Erasures caused by what?

Twice I have experienced this problem. I will attempt to share it with you.
I read the e-mail senders and delete the mail that is junk, advertisements or from those I do not know.
Apple twice sent me i-Pod advertisements and i-Tune advertisements. I did not open then, I erased them.
In my mail account I created three other folders to hold my other e-mails I wished to retain for immediate reference.
After I deleted the advertisements, some how, some way, the contents in the other folders were erased. This happened on two the the six Macintosh computers I own.
I use .Mac as my home page and only access mail through .Mac
When I currently delete e-mail, those advertisements containing graphics, are now troublesome to delete.
I get a solid blue page with a warning telling me the e-mail cannot be deleted using this application.
I have to close screens and re-delete e-mails. What is going on???

Please clarify, are you talking about using Mac OS X’s Mail or about .Mac mail on the web? This forum is for discussing issues related to the Mail & Address Book applications included with Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger). If you’re not talking about Mac OS X’s Mail, but .Mac mail on the web instead, the right forum for discussing such issues would be .Mac Email On The Web.
