Erasing printer memory

I have a HP Photosmart C6300 All-in-One printer that no longer works.  I want to be sure that any data I scanned or copied no longer resides within the printer's memory.  I would like to send it to HP for recycling.
This question was solved.

  • Printer memory error

    When I try to print an XML Publisher report directly to a printer from the EBusiness Suite, I get the following error:
    PDF Status page
    PDF file not printed. 128 MB of memory is required to enable direct PDF printing.
    Does this mean that I need to increase the memory in my printer? Are printer specifications for XML Publisher documented anywhere?

    Yes,
    You need to increase your printer memory and make it 128MB (minimum).
    Because PDF direct printing is required minimum 128 MB.

  • Printer memory question

    I purchased a color laserjet mfp m177fw the other day. It is supposed to have 123 mb ram. In the set up there are only options for 16 or 32 mb. Where is the rest of the ram? The reason I ask is that during printing the printer prints 3 pages and stops fpr about 15 seconds then 2 more until done. I am using Windows 7 with 8 meg of ram. Just wondering if i am missing something.

    Hi @bill-wgm ,
    I see by your post that you want to know how to get more memory. I can help you.
    Please take a look at these two suggestions to try.
    Check in the printer drivers to see if you have the option for this model to increase the printer memory.
    Go to start, devices and printers, right click your printer, left click printer properties, click on Device Settings tab, go down to Installable options, select Printer Memory and from the drop down see what choices you have.
    You can also turn off the Archive Printing on the printer.
    Go to setup, services, archive printing, turn it off.
    If you need further assistance, just let me know.
    Have a nice day!

  • Storing signature in Printer memory and accessing it in the sapscript

    Hi Gurus ,
    I have a requirement to upload signatures on to the printer memory (Its a HP 4250 printer for printing checks) and access the same to print them while printing the checks.
    Please let me know the steps to achieve the following
    1) Uploading the signatures to the printer and in which format - how should this be done.
    2) How to acces the signatures in the printer in the sapscript form
    Thanks
    Rupendra

    The only way that I know of that a signature can be stored directly on a printer is through the use of an add-on simm card.  Please look at OSS Note 18045, it references a company that will create a signature board for your printer.  One of the problems with this is that a new card has to be created if signatures change, we no longer use this method but use either RSTXLDMC to upload TIF images, or we use SE78.
    Thanks

  • How do I erase HP80 printer memory

    I've read a lot of posts that indicate that most printers do not have a memory once they are unplug.  Because this printer was used by a doctor, we need to confirm that the same is true for this particular printer.
    Thanks in advance for your response(s)!!

    Simply follow the manual to Reset the printer back to Factory Defaults.

    laserjet pro 200 color mfp m276nw stops printing giving an error message that the is memory low. How do I clear the memory?

    I have had the same issue, cannot print multiple pages without having the memory low error appear.  I have cleared the faxes from the setting menu. I have done an NVRAM reset and am able to print a 3 page document once and then receive the low memory error when I attempt to print another 3 page document. Please PM me the way to resolve this problem.  Thanks in advance.

  • How to print memory address?

    Hi,
    if an object has a toString() method, how can i print it's memory address?
    thanks!

    The memory address is meaningless and so I don't understand why you need it. However if your question is how you print what the toString() method would have returned if you hadn't overridden it, you could read the API documentation for Object in which it says that Object's toString() returnsgetClass().getName() + '@' + Integer.toHexString(hashCode())Of course if you have overridden hashCode() as well then even this code won't give you that. And by the way the API docs say that hashCode() doesn't necessarily return a memory address. However I suspect you are using this strange question to solve some other problem that could better be solved in a different way.

  • What is stored in 7410 printer memory?

    I am trying to understand two things. 1.) What is stored in the memory of the 7410 all in one; and 2.) does unplugging it clear the memory?.

    The Officejet 7410 memory includes the number of pages printed, scanned and copied (but not any of the actual content).  There is also a fax log that contains information on what numbers have been called (or received from), the duration, the number of pages and the date.
    You can clear the fax memory by resetting the printer - turn off the printer and unplug the power, then plug it back in while holding the # and 6 buttons in.  This will eventually indicate "Semi-full reset" on the screen, release the # and 6 buttins and press OK. After the reset you can press setup, 2, 3 to print a FAX report to verify there is no FAX information left.
    If you are disposing of the printer make sure you also remove any memory cards inserted into the camera card slots in the front.

  • Clear printer memory

    I have a Deskjet 4480 which is great but I cannot figure out how to clear the memory. There has to be a simple way. It's so frustrating when the printer goes on printing stuff that I don't want anymore.
    Thanks for any suggestions.

    For the Deskjet 970  (and perhaps the Deskjet 4480?) there is a cancel button on the printer (the X button).  Pressing this will immediately cancel printing, although the job will continue spooling to the printer.  The reason turning the printer off and back on does not clear the issue is that the document is held in the computer's queue and will be resent when the printer is turned back on.

    if you can detail this +"If the managed bean uses a HashMap to store values then the bean itself can be used to expose an interface for all of what you want it to do. So its an architecture decision to make (which you should do when designing the application)"+

        Hi mountain444!
    Sorry to learn of the fate of your RAZR. No worries, I can help you erase the device. You would simply do a master reset. I know you can't see the screen, and this is why there is a Preferred Method for this, as well as an Alternate Method. Please follow the steps for the Alternate Method listed below. Thanks!

