to the reports.  If the support engineer doesn't know how to access the reports, ask them to get in touch with me.

  • Source Distribution for Earlier Versions

I have a large project built in 8.6 that i'm trying to create a source distribution for. Is it possible to make the source dist. for an earlier version of labview (say 8.2)? Thanks

    Hello Paul,
Since source distribution is a collection of all VIs that are needed for your project, you would not be able to use the VIs in 8.6 for an earlier version of LabVIEW. However, you can use Save for Previous Version of your project to save ALL VIs in an earlier version of LabVIEW which then you can create the source distribution for that particular version of LabVIEW.

  • Need to return to earlier version of Foxfire because important software subscription is only available for early version.

A frequently used software program (web based) has not been able to keep up with the many versions and rapid changes of the Foxfire updates. They say if we go back to an earlier version the program will work again. How can an earlier version be installed?

  • Reference movies for earlier versions of QT

Hi, I'm doing an national intranet project behind a fire wall and have encoded my video content with the H264 codec. I then saved as a self contained movie and then from that saved as a reference movie, to which i point by embedding in a web page. It looks great, and loads (fast start) quite quickly, even in the lowest bandwidth offices.
The problem is this only works with QT 7 and many people in our org still have version 6. They also do not have admin access to their machines and therefore cannot update.
So I recompressed another version with the sorenson codec, and it's not too bad (although nowhere near as nice as the H264). I then tried to make a reference movie with the MakeRefMovie app, hoping that i can detect the user's version of QT and seamlessly deliver appropriate content depending on the user's QT version. But the sorenson version was not recognised by QT 6 via the reference movie. (although it plays just fine when i point directly to the self contained movie, or save that as a ref movie... but then the version 7 users would have to see an inferiour quality movie...)
Is the MakeRefMovie app the only way to do this ? Can i not specify the movies i want to refer to in QT pro 7 ? Any idea's as to why my first attempt with MakeRefMovie didnt work ?
Are reference movies that point to multiple movie versions intended for streaming only ?
Is there a way to upgrade the browser plugin without having to download and install the player?
Thanks for any help or ideas...

No. AFAIK, it requires at least 10.6.6.

  • App Store for earlier versions of Snow Leopard?

No. AFAIK, it requires at least 10.6.6.

  • QuickTime incompatibility with earlier versions

I run a tech support department for a software distributor. Some of the titles we sell have versions of QuickTime going back to 2.1. We spend a huge amount of time supporting customers with QuickTime issues because the program is not backwards-compatible. The earlier versions, say 2 - 4, offered the option on installing to "look for other versions of QuickTime," which you could "Skip" and then you could install different versions side-by-side on the same machine which worked fine - each program would look for its particular version.
I believe version 6.5.x was the first version of QT that, when installed and updated, seemed to work with the programs using earlier versions. Then series 7 arrived, which insisted that you uninstall any other versions, and it was not backwards-compatible...software developed with prior versions would not display the multimedia content.
One of the publishers we distribute programs for has a 2007 and 2008 edition of an encyclopedia that uses the 7.0.4.80 QuickTime. This version, once installed, defaults to automatically upgrade to the latest version of QT, but when users update the program to 7.2, they receive an error message that QT won't play MP3 and MP4 files. The only fix that we've discovered is to manually replace one of the Jar files. Apparently, a file in the 7.0 verion of QT is looking for that specific version of QT.
We have hundreds of software titles that won't run on a system with the new QT. Some of our publishers that use QT are as concerned with the compatibility issues as we are, and are considering alternative programming for their multimedia content. We've spent countless hours trying to offer support to users who are frustrated - either that their current software is no longer working, or that new purchases are experiencing QuickTime problems.
Occasionally we are forced to recommend uninstalling the latest version of QT and reinstalling a prior version, at the same time disabling the option to update the program. We are looking at the possibility of discontinuing distribution of programs that use QuickTime.
If anyone has any information that would shed any light on this situation, we're open to suggestions. We are in a unique position to assist in resolving this problem since we have several programs using different versions of QuickTime, and we're also to communicate any antidotes that may exist to the other publishers we work with, so any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

