ERD not determined while using plain http adapter as Sender

Hi All,
ERD is not determined while using Plain Http Adpter as Sender.Is there any way to determine ERD table by using Http adapteras Sender?
Regards,
Rajesh

Are you doing synchronous scenario???
if yes should have leaving the value for the Software Component Version empty for Receiver determination .

  • Using extra attributes in plain Http Adapter

    Hi All,
    I am using a Plain HTTP Adapter to send messages to XI. This is working fine but i'm facing a problem with HTTP variables.
    I need to send a flag as an http variable that identifies the message as a new message or not. It's important for me that this variable is reachable in the Receiver Determination so i can create a routing rule based on that. I've read this help from sap (<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/64db4daf9f30b4e10000000a11466f/content.htm">Configuring the Sender Plain HTTP Adapter</a>), but i couldn't find a place to set the "Adapter-Specific Message Attributes".
    Thanks a lot for any help.
    Regards,
    Leonardo Tayt-son

    In your Sender HTTP Adapter, check out for "Adapter-Specific Message Attributes" section (usually, it's the last section). Mark the "Use Adapter-Specific Message Attributes" checkbox. Then, mark "Apply URL Parameters" checkbox and enter a name for Parameter 1 (for example, New).
    Then, your incoming http URL shoud be something like http://<application_hostname>?New=true .
    And in your receiver determination, go to condition editor for each Business System, and enter expression editor for left expression. Check "Context Object" and select "URLParamOne" parameter from "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/HTTP" namespace. For the right expression, use the value you want.
    Them you can use your condition like
    If (URLParamOne = true) send to BS 1
    If (URLParamOne = false) send to BS 2

  • Problem with plain http adapter on XI 2.0

    Hi all,
    i have a problem setting up proper communication between XI 2.0 and PI 7.0 system using plain http adapter.
    Regardless of what i pass as url argument, i always receive the following error message:
    HTTP-Server Code 500 Reason Internal Server Error Explanation URL-Parameter namespace (Sender Interface-namespace) is missing (see first link)
    SXMB_MONI Trace:
    [http://image-upload.de/image/Rv3NeE/77c11c84fc.jpeg]

    [http://image-upload.de/image/2WqCqz/7513a1a366.jpeg]

    Hi,
    the namespace of the inbound interface in the interface determination was missing. So now it kind of works. But we still have the problem, that we are not able to pass parameters via URL, the XI 2.0 just ignores them.
    Is there a way to enhance the url by using the Header Fields tab. Can you give me an example for the valid params?
    Best Regards

    Hi,
    I´ve found a SAP-Note concerning this error-message 692057
    There is the note 450226 gives an overview over error codes
    Probably below solution may help you.........
    As an administrator on your portal go to:
    System Configuration > Service Configuration >applications
    Under: com.sap.portal.ivs.httpservice > Services > Proxy
    If any proxy settings are configured you may end up with the problem, so you need to set the "nonProxyHosts" to include the trex host.
    After a restart the search was working normally again.
    Thanks

  • Plain HTTP adapter fort HTTPs

    Hi guys,
    I use receiver plain HTTP adapter for sending SOAP request. Followinf parameters have tu be entred:
    Addressing Type: URL Address
    Target Host: <host>
    Service Number: <port>
    Path Prefix: <path>
    Then final address is generated:
    http://<host>:<port>/<path>
    It's working fine if I use http protocol.
    Now I need to send SOAP request to address https://<host>/<path>. I don't know number of port where SSL communication's running.
    Is it possible to enforce using of https protocol instead of http? Is it possible to enter empty port number? Or do you have any other idea how to pass around this problem?
    Thank you in advance for every advice!
    Regards
    Zbynek

    >>Is it possible to enforce using of https protocol instead of http?
    Instead of using URL Addressing option, you need to start using HTTP Destination option. An RFC destination type G should then be created where the similar details of hostname and path should be provided.
    >Is it possible to enter empty port number?
    Yes it could be empty, but you need to confirm it from the receiver party that would they be able to receive https request or not if no port is provided. This would depend upon the type of implementation they have at their end.

