Erec without candidate registration

Hi experts,
We are right now considering if we should drop candidate registration and the candidate cockpit, as our experience is, that its not being used. So we are hoping that by dropping it we will improve the user experience and not require passwords and storing people’s passwords in the future. I haven't found any posts in regards to this. I am wondering what would happen if I disable the service HRRCF_A_CANDIDATE_REGISTRATION and delete the letter that is being send out. Plus I am not sure if the system logic would prevent applying to more than one job as the email address would then be used.

We are considering to enable users to reuse information from Facebook or LinkedIn. In any case we are using an absolute minimum of information from the candidate, so in any case we would probably ask them to fill their data every time - if possible.
But if I read your answer correctly, that is not possible?

External Candidate Registration does not create the user id

Hi Everyone
I am implementing EREC on Enhancement Pack 4 and I am trying to get External Candidate Registration to work. When I try to register nothing happens. User Id's are not created and I am not taken to the Candidate Profile screen. I have activated in SICF the hrrcf_a_candidate_registration service and assigned RCF_UNREG as a service user to it. I used OSS note 1017866 but it says:
Execute the IMG activities under "'SAP E-Recruiting' -> 'Technical
Settings' -> 'User Interfaces' -> 'Settings for User Interfaces with WebDynpro ABAP'". Note that you must execute the IMG activity for both the front end and the back end.
EP4 does not have this IMG path anymore.. So do I just setup both front end and back end? Can anyone help.

ERecruitment external candidate registration pages goes Blank after SPS7

HI All ,
We have recently upgraded our system from NW 701 SPS3 to SPS7 .
Information :
Our eRecruitment setup is , External candidates will login through a
different server and we have eRecruiting integrated with the ERP but with
the frontend for the External Candidate on a different
server.
We have checked the SICF nodes (active)and Trex working fine , however when a
candidate registration page or job search is opened the page remains
blank .
The logs in SM21 are as below when we tried to reproduce the same .
RCF_UNREGSER R2 G HTTP/RFC session has been deleted following timeout
Can you please guide us on this .

Disable duplicate email check for external candidate registration

Hi,
I am working with eRecruitment 6.0 and I would like to disable the duplicate email check on the external candidate registration page. Has anyone done this before? I have chased the code down to where it check for correct email syntax but I can't find where it does the duplicate email check. I debugged to where I was starting to see BP type function modules and bapis but I still can't find the check. I just want to turn it off for testing then turn it back on and test more. I have searched OSS and SDN and still no answers. I thought about using an enhancement point to 'ignore' the message but by the point the system has already decided not to create the user so ignoring the message is a mute point.
Anyone been down this road and can point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated.

Hola,
Ok a small 'enhancement' to CL_HRRCF_ADDRESS_SERVICE->IS_EMAIL_UNIQUE has done the trick. Not exactly a best practice but will get me through this testing. NO this will not be going to production. This is strictly a test.

SAP E-recruiting EHP4 external candidate registration web dynpro ABAP

Hi all,
I am trying to activate the url of the web dynpro external candidate registration. we have setup the hrrcf_a_ext_cand(may be i misspelt the name) and it is fine.
Now when a user tries to register using the "REGISTER" button the application asks for another login(this is not a popup window), although anonymous user is setup for the REGISTRATION web dynpro application.
Any ideas..

EREC- External Candidate login problem

Hi Experts,
In E-recruit, external candidates enters the desired user name and password (at the time of registration). This is then used to login to the system. But in my case, external candidate is not able to login using this user name and password.
This user name is the alias and an user name is automatically creates in su01.
He is able to login using this auto generated user name. Why is this so?...external candidates are supposed to login using the alias.

I am trying to access the link generated for "Call External Start Page" by running "RCF_GENERATE_URLS" in se38.
I have created a service user "RCF_CAND_EXT" and attached it to service "hrrcf_cand_reg" only.
RCF_CAND_EXT is having the following roles:
SAP_RCF_DATA_TYPIST
SAP_RCF_DATA_TYPIST_ERC_CI_2
SAP_RCF_EXT_CANDIDATE_SERVER
SAP_RCF_EXTERNAL_CANDIDATE
SAP_RCF_UNREGISTERED_CANDIDATE.
I have given Data typist role cos it was giving me error at the time of candidate registration: "that no role for creating user"
I am trying to access the service through Intranet and NOT Internet. Can this be the issue?

External Candidate Registration - ERecruitment

Hi Team,
We have an issue in External Candidate registration process. After, the external candidate registration got completed, the user id to be created in the backend is not happening.
Thus, the candidate is not able to login with the user id he has provided while registration.
But the details are available in the Talent Pool regarding the candidate.
Please through some light on how system actually creates an User in the backend when an external candidate registers.

I am also having an issue in case of external candidate registration and application.
We are also implementing E-Rec as standalone server. We have not yet integrated with 3rd party system. But our client wants integration with their company careers site. Before that I was trying to test the WD services through SICF.
As you mentioned above, I have done with the Service User creation and assigned the role for unregistered candidate also. Still i am facing the below error.
When i try testing the Candidate registration page I am getting the following error i am getting an Internal error in function module HRRCF_MDL_AWZD_IS_APPL_GROUP
When I tried testing the Application wizard, the system is throwing the following errors:
* Internal error in function module HRRCF_MDL_AWZD_IS_APPL_GROUP
* Internal error in function module HRRCF_MDL_AWZD_POSTHEADER_GET
* HRRCF_MDL_AWZD_POSTHEADER_GET does not exist
The publication period is over. You can no longer apply.
Can you please look into this and help me on this.

while testing the candidate registration servce (txn sicf) - after entering the details to register as an external candidate, upon saving i get what seems to be an error message - a red dot with an exclamiation mark and the numbers - " I:00:279 "
Has anyone come across this before while testing a servce in e-recruiting?

