Ericsson H5321gw/C5621gw и переход на Windows 10

Очень важная инофрмация от команды Lenovo о проблеме с wwan модемами Ericsson H5321gw/C5621gw при переходе на Windows 10.
For anyone with either of these cards upgrading to Windows 10:
H5321gw Mobile Broadband Device
C5621gw Mobile Broadband Device
Affected Systems;
ThinkPad L430
ThinkPad L530
ThinkPad S230u
ThinkPad S430
ThinkPad T430, T430i, T430s, T430si
ThinkPad T530, T530i
ThinkPad W530
ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Type 34xx)
ThinkPad X230, X230i
ThinkPad Edge S430
If the card's firmware hasn't been updated before upgrading to Windows 10 the card will produce a yellow bang in device manager and not function.  The current firmware doesn't allow itself to be installed running Windows 10 resulting in the system having to be rolled back to the previous OS, the firmware installed and then upgraded again to Windows 10.

  • Error with Ericsson h5321gw and IPSEC VPN-Connections

There is an error in the Lenovo drivers [7.x] for the Ericsson h5321gw UMTS module.
    Symptoms on Windows 7 x64:
UMTS is working fine. When you connect a vpn ipsec connection though the UMTS , the internet connection (and the vpn as well) gets unstable and has a packet loss of 30% to 50%.
    Solution:
Install the UMTS drivers in the NDIS 5.0 mode on Windows 7. (The only problem is, that the system boot takes about 1 minute longer with the ndis 5 drivers).
    Further Reading: Message 5: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/Outlook-Exchange-connection-unstable-on-T52...
    Howto form the Lenovo Forum:
Force the installation to install Ericsson's vista driver instead of win7 driver. Vista driver is NDIS 5. Installation can be done.
-> extract the Ericsson drivers package but don't let it install the driver. There should be extracted a setup.exe file
-> do the installation with command: setup.exe /zFORCEVISTA
    This helped for us.
    Tip:
If you want to install the win7 driver back, it can be done with command: setup.exe /zFORCEWIN7
Otherwise using the setup.exe will install the vista ndis 5 when since it once have been told to to install it by /zFORCEVISTA
I hope, Lenovo can solve this issue quickly.
    Greetings

I’m not sure this is the same issue you guys are running into, but I’m using the built-in Ericsson h5321gw and ATT SIM on an i7 X1 Carbon. I am required to use a Cisco VPN Client and after connecting successfully to my VPN endpoint via ATT WWAN, I could not get any data in/out the tunnel.
I tried in both Windows 7 and Windows 8 OS, even trying the setup.exe /zFORCEWIN7 work around to no avail.
After doing some searching, I came across a blog post describing the same issue I had.
There is an update to Windows’ DNE that actually solved the issue for me using the standard Erricson W8 (and W7) drivers. (I also performed the h5321gw fireware update from Lenovo, but I did that before the DNEUpdate – that alone did _not_ fix it)
    DNEUpdate x64: ftp://files.citrix.com/dneupdate64.msi
    DNEUpdate x86: ftp://files.citrix.com/dneupdate.msi
    Hope this helps.

  • Ericsson H5321gw is Unlock for worldwide (for any carrier)?

    Hi,
Does someone know modem WWAN Ericsson H5321gw (60Y3297) is unlock for worldwide, without any simlock or something? Or some of these modem can be lock (for example just to work in USA) and some unlock?
I would like to buy for example in USA, and I am not sure, that modem will be also working in Europe.
I have to be 100% sure.
    Please for help.

That card is not carrier-locked, so is potentially able to work with any 3G carrier that supports BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) access and operates on the bands supported by the card.
However, not all 3G carriers support BYOD, so if you have expectations of using the card with specific carriers, you would need to determine if their access polices would allow you to do that.

  • H5321gw Ericsson can't connect to Telstra Prepaid SIM

    Hello forum
I have a Thinkpad Twist i7 with a SIM card slot.
I also have a prepaid Telstra sim card and modem which works fine in the usb slot.
If I put the prepaid Tesltra SIM card in the sim slot of the Thinkpad, how do I get the inbuilt Ericsson broadband modem to see the SIM card and connect to the internet ?
    Regards
    Al

    Hello again Mr. Al
One thing you can attempt to do to see if it activates is to go to the lenovo website and download the Ericsson H5321gw/C5621gw Mobile Broadband Driver for Windows 8 (32-bit, 64-bit) and also download the Ericsson H5321gw/C5621gw Mobile Broadband Firmware for Windows 8 (32-bit, 64-bit). Listed below is the path.
    1. Go to the Lenovo website (www.Lenovo.com.au)
    2. Click the support link at the top of the page
    3. Its going to ask you to choose the type of support you need so select drivers and software
    4. Its going to ask you to enter you machine information so enter in you machine type or you product ID and search
5.Once you arrive at the drivers and software page scroll down to Networking: Wireless WAN and open the link
    6. Download both the driver and the firmware update within the link
    7. Once both are installed and completed reboot your machine then check to see if you have connection.
Once these actions are performed please respond back and let me know if this resolves your issue.
    Thank You,
    Mack

  • Driver version C5621gw not updated to 8.0.10.1 (stuck on 8.0.8.5)