  • Printing memory and performance optimization

    Hello,
    I am using JVM 1.3 for a big Java Application.
    Print Preview consumes 1.5MB of JVM's memory and performance is slow.
    Please give your valuable ways to reduce memory usage and performance improvement
    will be appreciated.
    /* print method in ScrollablePanel extends JPanel */
         public int print(Graphics g, PageFormat pf, int pi) throws PrinterException
              double pageHeight = 0;
              double pageWidth = 0;
              Graphics2D g2 = (Graphics2D)g;
              pageWidth = pf.getImageableWidth();
              if (pi >= pagecount)
                   return Printable.NO_SUCH_PAGE;
              g2.translate(pf.getImageableX(),pf.getImageableY());

              g2.scale(scaleX,scaleX);
              this.print(g2);
              g2.dispose();
              System.gc();
              return PAGE_EXISTS;
    /* print preview */
    private void pagePreview()
    BufferedImage img = new BufferedImage(m_wPage, m_hPage, BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_ARGB);
    Graphics g = img.getGraphics();
    g.setColor(Color.white);
    g.fillRect(0, 0, m_wPage, m_hPage);
    target.print(g, pageFormat, pageIndex);
    pp = new PagePreview(w, h, img); // pp is JPanel
    g.dispose();
    img.flush();
    m_preview = new PreviewContainer(); //m_preview is JPanel
    m_preview.add(pp);
    ps = new JScrollPane(m_preview);
    getContentPane().add(ps, BorderLayout.CENTER);
    Best Regards,
    Krish

    Good day,
    As I tried, there are two ways of doing printPreview.
    To handle this problem, add only one page at a time.
    To browse through the page use Prev Page, Nexe Page buttons in the toolbar.
    1) BufferedImage - occupies memory .
    Class PagePreview extends JPanel
    public void paint(Graphics g) {
    g.setColor(getBackground());
    g.fillRect(0, 0, getWidth(), getHeight());
    g.drawImage(m_img, 0, 0, this);
    paintBorder(g);
    This gives better performance, but consumes memory.
    2) getPageGraphics in the preview panel . This occupies less memory, but re-paint the graphics everytime when paint(Graphics g) is called.
    Class PagePreview extends JPanel
    public void paint(Graphics g)
    g.setColor(Color.white);
    RepaintManager currentManager = RepaintManager.currentManager(this);
    currentManager.setDoubleBufferingEnabled(false);
    Graphics2D g2 = scrollPanel.getPageGraphics();
    currentManager.setDoubleBufferingEnabled(true);
    g2.dispose();
    This addresses memory problem, but performance is better.
    Is there any additional info from you?
    Good Luck,
    Kind Regards,
    Krish

  • Erasing TM using Airport Utility erases printing/internet settings, too?

    If I use Airport Utility and under Disks choose Erase, will this erase all my internet and wireless printer settings too? (My fingers are crossed that this isn't the case...)
    Also, I have my iMac connected via ethernet and wirelessly. When I turn off Airport then the ethernet connection kicks in automatically. Am I correct in assuming that if I were to erase everything and start new, I should just keep Airport off (= is there anything in Airport Utility that I should do)?
    On a slightly different note, Safari doesn't work when I connect via ethernet (only FIrefox does). Is there anything that comes to anyone's mind that would cause this? I have turned off TCP/IP - Configure IPv6 but that makes no difference.
    Thank you so much.

    Lisa Vogt wrote:
    I really appreciate your responses.
    In response to:
    So the TC is not the devise generating your network? You have another wireless router? Then ethernet only is fine. In Airport Utility change Wireless to "OFF" and Internet to "OFF (Bridge Mode)".
    TC is the device that I use for my wireless network (I do not have another wireless router, only an AirExpress in the living room hooked up to speakers). Should I change Wireless to OFF in Airport Utility only during the initial re-backing up of my data? When finished with the re-backing up of my data, should I change the settings? Will this interfere with my printer and AirExpress in the other room?
    I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was only connected temporarily for the initial full backup. Then don't change any setting other than, turning OFF Airport Preferences (NOT Airport Utility) while connected to ethernet. Then, yes, turn it back ON once the backup is complete and you are no longer connected via ethernet. The idea here is that by turning OFF Airport Prefs while connected via ethernet, you are assured of the fastest connection speed to the TC. Otherwise, wireless may still take precedence and slow down the transfer.
    In response to:
    What do you mean by "Safari doesn't work?" Please be precise and as informative about the issue as possible.
    It's strange... When connected by ethernet, Safari does not load. It just hangs. Firefox works without any problem. Since my iMac is right next to Time Capsule there is no need really for this computer to be connected wirelessly. I use wireless only because I prefer to use Safari. Any ideas at all?
    Now, I'm a little confused. Do you intend on keeping the Mac connected to the TC via ethernet permanently since you say "no need really for this computer to be connected wirelessly."? If that's the case, then In Airport Utility set Wireless to "Create a wireless network" and Internet to "Share a public IP address".
    Cheers!
