EREC - Recruiter profile no change on external candidates

Hi,
Our recruiter shall not be able to change data on external candidates, but a recruiter shall be able to create internal and external candidates via his recruiter profile. When we changedthe  recruiters profile in backend, he lost the ability to create internal and external candidates.
Does anyone have experience in what settings must be made and where?

- click on portal content
- sap content > specialist>recruiter-->iViews -->  select the iview "external candidate management" or any other iview . .
- right click "preview"
- right click within the service --> change config
select the element you want to change / disable  . . . an put everything into a transport

  • EREC: Differences between Delete Registration & Delete External Candidate

    Hello Experts,
I am new to E-Recruitment. Can you please suggest me what are the exact differences between Delete Registration & Delete External Candidate as the first one locks his profile & the second one deletes his profile except that I don't see much difference between them. Please explain in which cases each of the tabs will be used & the relevance of them.
    Thanks in Advance..
    Vamsi

The main difference relates to how the data is handled in backend and whether all E-Recruiting objects are deleted immediately or mdeleted at a later time through the RCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICES process whereas for example the report RCF_DELETE_EXT_CAND checks the candidacies assigned to that candidate and for each of these objects which retention date is set to the requisition mapped.
The periodical serivce DELETE_DEREGISTERED_CANDIDATES can only delete deregistered candidates with no assignments. The deletion of assignments such as applications should be done within the deregistration workflow. There are some steps and methods available to withdraw and delete such relationships and unless there are open assignments the report would ignore the candidate.
One more thing to be aware of is that normally there is a delay maintained when a candidate is deregistered. So please check your settings in T77RCF_PS_RULES if the candidates you see have been deregistered within this time.In standard the delay is 180 days in which candidates are then deregistered. So if you deregister today, the system will deregister and delete all the candidate data only 180 days after today.
Hope it would help you further

  • EREC:Authorization issue in Registration of External Candidate

    Dear All
We are on EhP 5 and NW 7.3 system with SAP Erec 605 addon. We have a single instance architecture.Need help with user assignment to various WDA ERec services.
Also whenever i click on register now link in External Candidate Start page ,it asks for SAP backend authorization. In my view this should not happen.
    Please assist.
    Regards

    Hi Shankar,
Even i'd gone thru tough time to complete the eRec config successfully...!
You only need the reference user as logon data, as this is for the external service and there won't be any login expected by the External Candidate to the SAP system. When you assign the reference/service users to ICF services.. it means you are saying to SAP system that .. when ever this service is called use the authentication provided in the logon data and the rest is taken care by SAP!
This is one URL from eREC which will be exposed to internet (via a reverse proxy) and shouldn't be asking for SAP authentication.
You can use all the standard roles for eRec config, until unless you really have a custom scenario.
    Thanks,

  • E Recruitment External candidate user id in SU01

    Dear All,
while creating user name for  external candidate through HRRCF_CAND_REG, a user name is getting created with some different sequence and we can see it in SU01. will SAP treats it as a new user when it comes to user licences or will SAP ignore this user. please let us know if we are missing on something.
    Regards

    Dear ,
Following information about E-Recruiting user licenses:
For Reference User,Service user & Communication user you may please refer to the chapter 13.7 of the System Measurement guide 7.0 available in the service market place (service.sap.com/licenseauditing   >Named
user Measurement     > Documentaion) Please also refer to the SAP Notes
    327917 & 553606)
Regarding Dialog Users, You need to customize some special user types to identify these users like the following:
    Special user 01 (ID 71): e-Recruiting, External
    Special user 02 (ID 72): e-Recruiting, Internal
a.For the External Candidates who log on to SAP System Via URL- Should be classified with Special user 01(71)= e-recruiting External
b.Internal Candidates who are employees (and not already have a chargeable user in another SAP System)Should be classified with Special user 02 (72) = e-Recruiting,Internal
So the external users (ID71) are not counted against your e-recruiting
    user licenses!
    This is 100% assurance..

  • ERec: External Candidate as a Recruiter??

    Hi All,
In EHP4, can we map the External Candidate as a Recruiter, bcoz our client is hiring few candiates on contract basis and want them to do the 'Recruiter' role from frontend.
But as per our Standard functionality, HR Objects can be created successfully for internal candidates only.
We created the CP in HCM system, but that CP is not transfering to E-rec system. HR Objects itself not at all transferd to E-rec system for external candidate.
Any one can share their valauble sugessions on this scenario.
    Thanks,
    Asha...