    Prateek

  • Plain HTTP Adapter vs SOAP Adapter with regards to SSL

    Hi,
    I need to setup communication channles within XI to send and receive secure xml. I am confused after reading the XI documentation and the some of the discussion forums on SDN.
    Can anyone clarify the following:
    1) Does the plain HTTP Adapter support SSL? According to the XI documentation is does NOT? Have I miss read it?
    2) This being the case, the only way to send and receive secure XML is to use the XI/SOAP Adapter?
    Thanx for your help.
    Cheers
    Yackeen

    Hi Yackeen,
    no, that's not true. The plain HTTP Adapter supports SSL. No problem.

  • Use of HTTP adapter

    Hi Folks,
       Can anyone give me the use of HTTP adapter, and in what case we go for HTTP adapter with an example.
    Their is SOAP  adapter which can communicate with the webservices then what is the use of HTTP adapter.
    Thanks,
    Srinivas Reddy.

    Hi Reddy,
    Simply if the security is not concern then use the HTTP adapter otherwise use the SOAP adapter. In the SOAP adapter security is available.
    The plain HTTP adapter gives application systems the option of communicating with the Integration Engine and exchanging business data using a plain HTTP connection. Depending on the receiver system, outbound messages can be enhanced with certain information.
    The SOAP adapter enables you to exchange SOAP messages between remote clients or Web service servers and the Integration Server or the PCK.
    In the SOAP adapter, you can specify security settings to be used to sign/verify the SOAP body. In addition, you can specify the standard to be used for signing/verifying the SOAP message.
    whenever Xi need to communicate with any sort of webservice i.e remote applications it uses SOAP adapter.. And XI uses HTTP adapter when you want to post a HTTP request message from a web application to XI.
    Regards
    Ramesh

  • Plain HTTP Adapter (XML return without namespace)

    Hello Experts,
    I'm very new at XI.
    I'm using XI 7.0 SP9.

  • SQL types over PLSQL types while using Oracle Applications adapter in BPEL

    Use SQL types over PL/SQL types while using Oracle Applications adapter
    in BPEL/ ESB
    This document will be focusing on Oracle Applications adapter. However Database adapter is much like OA adapter (even OA adapter uses DB Adapter), so the readers who are interested to explore DB adapters, can relate things with this document and go further as well.
    Some Guidelines for writing PL/SQL APIs for OA Adapter
    As we know when we create a partner link from the OA adapter wizard it sometimes writes some wrapper script supportive to the OA Adapter WSDL which contains below
    * Object type for PL/SQL RECORD
    * Nested table of the given type for PL/SQL TABLE. For example, the nested table of NUMBER.
    * INTEGER substituted for PL/SQL BOOLEAN
    * Wrapper Script for converting above three set of data types . (PLSQL to SQL and SQL to PLSQL conversion functions)
    In runtime this wrapper script for converting PL/SQL to SQL and SQL to PL/SQL is an extra overhead.
    So the first advice would be to avoid the use of the below as parameters of PLSQL API being called by OA Adapter.
    * PL/SQL RECORD
    * PL/SQL TABLE. For example, the nested table of NUMBER.
    * PL/SQL BOOLEAN
    In other way we can say we should try to use only SQL data types in arguments if we are planning to call any PL/SQL API from the OA Adapter.
    If the requirement is to use a table or record uses the Object type. In place of BOOLEAN better to use VARCHAR or INTEGER what ever fulfills your requirement. Following this guideline we can reduce a huge number of Line of codes to be run each time the adapter being called.
    Generally, Oracle E-Biz standard APIs use PL/SQL record types and table types so when there is a requirement to call these API’s from OA Adapter (this is a common requirement in development), and if we directly browse the API in OA Adapter Configuration Wizard and create the partner link, again a huge number of code is written by the wizard in the wrapper script (a number of extra mapping of fields which are not being used in the interface).
    In this case better would be to create an Object type with only the required fields which are being used in that call and use them as parameters for the PLSQL API.

