ERecruitment Search Template Elements

Hi,
As a recruiter I want to be able to search on all the fields of a candidates "Desired Employment" tab. However as standard I have noticed only the fields Country, Functional Area and Hierarchy Level are available via configuration.
Can anyone suggest or explain how to add the other fields from this tab such as salary expectations, contract type, industry etc to be searchable?
Points will be given for all answers!

Hi Tom,
You can add fields in search criteria. For E.g you want to add it in work expereince, go to spro-> Talent warehouse-->candiate search -
> candiate search -
>search templates -
>Define seach templates elements. Here in new entries you can add new element. For better working copy exsisting element of work experience and then change the name of OTR field .
Also under Attributes of Infotype category
Add new element under Field..for e.g contract type, annual salary .Save the same.
Then In
Assign Search Template Elements to Search Templates. Choose Work Experince and add new element via new entry.
This will add new elements in seach criteria.

Hi,
With E-Recruiting 300, is it possible to provide options in search criteria such as job location and branch with drop down options for a candidate looking for a job. I understand that it is configured in table V_T77RCF_SM_ASME with search template "search criteria for employment opportunity" but do you have to copy across classes etc? I have a feeling that the help option with values isn't available for 300 but that is just something i came across a while ago and can't find the documentation on it. Thanks for your help. Thanks for your prompt reply, I had been doing that config and tested it but it didn't work, I'll just verify it and test it again. I had thought that it was due to restricitions in 300 that you can't have help results such as the list of locations when applying as a candidate.
Also I would like to check 2 other things if you don't mind.
Do you need to create a Z* template element or can you just use what is there. I don't want to lose configuration when SP are implemented.
Secondly do you know of any particular class that would give location results exp.

Saving master page in search template throws error "UserAgent not available, file operations may not be optimized"

Hi Folks,
I was trying to save basic search template master page "seattle.master" after making change to the template.
I have added just "CompanyName" folder and update the line below in seattle.master.
Change is this : <SharePoint:CssRegistration Name="Themable/CompanyName/corev15.css" runat="server"/>
When I save it, and refresh page on browser, it shows "Something went wrong" error.
ULS says the following error : "UserAgent not Available, file operation may not be optimized"
Pls let us know if there is a solution.

SharePoint Foundation 2013 -- How to add the document property option in default search template

Dear All
The search for foundation 2013 is working fine with me. I want to add the view document property in the search option? can any one tell me how can i do it in foundation 2013.

1) Add the view property in Search Managed properties through central administration
2) I found one solution that shows me the .html files in SPD Catalog search template, that i did not found in the respective place. (there is no reason why its not there)

Display templates are not available in SharePoint Foundation. You must use SharePoint Server.

E-Recruiting 6.0: Search Profile & Search Template

Hi Experts,
I am trying to enhance and configure the Search function (which can be triggered in Talent Management or Candidate Selection Search) in E-Recruiting 6.0
Can anyone tell me the difference in config/purpose between the config:IMG->SAP E-Recruiting->Recruitment->Talent Warehouse->Candidate->Candidate Search, Search Profile and Search Template?
I read the online help and it only describe about Search Template and not Search Profile. I also check the standard system and it only displays what is configured for Search Template and NOT Search Profile.
Is the Search Profile still in use and what is the purpose if I have already configured the Search Template?

Hello Bill,
unfortunately the information that an internal candidate has left (or will leave - in this case the is_inactive flag will be set at the leave date via a periodical service processing table t77rcf_p_stat) can be easily seen on the databese but not in the e-recruiter applications.
I am not really sure if the employee id should disappear in candidacy table or not (customers see this different according to their attitute to rehiring people) but in general sap did not implement alot of functionalities to differ between internal and external candidates. Ok there is something for correspondence but it is not even possible to have different questionaires in the application wizard for external iand internal applicants.
In my opinion I'd assume that an employee applying on an internal position and leaving in the process is a 1 of 1000 case, as long as the process does not take eternities so I personally would not invest much effort into it. You cannot handle every special case in a system (or at leat noone pays for it) and from my experience in companies up to perhaps 2k employees, everyone in HR knows who leaves.
If you really have a strong business need in this issue, e.g. positions are published internally and once someone leaves has imedeately taken of the position you could use the the e-recruiting BAdI which is available in the BAdI implementation delivered by SAP to handle the candidate creation and stuff. You could add functionality into it that it tracks if there is a leave and the candidate has open applications and send the recruiter of the requisition an email. Other solution might be a periodical service or any other background job which checks this and destributes the information so the recruiter can take the necessary actions.

Dreamweaver template elements keep moving about?

In Dreamweaver MX 2004, I've created a template, and then
used the template to create several pages. The problem is the pages
are slightly different in that some of the layout cells are ever so
slightly wider or smaller (or seem to move about when I click on
the links to other pages). I've only created one editable region in
the template, and all of the cell widths are fixed, so why does
this happen?