EREC external user registration - WD ABAP on IPAD - drop down not working on IPADA / TABLETS

Hi Experts
We are on NW 7.0 and EHP2 for E-recruitment system. We have a candidate registration WD ABAP application.
Application sccessfully opens on IPAD but drop down not working even we can not select any value from the drop down.
Pleas can you suggest some fix for this.
If we can acheieve this functionality fo IPADS and TABLETS.
Much appreciated inputs in this direction.

External Candidate REgistration

Hello Experts,
I have a query.
I would like add one custom field in the external candidate registration page.
In the external candidate registration page, first name, middle name, last name and email address are provided by SAP. These are all SAP standards.
I want to customize this pager by adding DOB fields.
Please guide me how to add the custom field DOB, in the external candidate registration page

Hi Dhinesh,
You'll need to enhance the componentcontroller and view VW_REGISTER of component HRRCF_C_REGISTER_UI.
Add a custom context element to the componentcontroller, map it to the context of the view and add it to the view. Then, create a post-enhancement on the REGISTER_CANDIDATE method to set the DOB after the candidate has been registered. This should have the least amount of impact on the standard coding.

EREC- Candidate Registration Page

Hi Experts,
Is it possible to have different registration page for different region? my requirement is that for APAC i want the registration page to have fields like "date of birth" and "passport no." in the fields, whereas in US and Europe, i dont want to ask such personal data. How can i have different registration page for different region. Is there a standard functionality or do i have to create custom registration pages?

Hi,
the easiest way is to create different web dynpro configurations.
By configuration you hide these fields in the application wizard or registration page.
The registration page (link) then needs to differ on the local homepages, if you hide fields there.
The application wizard configuration can be distinguished by a BADI provided in the IMG (SPRO).
You just need to check the country of the branch assigned to the requisition. If US then call the US configuration, otherwise the global ones.
Additionally I would recommend you to insert the custom fields into the application wizard not the registration page.

EREC- External Candidate Registeration Scenario Confussion

Hi Experts,
I have a query with regards to those candidates who have not registered in the system. i.e. these candidates doesnt have any user name and password. But their profile exists in the system because agancies or recruiter have entered their profile using "create external candidate".
Now my query is, if suppose these candidates tries to apply for a new posting, the system would ask for username and password. Also these candidates won't be able to register themself because their profile is already present in the system. So how would there candidates apply for a new job posting in future? have i missed out on any serv

Hi,
the other answers are not completely right.
If a candidate registers within the system without applying, a confirmation of registration is sent.
If a recruiter types in a paper application into the system this correspondence is not created within standard workflows, because the workflow exits if the candidate has an application.
Now you have three possibilities:
1. Include user name and password into your confirmation of application you send after typing the candidate in.
2. Create a second workflow yourself, which sends out the password after entering a paper application.
3. Change the texts within the candidate front-end and ask the candidates to request a new password via the password forgotten functionality.

Candidate registration issues with e-Recruitment

Hello,
We are trying to prototype e-Recrutiment for a simple business process.
We have ECC 6.0 with EHP4, SP level SAPK-60403INERECRUIT
We are trying to go with a single server model for the prototype.
I am getting confusing/incosistent behaviour -
I access transaction SICF.
Then I filter the services by hrrcf*.
I close the bsp folder since I am only interested in the Webdynpro.
then I click "test service" on any of the following -
hrrcf_a_candidate_profile_ext
hrrcf_a_reg_applwizard_ext
Sometimes, I get a blank page. Some times, I get a message "unfortunately the system is not available at this time".
Sometimes, I see the login screen with a button "Register Here".
Sometimes, I directly get a User profile screen on "Personal Data" tab, but none of the dropdowns are available (not even for country) and it doesnt go any further from there.
I try to click "Register Here" - then I enter all the registration information and click "Register" - nothing happens.
I am a little confused.
Please provide any clues you may have to help us move forward.

seems this is still a topic of interest. So I'd like to share some information.
First of all, if you like to work with SAP E-Recruiting 600 EhP4 upgrade to the newest SP level which is currently SP5. No matter if it is only a test / sandbox system, due to some "software quality" issues please use the newest patch / support stack. If not you will invest the time needed for patching many times when testing and evaluating e-recruiting and still not get to a valid result. With SP4 sap brought several important functions missing in the original web dynpro ui for recruiter which existed in the prior BSP solution (see business function HCM_ERC_CI_3) and SP 5 has some quite importat correctios for the application. You will save you a lot of trouble that way.
About ICF services and testing them. For running e-recruiitng with web dynpro ui you mainly need ICF services from the web dynpro folder and a folder named erecruiting but there are still bsps used. These BSPs are called hrrcf_wd*. You will find details on this in the IMG under the ui settings for candidate and recruiter. The documentation for the nodes to define e-recruiting services describe which services to activate and which need service users assigned.
Testing servies from SICF or SE80 is not a good idea for e-recruiting. Most of the services are either called from other services which pass information or need information from URL parameters. For an example you cannot test any wd application of the application wizard as they need the publication which the candidate applies to passed in the url. In many cases the system will give you the "An internal error occured, Please try again later." error as a result. A general hint, if you get this message anywhere in e-recruitng check SLG1 for information on the reason for the error.