    Hello Asha,
handling of contract workers differs from company to company.
If the contract workers are in the HR core system as active employees they will be transfered to the e-recruiting system using the standand functionality to create internal candidates for them.
If the contract workers are in the HR system but not in active status, you could use the ALE outbound BAdI to rewrite their status for the IDoc (infotype 0000, field STAT2). This way the e-recruiting system would also use the standard functionality to create internal candidates.
If the contract workers are not in the HR core system at all, I would use the e-recruiting administrator function or the report RCF_CREATE_USER to create internal candidates for them directly on the e-recruiting system. Use a number range for their employee Ids which is blocked in HR core so there won't be any issues with future employees transferred.
    Kind Regards

  • Debugging WDA External Candidate Application - E-Recruitment

Hi I am trying to enhance E-Recruitment External candidate registration and Candidate profile applications which are built in Webdynpro ABAP.
My problem is I am not able to debug these applications using external(http) breakpoint as the breakpoint is set using my ID and the application user by default uses the user RCF_PUBLIC( I think so).
Please help me in finding a way to debug these applications.
    @Moderators
I'm not sure where to post this message, in Webdynpro abap seciton or HCM. when I searched I saw a couple of similar questions in this section, hence posted here.
    Thanks,

    Guys,
Thanks for all the replies, they were all helpful.
Here is how I was able to debug it.
Transaction SICF -> select the WDA application ->activate Debugger(edit->debugging->activate debugger)->change the User to 'RCF_PUBLIC' or watever the user maintained in logon data for that service.
now set your breakpoint and test the application. I was able to successfully debug it.

  • EREC- External Candidate Registeration Scenario Confussion

    Hi Experts,
I have a query with regards to those candidates who have not registered in the system. i.e. these candidates doesnt have any user name and password. But their profile exists in the system because agancies or recruiter have entered their profile using "create external candidate".
Now my query is, if suppose these candidates tries to apply for a new posting, the system would ask for username and password. Also these candidates won't be able to register themself because their profile is already present in the system. So how would there candidates apply for a new job posting in future? have i missed out on any serv
    Regards,
    Kishore

    Hi,
the other answers are not completely right.
If a candidate registers within the system without applying, a confirmation of registration is sent.
If a recruiter types in a paper application into the system this correspondence is not created within standard workflows, because the workflow exits if the candidate has an application.
    Now you have three possibilities:
    1. Include user name and password into your confirmation of application you send after typing the candidate in.
    2. Create a second workflow yourself, which sends out the password after entering a paper application.
    3. Change the texts within the candidate front-end and ask the candidates to request a new password via the password forgotten functionality.

  • How to differentiate an internal from an external candidate in E-recruiting

    Hi experts,
I need your help. I'm creating a Z report to show the % of internal and external candidates who were hired or choosen in a selection process. I will have two columns the first one will show the internal candidates and the second one the external candidates. I'll also display the reasons why a candidate were reproved on the selection, for this reason I also have to separate internal from external candidates.
I've seem some threads where you say that the best way is to find the relation NA<CP<P. Is this the only way or there is any other way as a module function where I put NA and it show me if it's an internal or external candidate.
    I'll really appreciate any help!
    Best regards,
    Thais

    Hello Thais,
reportig in SAP E-Recruiting is quite difficult due to the missing historization in some infotypes. A lot of changes are not historized so it is not possible to get any other valid information than the current status. Looking back into the past is in the best case unsure in the worst impossible. External candidates become internal candidates on hiring and internal candidates become external candidates on termination, maternity leave, ....
It is very difficult to get the percentage of external und internal hirings based on e-recruiting data. It is much easier to get this from the HR core as (at least in a perfect world) you just count hiring actions and org. change actions. Of course not every org. change is usually an "internal hiring" in e-recruiting.
If you want to get these numbers purely from e-recruiting data, the best approach from my experience is getting the candidacies in hired status -> get the application for the candidacy -> get the publication for the application -> get the publication channel candidate type. This information is not changing over the time and not depending on the candidate. Restrictions of this approach are usually direct assignments from talent pool, if internal and external candidates can release their profile. If you do not request an application for the candidacy you can not determine the candidate type. Furthermore in many organizations the e-recruiting process ends with hiring the cadidate. Noone maintains rejections for the no shows so you get too many hirings from the e-recruting data. But perhaps this approach works in your scenario.
    Kind Regards
PS: The method mentioned above works fine to find out if a candidate is currently an internal or external candidate. Unfortunately these methods are often to slow for mass use in reporting. So from a performance point of view reading HRP1001 relations and HRP5102 INACTIVE flag is the better solution.

  • E-Recruiting - External Candidate generating users in R/3

We are generating some tests on External Candidate (E-Recruiting) and we
have discovered that the external candidate generates an R/3 user (that can
be seen in the transaction SU01). This External Candidate should refer to
    the RCF_CAND_EXT user in R/3.
This is generating massive users creation in R/3. This situation is not
    allowed by Data Security.

