Erecruitment - Employment Opportunities - how they are displayed

Good morning
Under "Employment Opportunities" we have a "Current Vacancies" tab. The jobs advertised are listed and it will say something like "Row 1 of 24", "Row 2 of 24 " etc. How can we change this so that we get 1 long listing displayed, without "Row 1 of 24" ie: just have 1 long listing and use a scroll bar to go down.

I have a lot of various book mark folders with websites contained within each folder. Bookmark folders that you created are in the Bookmarks Menu folder. "Sort" that folder.

Sorry, missed that fact. My memory is good, but short.
Try moving the "Calendar Cache" file to your Desktop. Quit iCal, and find the "Calendar Cache" file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Calendars. Move that file to your Desktop. After that, (I remember that I recommended this before), as long as you are moving files to the Desktop, repeat the plist removal procedure once again, log out/in or restart.
You should also consider removing the "To Do's" from Mail before restarting iCal. When you open iCal turn off "Show Birthdays calendar" in iCal>Preferences...>General.
Are you syncing any data? If so, what method(s) are you using?

The new Business Volume Purchase Program is pretty interesting...it can be used to centrally purchase and distribute paid ( not free) items from the AppStore. We are getting setup to use it. You can keep an eye on licenses etc. You can also use a single centralized form of payment.

I am not being critical, but you seem to want Safari to behave exactly like Chrome. Every software developer has a plan. Sometimes features in one product parallel other products - sometime not. There might be some things available that would help you. Do not hold your breath, however, for suggestions from people who use these forums. Most of us use (and like) Apple products. If you wish to make suggestions for future improvements, there is a feedback area on this web site that Apple employees read/review.
Candidly, your approach would be akin to suggesting that Apple emulate the "features" in Windows (heaven forbid).
I use Safari (and have for years). I use Firefox (not a bad product) as my alternate browser.
Sorry for what appears to be a pedantic lecture. However, I think most of us adapt to different products if we really want to use them.

What is the meaing of the sysmbolic constant value in the header file for UIR file and how they are used

In labwindows after creating the uir then header file is create automatically. There it has define some symbolic constant. As examples of colview.h(from the examples of labwindows )

When creating a UIR file, CVI editor takes care of assigning constants to the panels / controls you create in it.
The conceptual framework is the following (assuming to treat the file you have reported in your message):
- Within a single UIR file all panels have a unique ID, which is the one you pass to LoadPanel when loading a panel into memory. LoadPanel (0, "myfile.uir", MAINPNL); is then translated to panelHandle = LoadPanel (0, "myfile.uir", 1); , that is: "load the first panel in the uir file". The panel in memory is then assigned a handle, which is guaranted unique by the OS and saved in panelHandle variable
- Addressing a control in a panel is done e.g. using SetCtrlVal (panelHandle, MAINPNL_NEWTEST, xxx); , which again is translated to SetCtrlVal (panelHandle, 1, 3); that is: "Set control #3 in the panel identified by panelHandle to value xxx".
You must not modify the include file associated to the UIR as it is fully maintained by the IDE and is rewritten each time you save the UIR file.
That conceptual framework has some advantages and some caveats:
- You can load the same panel more then once in your program: each instance is independent from the others as each panel handle is unique; in some occasions it may be helpful, e.g. if you need to handle several identical equipments connected to your PC and you can load the same control panel for each unit connected maintaining each of them independent
- If the panel handle is wrong, the system does not warn you of this as it does not know of the symbolic names you are using; if you try that SetCtrlVal command with a wrong handle you are trying to manipulate a control on a panel different from the one you intend: supposing actual panel idientified by the handle has control #3 the maximum you can expect is that you receive an error in case you pass e.g. a string to a numeric, but if controls are of the same type you have no errors or warning at all! This is particularly important when addressing controls on pages of a tab control: each page is really a separate panel with its proper handle that you must retrieve with GetPanelhandleFromTabPage command before addressing the controls on it

Controlling how addresses are displayed

I manage a lot of people and often write group emails. Recently, I need the "Reply to" section to go to my friend's email address so I put it in there. Mail kept converting it to his "nickname" Monkster" which is inappropriate for a business letter. I kept clicking the corner of the blue tube encapsulating the name and selecting "Edit" and could not remove the name from being seen. I finally had to go to the address book and just delete the name altogether.
Back to the subject, is there a way to control how the addresses are displayed? I tried looking in preferences and could only find "Automatically complete addresses" which I unchecked but was no help.

