Erec - inserting a website link in a letter written in SMARTFORMS

Good afternoon folks
We are using erecruitment and our correspondence is written using transaction SMARTFORMS.
In one of the letters it is required that we include an interactive website link in the letter eg: when click on the link it takes you to the website eg: "You can view the range of tests on www.youtube.com/videos...." and when that link is clicked it takes the user to the relevant web page.
How can I do this as just typing it in only gives me text not an interactive link.

Have sorted this out myself - I highlighted the words and then clicked on the "Insert URL" icon.

How to add a website link into a final cut video

Does anyone know how to add a website link that someone can click on that I can add to a video I might be creating in Final Cut Express? I am looking for an easy way to do this and I cannot find one. Thanks.

I believe Media100 is the only application that can do this. Or at least it used to, don't know if it still does. There is a company called VideoClix that can create hot spots on QuickTime files. The technology is in QuickTime, who'd just have to learn how to do it.

How to insert an HTML link into a page

Hello,
We have a list of documents in a external document management system. We would like to present the list of documents to the user for retrieval from within any SRM HTML page.
I was thinking of two different approaches:
1) I would like to be able to insert an HTML link to a URL of documents for display to the end user.
2) Alternatively, we might want to inject some javascript into the screen to handle the presentation of the links.
We would like this functionality to work on any of the screens within SRM as global functionality.
Any suggestions on how to customize SRM to handle this functionality request?

Hi,
My project has a requirement to show URL in Bid Invitation screen. In turn, when user clicks that hyperlink, it will pop-up a web dynpro screen.
Maybe this is the same with your need.
In case this is the same, the trick is to define an additional field in bid invitation custom header with customized data element and customized domain.
Then, defined conversion exit for the domain with javascript line such as "<html> bla bla </html>" to pop-up the web dynpro screen in modal dialog.
The result will be as what I have above.

Insert data into linked table

Problem when you try to insert data into linked table.
I made the view with all linked table columns (field1 is PK, field2, field3......) plus new primary key field "field1_PK" for tabular form wizard primary key field definition. After submit data on tabular form appears:
"Error in mru internal routine:ORA-2001:Error in MRU: row=1,ORA-00957: duplicate column name ORA-02063:preciding line from "SHEMA_NAME", insert into "field1","field1_PK","field3",........) values (:b1,:b2,:b3.........)
Error Unable to process update.

Have you tried to do your updates using an INSTEAD OF TRIGGER on your view? An INSTEAD OF TRIGGER allows you to update a non-updateable view.

how may I insert an email link in an adobe rome document ? the "mailto:..." command doesn't work...

No, there's no special feature for mailing options.
A few questions :
- When you say it doesn't work, you mean that, when you click on the link, your default email client doesn't automatically start ? It should.
- Do you write "mailto: ..." with quoting marks ? Quoting marks are useless.
- The problem obviously appears when linking a part of the text (the Link option is available only with parts of text). Have you ever tried with a whole text area ? Through Event menu.
- Which Rome do you use ? Online or local version ?
- The problem appears in the preview, the output file or both ?
Try to upload your site and then check your mailing button. Someone already posted about some URL rewriting by Rome within preview and local files, and the problem has been resolved with site online publishing.

Website links in any App do not work. What is the solution?

Basically, unless a registered version of Adobe Acrobat is used the links will not work in all browsers - only those whose PDF plugin is programmed to recognize the format of a URL and create the link on-the-fly.
Okay, Mozilla.. you're next challenge, should you decide to accept it, is to make the PDF plugin for FF work that way.

Ibooks - download website link not working

Hello guys,
I create a nice book for my company with all the rules we have. We want all our staff with ipads can download it from our website.
So I create a link on our website that links to a ibooks file (.ibooks)
If I send the file to an email, a person can clik the file and download it to the iPad. However, the simple link to file, I created, does not work.
www.mycompany.com/bookname.ibooks
When I open safari and click in download button, gives me an error.
Any thoughts about this?
I had check some topics with the same kind of problem here in this website but didn't really solve mine.
Also for your references:
1- I don't want to use dropbox
2- i don't want to send the book through email to our staff
3- JUST want the staff go to our webiste and click on download button so thjey can download directly in their iPads.

I am trying to insert a Youtube link into a CC Indesign document, using the embedded Youtube code (e.g. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/a8tngtNgXl4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>). A few months ago, I followed Bob Bringhurst's steps in his iPad DPS tips app. And was able to embed the link to a YouTube video in an ID DPS.
But now I can't even paste the code from YouTube onto the ID page. I get an error message that the video requires the Flash Player.

Verify or Repair Disk Permissions
Then Restart your Mac.

Don't have Word available to test, but it seems to depend on the program.
In Pages and TextEdit, if you drag the favicon from the addrss box in your browser into the document, it will be pasted in already formatted as a clickable link expressed in plain text. The favicon (I think that's the name for that element) is this item -
However, in AppleWorks 6.2.9, all that did was drop the raw URL into the document; and it is non-clickable, just text. In AW 6 you need to type the plain-text name for the link (how you want the underlined bit to appear), select that, then go to the Format menu and select Create Link, from it choosing Internet. In the new screen, the linkname will already be entered in the upper box; paste the URL into the lower box, and it's done.

Thomas' answer is the preferred technique. Sometimes, these pop-ups will block you from quitting Safari. In that case, press option+command+esc, select Safari, and Force Quit. Then, use the shift key with Safari when relaunching it, per Thomas' suggestion.