    Hello Pablo,
every action in sap needs a user who processes it. E-recruiting and its functions can't be an exception here. The unregistered ICF services like registration and unregistered job search which can be accessed by the external candidate without logging into the system are using a service user assigned to the ICF service or its external alias. All other functions need the user of the candidate which is created on registration.
Usually the candidate creation should be done by the service user. The external candidate only changes the user e.g. when changing his last name or his password. In the manual data entry scenario users are created by the recruiter who enters the application.
The login to the system is necessary to enable the candidate to relog to the system, maintain his profile data, continue an interupted application, use services like the job agent and check the status of applications. Without user and login there would be no possibility to link the person and the data in the system. No user and login for the external candidte would mean that all these functions would not be possible. You would need to convert the whole application to some sort of fire and forget web application form. I have no idea if this is technical possible or if the system would complain about the inconsistant data.
So creating users for external candidates is a must for sap e-recruiting when running w/o a total conversion. The reference user RCF_CAND_EXT is just a way to assign authorizations to the candidates user and needed due to some authorization cache issues. I have never seen this to be an issue if you use propper authorization roles instead of the sap standard ones. Even in projects with a maximum of security requirements e.g. in the defense industry. Furthermore you should schedule report RCF_UPDATE_EXT_CANDIDATES to switch the user type for external candidate to prevent a logon to the backend.

  • E-recruitment - External Candidate page should not be  allowed to enter int

    Hello,
We have requirement in e-recruitment. When recruiter is entering Internal Candidate information using External Candidate site, system should check email adress (company email address), if this is matched and system should prompt with the candidate information that we already have. Do we need change the standard SAP code to implement this? or any other ways?

  • E-recruiting status of a external candidate data

    Hi experts,
I have a question about status of an external candidate data. Here I have a situation where the customer I'm working for asked that whenever a external candidate create data (a CV) via e-recruiting, the information should be available to recruiters and only be blocked if the candidate perform a step to block data. Today the standard does the opposite, when an external candidate creates data, this data remais blocked until the candidate unblocks it via a step in E-recruiting.
Is there any possible way to change that via customize or I'll have to create an enhancement?
Thanks in advance for your time!

  • E-Recruiting -External Candidate application - External Branding - SAP Them

    Hi,
In E-Recruiting, External Candidate application launched out side of portal. We need to change the SAP Themes as per customer branding requirements. Is it advisable to change the themes? What is the View of SAP for changing the Themes?
I understand that SAP generates links (eg. u2018Invites to applyu2019 has a URL) in various places in E-Recruiting BSP/WDA Application. We canu2019t modify/enhance methods to append URL parameter in order to call custom there. Am I right?

  • E-Recruiting - how to implement questionnaires in candidate profile?

    Hello experts,
has anyone experience in how to implement questionnaires into the container sequences of the candidate profile (for internal as well as external candidates)?
I think, I know all the necessary tables (T77RCF_CS_ID, -_SEQ and -_ITEM), have also studied the IMG, but simply don´t get it.
    Thanks in advance.
    Greetings,
    Florian

    Hello,
as I said you can just solve it out of the front end within the registration workflow, or the candidate status change workflow.
So it is just possible to do this via a correspondence activity and not via the standard front end.
From the correspondence you can jump back to a front end application. But it is not possible to integrate it into a startpage.
If the candidate filled out a questionnaire (trm activity), then  you can search on those questionnaires and its answers via the talent pool search. Prerequisite is, that the questionnaire is assigned to a trm activity (Assigned to NA).
There is no possibility handling pool candidates as applications. You will always have problems looking at each pool candidate. The talent pool is just meant to be a pool of candidates you can search on.

  • External Candidate -- E-Recruiting EhP4

I have a situation -- the external candidate completes the registration and when she clicks on the Register button, nothing happens -- it does not take you to the candidate profile screen.
I checked in the backend and the data is created, BP, et al.
With the same set of data, if you click on the Register button again, an error is displayed, "the same e-mails address exists".
Would you know what might be the cause?
The customer is in QA. We are not able to set up the debugged in the QA

    Hi,
in addition to the post above. If you use a frontend and a backend server for e-recruiting not only check that the unregistered candidate / service user has the authorization to assign the role of the external candidate to the newly created candidate (often a problem if you copy the standard roles to z-roles and forget to replace the standard assignment authorization to the new z role). Also check that the unregistered candidate role on the backend includes the RFC authorization for function group SUSR as this is missing in some release stacks.
You also should remember that the unregistered candidate has to have the user type "Service" and must not have a candidate created using rcf_create_user otherwise the session switch from the unregistered to the newly created user will not work properly.
If you still have trouble take a deeper look into authorization. You can use SU53 (and switch to the unregistered user) to see the last missing authorization or better run an authorization trace using ST01 for the user.

  • E-Recruiting: What Happens To External Candidate Logon After It Is Hired

    Hi Experts,
I do not have a E-Recruiting system and needed to check something. So would appreciate if you could help.
Scenario: An external candidate first registers for a logon and submits an application. Subsequently, he is being hired and becomes an internal candidate.  If the candidate now attempts to logon using his external candidate creditials via the external publication website, how does the system react?  Will it still allow him to logon?
And if one day the candidate resigns from the company and became an external candidate again, will the logon becomes valid again?
    Thanks in advance.
    Bill

    hi,
Once candidate is hired , in standard system he sitll can log on and make the changes with same user id and pass.
But we can restirct candidate after hiring , with the same user id he can not logon in the system and make changes.
It can be done in BSP page setting.