Try putting the address in AddressBook, as you'd like it to appear. Then, in Mail, in the "Windows" menu, select "Previous Recipients". Find the offending nickname there, and remove it

Songs cut off. someting to do with id3 tags and how they are encoded?

Something very disconcerting is happening; tracks are being cut off before they should. Slowly more and more songs are being 'eaten'.
One correlation does seem to be that they are all encoded with iTunes v4.0.1 and have id3 tag: v2.2. Unfortunately I have no idea what, if anything, this means or what to do about it.
The 'time' display of the song is changed to the point where it cuts off rather than it's true length. I have tried changing the stop time (song info, options tab) but it does not allow me to make it longer.
Currently iTunes 9.0.2 (25) is being used. This problem spans over several updates.

Usually I do get info on a whole album, but I found that doing this for individual songs allows you to view the sorting info, and it was this that was causing the problem - All the sorting info has to be exactly the same for each song within an album for it to sort properly on an ipod. It's weird that the sorting was fine within Itunes, but not on the ipod, but anyway this seemed to solve the problem.

PDFExport fonts. How they are detected, difference between bold and italic.

i am experiencing issues with PDFExport mainly because i don't understand how the engine detects fonts in the original document.
First i will explain my issue:
PDFExport is used on linux machine environment.
Copyright reasons prevents me from using windows fonts for PDFExport. I downloaded some open source fonts, most of time they are working fine. the issues that i have are with the variations the fonts. italicized and bold.
Lets take an example of a .doc file. the file contains Hebrew characters some of them are bolded some italicized and some are regular. the font that .doc used is a windows font called David.
When i use PDFExport with the original David fonts everything works fine and converted correctly to PDF. Since i cannot use windows fonts i resorted to using the Open Source fonts, they too have similar in style to David. they have bold version, italicized version and regular version.
When i use the open source fonts the detection of the font is incorrect. the entire document becomes italic. when i remove the italic version of the font everything is bold. and when i remove the bold version everything becomes regular. -- i am missing the bold and italic styles when they are used in the document.
(note that the original document can use any font it wants not restricted to the Copyright issue)
if i understood how the detection worked, i could modified the open source fonts that i have so that it will detect correctly all the different style (bold and italicized ) correctly.
my first question:
How can i use the Open source fonts and also not lose the bold and italicized styles?
my second question:
2. Is there a way to recieve via the API which fonts the engine looked for and didn't find? it can help me to better understand which fonts i need. and may be look for them and bring them manually.
sometimes even when i used the entire windows fonts folder still the fonts where missing or incorrect. (in the resulted converted PDF 'squares' instead of characters). an API like this may help me look for the missing fonts.
my third question:
is there a general guide or Standard which fonts to use. i wish to use the minimum number of fonts which will get the job done. i.e characters will be visible and not squares, styles (bold and italicized) should not be lost.
my forth question:
How do the engine choose which font to use?

These are very deep technical questions and I assume it will be difficult to find anyone who knows answers on this forum.

Metrics - How they are defined / calculated ?

My customer is analyzing a couple of standard reports. They are asking for the definition or calculation for some metrics like:
a) In the Active Campaign status report
ROI - Return over investment
Cost per closed sale
Cost per leadb) In the Team Sales Effectiveness Analysis report
Average business volume
Success RatePls. is there a way / document that has this information ?
I know that these are in the 'model' or 'OBI repository used' but I dont think we have access to this model.

How do I get multiple files to open in the same alpha-numeric sort order in which they are displayed in Finder?

