EREC: Sending mail with Job Posting PDF as an attachment

Hello Experts,
I have a scenario wherein we are required to notify the external agencies about the job postings created by sending an email to them and attaching the PDF of Job Posting in that email.
I want to know if there is any Standard Function Module that i can use to achieve this " i mean adding the PDF of Job Posting " as an attachment to the email.

Investigate if FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 helps (note 1430123 gives more detail)
There is also the parameter PINST_DISPLAY_PDF in table V77RCF_MDL_PRMC and the note 622718 which gives more info plus your customizing for RECFA DATAO.

Hi there!
I would lke to write a little program, which is able to send a xls-file AND a pdf-file within one mail.
xls alone is already working fine, I'm using the method add_attachment of the class cl_document_bcs. But now I also want to add a pdf-File to this mail. The pdf file is on the local disk, so I'm uploading it via 'GUI_UPLOAD'. But now I have a problem because I don't know how I am able to add this to the mail.
I hope you can help me!!

Sending mail with attachment fails on MAC Mail and WRP400.

Sending mail with attachment fails on MAC Mail and WRP400.
We have hundreds of WRP400 connected with Mac (Machintosh) computers. No special configurations are applied (no virtual server or DMZ). Web navigation, P2P programs and sending mail without attachment work right.
The problem is the impossibility to send mails with medium or big size files attachment from MAC Mail.
If we use Windows PCs or a different linksys routers (eg. WRT54G) the problem not happens.
We have upgraded WRP400 firmware version from 1.00.06 to 2.00.05 but the result is the same. Sending mail with attachment using Mac fails.
We tried to configure WRP400 with DMZ to a particular MAC. We tried to configure Virtual server on tcp 25 port of a MAC. The result is always the same.
This is a WRP400 bug? Windows PCs work right. MAC and MAC mail works right with other linksys router.
We need help. Thanks.

The problem was fixed since beta firmware 2.00.11.
I think that this issue was caused from a bug that decrease upload bitrate of WRP400 after some days of activity.

Workflow Step 'In Process'- Send mail with PDF attachment

Hi,
have to send mail with PDF attachment.
I have written a function module with following steps,
1. Convert SPOOL number to PDF using Function Module 'CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF'.
2. Send mail with PDF attachment using Function Module 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1'.
The Function Module is giving required output when tested and called in the report(Background Job).
When I call this Function Module from Method-> Workflow Task the Workflow steps status is 'In Process' and not ending.
Could you please help me on this??

When you try to send mail, You need to call the function FP_JOB_OPEN before calling the function module to generate the pdf. ( /1B****) . Is it missing in your code?

Convert Screen(spool) to PDF file sending mail with attach file

I'd like convert spool list to pdf and sending file...
so, I read thread about spool convert to PDF before,
and know how to convert Spool to PDF file and send mail with attach file.
but I have a problem.
my solution as:
step 1. Call function: "CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF"
step 2. Call function: "SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1"
then, I got a mail with attached PDF file, but the PDF file display limited 255 line.( SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 limited)
I want to showing word is wider that 255.
and then I find a manual method as:
After program finished.
Function Menu -> system -> List -> Send
use Prog: "Create Document and Send"
I use this prog sending mail and attached file ,
PDF file do <b>NOT</b> have 255 word limit !
finally. my question is, If I want sending mail as Prog: "Create Document and Send", how to do?
which Function I have to use?...

Take a look at the documentation of FM 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1' for parameter PACKING_LIST. I think you should set t_packing_list-head_num to a different value than 0 for the second attachment.

I have a problem that i dont know how to resolve: I need to send an email to some adresses with an attachment ( an excel file stored on the server's drive) How can it be done?
The email has to be sent by a job that should do this operation each day.

How to send mail with multiple attachment. The documents are in a table column BLOB. Read and attach in to mail directly.
We dont want save the documents into hard disk and attach to mail. Please Help

And also the Utl_mail is very slow. Its using RAW type.
I can use the javamail package to solve this problem, this javamail package needs to download into server from there you can attach thus documents into mail. But I want fetch the documents and ate the same time I want attach to a mail. Like yahoo attach or msn attachment.

Sending mail with multiple attachments

hi.I wrote a code to send mail.but i need to send mail with multiple attachments.here is the code i wrote.what should i do to send the mail with multiple attachments.if i run this code iam able to send mails but not attachments.please help me

Create a separate MimeBodyPart object for each attachment, rather than reusing
the same one over and over.

Sending Mail with an Attachment

Hi
I'm trying to send mail with a PDF attached. I've been set up on exchange server 2007... Sending mail without an attachment works fine.
Was wondering if anyone knows if this is a known issue or if I'm simply doing something wrong. The attachment has sent fine using Outlook web access... So it's not a problem with our connection.

Ditto to the comments on configuring EWS to deal with larger attachments. The instructions to do this are, unfortunately, very confusing as some configuration items are in MB and some are in KB and some are in bytes!
I worked with our sys admins to get this running, I knew things were better when I could send large attachments with Entourage Web Services Edition. I am still having occasional problems with large attachments not being sendable with Mail.app. I am hoping that 10.6.1 might tweak something to fix this?

While you are at it, you may want to have them check attachment limits for Outlook Web Access (OWA) if you find yourself using that and get bitten by the same 5 MB limit issue. Note that OWA and EWS have separate settings and are changed in different ways!

Convert Script output data to Text(.txt) file & send mail with attachment.

Hi All,
Requirement: I shulb be able to conver th Script output data to Text(.text) file & send a maill with attachment with this text file. Formant of text file should be like output of Print priview.
Plese sugget with Function modules to cover as Text file.
I am able to converting the Script output data to PDF and sending mail with attachment. So I don't want PDF file now.

We can convert the Scirpt output to PDF file by using OTF function module and the PDF file looks like Print Privew output.
Same like this I want Script out in NOTEPAD (.txt). Is that possible, Plz sugget with relavent Function Modules.

I can't send mail with iCloud

I cannot send mail with my ipod touch using my icloud account

I'm just posting this as I did for all these threads for the same issue:
Ok I think this problem here is Apple... It's a DNS problem. You get this problem depending on what smtp server you are registered on.
I always get the message that "p06-smtp.mail.me.com" failed...
But according to the nslookup command there are only the servers "p01, p02, p03, p04"... no p05 and p06 or p07 and p08 ...
What I did to get it to work (only considered as workaround):
first I tried to add a second SMTP server with the address "smtp.mail.me.com", it seemed that the mail went through... but never arrived... then I configured "p01-smtp.mail.me.com" as second server and it worked!!
What is the problem with this workaround?
When you change the password! As it doesn't accept the Apple Token you must configure your Apple ID credentials manually... however when you change them, you have also to change the manually configured second SMTP server!

Sending mail with SMTP sends it twice

I'm sending a text mail, and with my ISP's smtp server it works fine. With my employer's SMTP server, I get each mail that is sent twice. I'm not sure why but I know it's not a problem with the code because I've compared the code to the examples and also because it works fine with my ISP's SMTP server. If I use Outlook to send mail with my work SMTP server I get the emails only once. I saw on jGuru someone posted the same question with no response. Any ideas???

I have same problem. I am sending single mail but some time I got 2 mails.and aslo according to sendmail logs the mails are in fact sent twice.I would like to add one more point that this is on HP-UX. So if you have solution share it with us. Thanks in advance.
