EREC: Candidate - Application Withdrawn Email

Currently when a candidate withdraws an application an email is sent to the recruiter to noitfy them. However the email simply says "Application was withdrawn by &CandidateName&. It doesn't include the requisition number. We are trying to add that but when we do, it isn't pulling it in.
Has anyone run across this and know of a solution?

Hi,on EHP4 Erecruiting - Internal candidates receive application acknowledgement email which was not in english . Upon checking IT0002 the language field was "ARABIC". After changing the language to ENGLISH the mail was in English. the question is, is it necessary to maintain the language as ENGLISH in IT0002 to get the correspondence in english. or is there any other setting which will affect the correspondence language.
Client wants the mail correspondence in english but at the sametime the language in IT0002 should not be changed to english.

Hi Yogaraj,
From where you are reading this language, if through workflow then you can able to make it default if it is a standard functionality then you need to follow the same by maintaining in it0002.
Check in debug mode from where the logic is built in then accordingly you can change the same.

Hi,
Try these 3 solutions
1. Did you start vncserver services as:
service vncserver start
2.Check that port 5901 has not been blocked by a firewall:
# nc -vz localhost 5901
You should get a connection and a termination. If you get an error, fix the firewall.
3. service iptables stop

E-Rec - Add text to Notes tab of Int. candidate application wizard

Hello,
I have a requirement to add some more text to the Notes Tab of the Internal candidate application wizard. I have defined the text using SOTR_EDIT.
I find that texts available in the notes tab of the internal applicant start page are logically grouped in the package/ alias PAOC_RCF_UI/TITLE_REG_APPLN_ENTRY_M (From M1 to M10)
Hence i created the additional text as PAOC_RCF_UI/TITLE_REG_APPLN_ENTRY_M11
Iam not sure how to group the text items from M1 to M11 to make the new text i have added to display in the notes tab. Can this requirement be handled in configuration or does it require activation of BADI "BTFR_CONTEXT". If this can be handled only through BADI activation, pls. let me know the steps how to modify the BADI.

My requirement is to add customer text only to the Notes tab of the Employee application wizard.
I was able to make modifications to the standard text in the Notes tab of the Employee application wizard using SOTR_EDIT.
But i suppouse, the Package and Alias is commonly used in Employee as well as external candidate application wizard. This has resulted in the changes reflecting in the External candidate application wizard also.
How do i restrict the changes to reflect only in the Employee application wizard and not in External candidate application wizard.
Can this be handled only by modifying the BSP??? your inputs please.

E-Recruiting -External Candidate application - External Branding - SAP Them

Hi,
In E-Recruiting, External Candidate application launched out side of portal. We need to change the SAP Themes as per customer branding requirements. Is it advisable to change the themes? What is the View of SAP for changing the Themes?
I understand that SAP generates links (eg. u2018Invites to applyu2019 has a URL) in various places in E-Recruiting BSP/WDA Application. We canu2019t modify/enhance methods to append URL parameter in order to call custom there. Am I right?
Please share your experience on this.

EREC - SAP When an external candidate registers - default email

Hello All,
When an external candidate registers on E Recruitment does a default email go to his email id with the user id & password.
Please let me know if any standard workflow is avaiable?

Hi Paul,
this workflow is just triggered, when the candidate registers in Pool without applying. In this case he can define user and password himself.
A user and password in an e-mail is just required if you apply from job search. Till EhP4 you cannot define user and password yourself and an e-mail is needed. For that purpose no workflow is available in standard.

EREC Candidate E-Mail ID Transfer to ECC

Hi Gurus,
We have a requirement of transferring the Candidate E-Mail ID from the EREC server to ECC where in we need to bring it to ST0030 of IT0105. We have a stand alone system & the version is EHP6. The candidate email id should be coming from ADR6 table (SMTP_ADDR) of EREC server & it should be stored in the table T752F of ECC which in turn would be sent to ST0030 of IT0105 dynamically. The flow from EREC to ECC happens through a RFC connection. Please advice how to go about it.

If you are sending an email, the receiver type should be U (internet mail address type). From your code it appears that you have input it as 'A'. I am not sure if the error message is related to this. Have you checked in transaction SOST, whether an email has been triggered from your program? At what point of execution is this error message triggered?

HCM Processes & Forms : Employee start application from email

it is documented (in the diagram) that it is possible for the employee role to start the form application from an email that contains a link to start the form application. May I know how the link can be retrieved and embeded in the content of the email, (presumably sent via workflow to the corporate email) ?

Debugging WDA External Candidate Application - E-Recruitment

Hi I am trying to enhance E-Recruitment External candidate registration and Candidate profile applications which are built in Webdynpro ABAP.
My problem is I am not able to debug these applications using external(http) breakpoint as the breakpoint is set using my ID and the application user by default uses the user RCF_PUBLIC( I think so).
Please help me in finding a way to debug these applications.

Here is how I was able to debug it.
Transaction SICF -> select the WDA application ->activate Debugger(edit->debugging->activate debugger)->change the User to 'RCF_PUBLIC' or watever the user maintained in logon data for that service.
now set your breakpoint and test the application. I was able to successfully debug it.

E-Recruiting: Control Access To Candidate & Application Info

I am currently implementing E-Recruiting EP4 and in my environment, I have 3 legal entities sitting in the same E-Recruiting/HR instance. The challenge I am facing is that the recruiters in each entity are NOTsupposed to see application and candiate information received by the other entities.
How can I control that?

Hi Bill,
the approach you described is completely contrary to the intention of sap e-recruting. The system is desinged for having a global pool so a candidate does not belong to a certain legal entity. This "I won't share my candidates with the others" position of many recruiters is in my humble opinion something that belongs to five year olds but has is nothing for a serious talent acquisition process. The legal issues of data security can be solved by a well defined data security declaration - if it is possible here where we have one of the worlds strongest law in this field it should be possible everywhere..
managing requisitions and the application on them is restricted by the recruiting team. so noone can work on the candidacies / applications if he is not intendet to. but the candidates are available for all recruiters and also the information that someone applied for a certain position can be found. of course you can try to hide functions, change displays but you will end with a system full of modifications horrible to support. So recruiters will always have access to all candidates, the way this is handled is just a question of proper process design.
If there is a requirement that managers shall not see the application history of a candidate to ensure a fair and eeo compatible hiring process you have to design the data overviews that he get's only the information he is meant to see.

If you want to find all application server IPs, you can follow the steps below.
1. Locate the receive connector which you configure for relay.
2. Right-click and choose Properties.
3. Click Network tab, under "Receive mail from remote servers that have these IP addresses", they are application server IPs.
If they are IP range, you can find application server IP address via Internet headers.

Button Manager Application- Crashes Email (Entourage)

These button manager applications keep coming up NO67U_Button Manager and N124U_Button Manager and crashing my email application.
How do I get rid of these? I can't find them on my hard drive. I did find them on so old system files from a previous hard drive (that got moved to my new hard drive when I migrated to a new Mac).
Spotlight and Finder searches come up with nothing. Is there a terminal command I can use to shut them off?

There is (was) a +Button Manager+ that was part of the backup software supplied on Western Digital disk drives.
When doing a Finder search for them, be sure to include +System Files.+
As I recall, there were some similar posts several months ago. There may have been some items in the user's Login Items +(System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items).+
If nothing's found there, try these locations:
/System/Library/LaunchAgents
/System/Library/LaunchDaemons
the same folders in /Library
the same folders in each <home folder>
Once you find any thing(s), note where it was and move it to your desktop, then Restart. When you're sure it's not needed, delete it.