If I drag a bunch of files to, e.g., Adobe Photoshop they seem to open in strange orders. This makes automating any sort of editing workflow next to impossible. Is there some way to get programs to open files in the same order in which I see them? This is the default behaviour in Windows and it's really helpful when you have hundreds of files (or even just a few) that need to be processed in a certain order. What's likely happened is that when you transferred the video to the new machine they lost their dates.
Photos use the Exif metadata to record the date and time of the shot. This is quite different from the date and time of the file, which can change as the file is copied from place to place. Video doesn't have Exif, and so iPhoto uses the file date, and that's changed.
Simply, there's no absoultely reliable way to date video.
Try assign dates with the Batch Change command under the Photos menu.

New tabs are not blank they are displaying msn games tab, how to I get rid of this please

I was on msn games today for my godson and I had to install one of the free games he wanted to play, I chose the option to not have msn games as my new tabs but now every time I open a new tab instead of it being blank it displays msn games in the background and the search engine bing. I want blank new tabs back or at least change it to google, thanks.

A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank).
If that isn't the case then an extension has changed that behavior.

Audiobook confusion – no order to how they are listed – cant find anything

OK I have lots of audio books on my ipod. The only issue is, some of them are ones I have ripped from CD and so they have tons and tons of tracks.
At first, the ones I ripped were in the music section of my library and the ones I bought from audible were in the audiobook section. But I really wanted them all together, so I have learned how to move all my audio books to the audiobook section of itunes.
In fact I even went as far as to create new genres in that sections (aka fiction, non-fiction...ect) to further separate the books. I thought that once they were synced with my ipod, I would have the option to search through my audio books the same way I did my music (aka artist, genre, title, ect....)
However, the audiobook book only allows you to search through by track list name.......which I have hundreds of. This type of listing makes it impossible to find anything.
So does anyone have any suggestion on how I can fix this or what the best bet is for me?
I saw Apple has an audiobook builder app. But it is only for apple computer and isn't compatible with my computer --- so anyone that has any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If I understand your situation correctly, the best workaround that I've been able to come up with is to rename each of the tracks that are part of a given book so that the name of the book preceeds the name of the track.
The tracks will still be listed separately on your iPod but at least they will be kept together with other tracks that are a part of that book.

Podcasts. Anyone have any idea how they are suppos...

I love podcasts. I don't like the way my Lumia 800 handles downloading them. Ideally, the integrated podcast app should have the ability to download podcasts straight to the phone over the air via 3G or wifi. Currently it only works when I connect via USB through Zune.
I've enabled wireless sync, and it works (Don't ask me how I got it working, it didn't for 2 weeks and then.. bingo!), and used the settings in music/podcasts/settings to download the first 3 episodes via wifi. When I check in Marketplace, it says "10 downloads" above the "2 updates" message, but refuses to download. When I click on "10 downloads", it does show me which episodes should be downloaded, which means that it is connecting somehow to see which podcasts are new, but I just have the "pending" message next to the episode info.
Help?

Thanks, but I am looking for someone to tell me how the podcast "app" built into the device syncs when downloading podcasts. Without connecting to Zune via USB. I understand that you need to find the podcasts first through Zune, but when I am subscribed, I thought that the Lumia would download new episodes as they appeared when connected to the mains, and connected to Wifi.
I assumed the following would happen; I find a podcast I like, and subscribe to it using the method you described above. On my device, I click on "Music and Videos" then "Podcasts", where I see a list of the podcasts on my device. I click on the text describing the podcast (Not the picture - that starts the podcast) and I see "In collection" that I have two episodes "pending". I have no option to download (I understand that), but I thought that when I connect to the charger, the "pending" episodes would begin to download if I am connected to Wifi.
They don't. I can click on "Series Settings" under "Episodes" where I can then specify how many episodes to keep. Then on that screen there is another(!) "Settings" where I can specify whether I "Connect with Zune" or not. Whatever I choose, the podcasts aren't downloaded. On the "Series Settings" page, it says ;
"New episodes will automatically download while your phone is charging. We'll only use WiFi unless you change this in settings"
Except they don't.
Does anybody else download podcasts when NOT connected to a computer?