What Kirk says is generally true so far as QuickTime support for earlier versions of QuickTime media.
That said, I wonder if there is another set of problems here. Could it be that the media is supported, but the system calls are not? QuickTime for Java, for instance, has come, gone, and come back again, and in any case does not support the complete QuickTime API.
Another problem I have seen is that the default settings for the QuickTime installer seem to change periodically, and it affects the types of media that QuickTime will handle by default. Part of that is because in an early version, QuickTime did the same thing that RealPlayer does now, taking over ALL media types whether it could play them or not. Now the installer is much better behaved, but any application that just opens a file and assumes QuickTime will handle it, as opposed to opening QuickTime and using it to open the file, will break. Likewise, in the name of "security", Apple has recently removed some of the interactive features from QuickTime (why was it Apple's responsibility to fix a lazy programmer error at MySpace, anyway?)
The fact remains that QuickTime is the best multimedia platform out there, but there have been changes, and my guess is that the most critical changes are not in the support for older media, but rather in the API.

  • Get reports content of earlier versions through ABAP code.

    Hi All,
I want to get contents of report in an internal table for earlier versions.
Do we have any standard table/FM to get the report's content in our program?
To be more specific I want to know how much line of code added/modified in each versions.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    PK

    hi pranshu,
I find your requirement very different.
i have few doubts, when u mean contents u mean lines of code or the output records of the report.
if u mean lines of code modified u want to know, u have version management where u can find the changed lines of code, since the inception of the program.
    regards,

  • Outlook connector for JES 2003

    Hi,
I have Java Enterprise System 2003. Is there an outlook connector for this version?
    Thanks in advance,

I think the outlook connector requires UWC which is not included in JES 2003Q4.

  • Is there a download link so I can revert to an earlier version of Firefox temporarily? I am currently using the most recent non-beta 3.6.x

One of the reasons I have used Firefox for so long is the amount of useful add-ons. Some of those I use most remain inoperable in the current version. A few of them I absolutely need to use in the coming days - or, really, already. Thank you.

Details of how to do this are shown in this link - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Installing+a+previous+version+of+Firefox
As you just need it temporarily, an alternative is to install a portable version of Firefox on your hard drive. That will not interfere with the current version. You can get the portable version from http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable - links for earlier versions are near the bottom of that page.

  • Airport stopped working, so I tried to reinstall the OS and applications, but because it's all earlier versions, I can't use Word, iWork, or anything else. Since I didn't erase the versions I got with my (secondhand) macbook, can I uninstall and go back?

I bought the macbook with other stuff installed, but was only given the original discs. I hadn't realised that the OS and pretty much everything else had been upgraded from what was on the discs, and now I can't work on any of my documents. I have also bought software based on the operating system installed when I bought it, and now some of it is no longer usable, either.
It's bad enough I have to borrow my roommate's computer to get internet for job hunting and important communications, since Airport just stopped working (not sure what's up with that, but I hardly care now, in light of everything else), but now I need it to even write out lesson plans for my volunteer teaching or do my own writing. If I had a job, I'd have gone to an Apple certified place a long time ago to try fixing the Airport. Since I couldn't afford it, I thought I'd try reinstalling everything. I don't know much about where everythign is, so I figured maybe that would reinstall Airport, too. .
The sucky thing is, I had planned to buy more recent versions of any of the extra programs that I use once I had the money. just not quite yet.
I didn't use the 'delete and install option,' yet the earlier versions seem to have taken over and overwritten things. For instance, now some programs say parts are missing, or are just trial versions.
Lesson learned: Leave things well enough alone until you can afford the experts. Obviously there are some things I can't fix for myself.

Hi!! To add more to the issue, the other day, my airport card is nowhere to be found. It now says no airport card installed which is really crazy. I also noticed that my MBP freezes during start up and I had to zap the PRAM so it would open up. Anyone there who experienced the same thing? I'd really appreciate your suggestions. Thanks!