Perhaps the cell in question is a header cell <th>
rather than a table data
cell <td>? If that's the case, you can manually change
the code for the
opening and closing <th> tags to <td> tags, or,
having clicked in the cell,
you can deselect the enabled checkbox on the Property
inspector called
"header".

Search Template for shared queues

Hi,
I have created a search template for my process. My business scenario is that a task will be assigned to the shared queue. Users will search the task from the queue, claims the task and do some action from the to-do list.
Currenlty the search templates are searching the tasks from the to-do list. Is there a way to provide searching in the shared queues?

Can't pull Office field from search template driven employee directory in 365

I'm setting up a search driven employee directory. The issue is that the office field won't come in. The ManagedPropertyMapping tag includes "OfficeNumber" but for some reason the ctx.CurrentItem won't pull back that particular field. I can do a search
for "OfficeNumber: Vinings" for instance and it works correctly. I've spent hours trying to sort this out and I'm getting no where. Does anyone have any ideas?

$getItemValue(ctx,"Office").value should pull back the value according to your template. If you added the mapping yourself (as I don't recall if it's a default one or not) you have to create a new result type to hook up your custom display template

can somebody please give me an idea of where to search for Query elements by the UID.
My colleague created a standard BEx transport order and did nothing else than release it. Now the order contains different Query elements that should be deleted. We want to check those elements before transporting, but can't find a way...

Search on Elements Tags in Bridge

I have cataloged and tagged in Elements 4 a number of Canon RAW images. Is there anyway that I can search for the tags in Bridge. I am prepared to convert to Adobe RAW, but need to keep the tags. If I have to convert, how do I do it and keep the Adobe RAW images in Elements with the tags without having to reenter everything?

Elements Tags for RAW images aren't saved with the image file - only in the Elements Database. This means other programs can't see them.

ERecruitment Process Template Activities

Hi All,
        I am working in eRecruitment implementation project. I have an issue with activities. I Rejected a candidate application by creating Rejection activity. But after rejecting the application still the system is allowing to change the status to " To be Hired ". Client said they dont want this to happen. Could any one suggest me wat to do so that after rejection no activity should be able to perform.

             We installed TREX with SES. First i created Search service relation with TEST_SSR. with this ssr a index category is create. I got some errors in this index category. So i deleted this index category and tried to create another Search service relation with different name. Here New index category is not created but the old category is exisiting and when i am trying to use it, it is giving an error that "TEST_SSR" does not exist. So could u pls suggest me to create a new index category for new SSR.

Searching Templates to Print DVD Cover on DVD Boxes From Pages or Keynote.

i have iWork 06 and i want to print dvd jewel case or commercial boxes
from Pages or Keynotes , i dont want to use third parthy applications.
i just need templates i can import in iWork 06 , and work on them.

I was just looking at a post I made awhile ago on this subject for a response to another post. Here it is adapted for you:
There are several options for templates you can use in Pages. First, there those submitted by other users & available at iWork Community. Three possibilities for Word templates are Microsoft, Neato & Fellowes
Most templates for Word will open nicely in Pages. I haven't come across one that doesn't, but that doesn't mean someone else might. The only thing to watch for is the file extension. Some Word templates have an extension other than .doc. You will still be able to use them, just change the extension to .doc in the Finder or Pages won't recognized them as Word files. Of course, you can't change just any file's extension to .doc & have Pages open it. It must be a Word document.

ERECRUITMENT - Making Container element in Container Sequence mandatory

Flexibilization within container elements are working fine. However, we need the option to make some container elements as mandatory. For example - We do not want external candidates to submit an application without completing the Work Experience container element. I have made vertain fields within the Work Experience container element as mandatory and this works, but the issue is when the candidate totally skips this container element and submits the application.
I did not find any IMG option to do this, is it possible only within the BSP? Any ideas?

Hello Sunil,
this is a functionality many customers would like to have. The work experience might be not the best example as there are really applicants who apply for their first job and could never fill this container but from a general point of view the requirement is valid.
Unfortunately there is no possibility within the standard delivery to check required fields outside of the container at the end of the application wizard. We discussed this with SAP and we got the answer that they can't change the system behavoir due to some architecture issues.
The only option I currently see would be trying a modification to check your required inputs on the "Submit" button of the application wizard. Of course this might get very tricky if you use different contexts with different sets of required fields.

ERecruiting - Process Template extension by WebDynpro step.

I'd like to ask you for advice gurus.
Is it possible to extend process template for new step, which will link me to webdynpro page?
Currently we use questionnaires to collect candidates data, where is no validation against system data and we want to replace this questionnaire by webdynpro as new step.
I'm not aware about some kind of enhancement, which will allow us to proceed with this request.

I don't think yo will be able to do this with enhancement. Probably better to pass it over to abap and get a webdynpro created from scratch for your purposes then include this in your ui.