  • Plain HTTP adapter error

    Hi Seth.
    Thanks for your reply.
    Unfortunately, your thread didn't help me.
    Let me to explain the problem more detail.
    The error occurs on outbound channel when Integration Engine is calling the plain HTTP adapter. I think so because no messages appear in Adapter Engine (For check it I use Message Display Tool).
    And what is more the error code changed. It is 404 now:
    <!--  Call Adapter -->
    <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="">
      <SAP:Category>XIAdapter</SAP:Category>

  • How to send the payload to a jsp using receiver Http adapter?

    Hi experts,
    I have this scenario from Legacy to XI to external app server.I have a test jsp to execute that functionality .Its a jsp which has 1 textarea named "test" and when I click on the submit buton I get a response back.This way I am able to test this independently.Now from XI when I am executing my scenario I am getting status code '1250' and message as ' http request(test) is null'.Now in the scenario in http adapter I just provide the target host : ip of server ,
    service number : port no ,
    path: the container or the request handler. But this scenario fails and gives me the above erroneous response.Now Basically I am not able to get how to send the value to the textarea "test"? please provide help as soon as possible.Do we have to put the name of the jsp in the "path" in http adapter and use prolog as test=.I tried this but it doesnt work.
    Is there any way to check the URL that it forms after appending the querystring in the url ...?
    So please provide help on this or suggest a solution to [email protected] as soon as possible.....
    Thanx in advance.
    Akshata

    hey Shekhar,
    thanx for that prompt reply but I have configured the communication channel in the same manner as suggested by u.
    actually I have this jsp page http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8080/abcdef/try/efg.jsp where there is a textarea "test" which has to be filled and there is a submit button.When I test this http client i.e the above jsp page independently then it goes to handler
    http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8080/abcdef/trial/    And it gives a proper response message after clicking on the submit button.
    now I want to carry out the same using receiver http adapter. I need to pass the value for this inputfield names "test" on that jsp . so right now I have configyured the adapter as
    addressing type: url
    target host : xx.xx.xx.xx
    service no:8080
    path : here I have given the path of handler i.e /abcdef/trial I tried giving the jsp page also but logically I guess it should be the handler.
    content type: text/xml; charset=iso-8859-1
    xml code: UTF-8
    Mask special characters (URL escaping) checked.
    now since the name of the inputfield is "test" in the prolog I gave test=
    But it doesnt work I get this error "http request parameter [test] is null" in the response message  which I guess suggests that it is not able to send the value for the field"test" to that handler.Please suggest how to send this and tell me if there are any other configurations that I have to do in the receiver communication channel.
    Thanx ,
    Akshata

  • Configure plain http adapter for receiving message from an external system

    Hi,
    we use Pi/700.
    Now I have an external system and I have to use HTTP (plain) to send messages to XI (via plain http adapter).
    I have no experiences with HTTP!
    In the external system I can only configure "URL, Username, Password" for sending messages - that's all!
    What do I have to configure in XI (communication channel, abap-stack, java-stack,...)?
    I don't know the URL of my XI-system. Is there an transaction code to get this information?
    Why do I need a Username/Pasword?
    For testing I can use a "http-post test tool" I found here in this forum.
    Thank you all for any help!
    Regards
    Wolfgang

    Hi Hummel,
    In Exteranl System u have to use these values
    name="myhost"      value="xiserver"
    name="myport"      value="8000"
    name="mysystem"    value="XY_BSservice"
    name="myinterface" value="Order_out"
    name="mynamespace" value="urn:xi:hcl:powebapp"
    name="myqos"       value="BE"
    name="myclient"    value="300"
    name="myuser"      value="XYZCLNT"
    name="mypass"      value="xiuser"
    Here My system is the Business service created in Integration directory of XI, Interface is the one created in Integration Repository (This is Outbaound from external sys to XI)
    In XI U have to create
    Data Types : 1) Source Structure data type(from extenal sys)
                 2) Target structure (where u want to send from XI)
    Message Types : 2 with above DT's
    Message Interface: 1) Outbound, Async (Order_out)
                       2) Inbound , Async (for the target sys)
    Then Message mapping and Interface mapping as usual..
    And in ID u have to create 2 services one is XY_BSservice for sending system and the other is for receiving system...
    For sending system no communication channel required...
    Hope u will get idea from the above..
    Need any further u r welcome..