I downloaded Ericsson H5321gw/C5621gw Mobile Broadband Driver for Windows 8.1 (32-bit, 64-bit), 8 (32-bit, 64-bit) - ThinkPad (http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS032425) because I occasionally have an issue with resuming. If I switch off the setting to preserve power on the driver, the machine crashes after a resume. I also have the issue that after resume, broadband is simply not there.
So I downloaded the new driver g7wo09ww.exe wihich should contain the new driver 8.0.10.1. This driver is supposed to fix this problem  (see below).
However, after installation my driver says 8.0.8.5. Even after completely deinstalling the driver and reinstalling, I'll end up with 8.0.8.5 instead of 8.0.10.1.
Is there a way to get the latest driver installed?
    Thanks,
    Ruud
    Version 8.0.10.1
(Fix) Specified the machine types of ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Machine types: 34xx).
(New) Added support for Windows 8.1.
(New) Improved the GPS radio performance.
(Fix) Corrected the unattended install command option from "-SILENT" to "/s".
    Version <8.0.9.3> (G7WO08WW)
(New) Added support for ThinkPad Helix.
(Fix) Fixed an issue wherein Ericsson Mobile Broadband did not display in
Network Panel for about 20 seconds after System Suspend, Hibernate, or
    Restart.
(Fix) Corrected the model name from ThinkPad S230u to ThinkPad Twist and
ThinkPad Twist S230u in this Readme document.
    Version <8.0.8.4> (G7WO06WW)
(Fix) Fixed an issue where automatic connection to the internet after resuming normal operation from sleep/hibernation or restarting the computer.
(Fix) Fixed an issue where the connection button might not work after the Airplane mode was turned on/off.
(Fix) Fixed an issue where the navigation pointer on Bing Maps did not move smoothly.
    Version <8.0.5.3> (G7WO05WW)
    (New) Initial release.

I get the same behaviour - the driver reports as 8.0.8.5 after installing the update described on the web site as 8.0.10.1
What is also interesting is that when I first check the driver after reading this post, the driver I had installed was earlier than 8.0.8.5, despite running the Lenovo update tool on a regular basis, so the Lenovo update tool doesn't seem to even know about this 8.0.10.1/8.0.8.5 update.

    Hi
No needs for additional, custom drivers pack. In order to use Ericsson H5321gw/C5621gw modems in the win10 IB based on machines, upgrade firmware before win10 installation:
    http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-x-series-laptops/thinkpad-x230/downloads/DS032508
It's an Lenovo official, approved, tested solution.
So, honestly, the link to the custom pack on the external site should be removed according to the Community rules.
    Thanks.

    Hi Swathu,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
Are you sure that your model has been shipped with WWAN card from the factory?
If you have a WWAN card installed in your system, Lenovo Mobile Broadband Activation will guide you through the activation of mobile broadband. Also, install Think Vantage Access connections to handle various wireless profiles.
    Hope this helps!

  • Lenovo Twist - Can't get WWAN Driver to Install

    Hey,
So, got my Lenovo Twist last weekend - absolutely love it, but **bleep**.. I'd love to be able to slap a SIM in here an go.
Problem is, the WWAN driver appears to be missing - Device Manager shows the WAN Miniport, but the driver doesn't work.
Here is what I've tried so far:
    - Allowing Windows to try to find an updated driver (nothing)
    - Downloaded and attempted to install this from the Lenovo Twist Support Drivers Page: Ericsson H5321gw/C5621gw Mobile Broadband Firmware for Windows 8 (32-bit, 64-bit) - ThinkPad (this results in an error: Initialization error) - This seems to only be a firmware anyway
    - Tried this one.. which appears to be the driver for Ericsson H5321gw: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS029034 (Installs, but doesn't solve the driver issue.. even after reboot)
    - Tried a few other various drivers that people have suggested, but none seem to work.
    Any suggestions?
    Marc

Following up on an earlier post I opened up my Twist to see what is inside with respect to WWAN.  Easy to do; just two screws and slide out the keyboard.  I had not seen any WWAN references in the Device Manager.  Sure enough, the PCI Express slot the User Guide shows to be the location of the WWAN card has the 24GB SSD. Even though the SIM slot and socket is there and the red/blue antenna leads are there it does not appear both the WWAN and 24GB SSD can be installed at the same time.  The other PCI Express slot has the WIFI card.
I don't know enough about SSDs but maybe a SATA type SSD could take the place of the 500GB hard drive which could free the PCI Express slot for a WWAN?
My Twist is model S230u and the Lenovo System Update application says the "Machine type and model" is 33474HU.

  • Windows 8.1 upgrade - WAN issue

    Hello!
I just upgraded to Win 8.1 and I found (for me) serious issue with drivers compatibility. I have a SIM slot in my notebook and Mobile broadband drivers are incompatible (so I can't use internet connection via 3G / EDGE).
    My hardware:

The Lenovo posted solution at this point is:

  • Sysprep + BSOD with Laptop Builds

Hello All - maybe I'm missing something here, but to keep it simple my issue is the following:
I've got approx 20 Laptops to deploy with a new Base Windows 7 x64 Ent Edition with Office / In house applications.
I just completed the same setup with the desktop - ie - build a base PC - install all apps / updates - and ran a simple sysprep /oobe /generalize. This all worked fine, I then copied the install.wim file to my distribution USB stick and built the 40+
    desktop - no problems.
However, for our laptops Lenovo X230 - I run the same process, install Windows / Office / In House Apps / patches etc - run sysprep /oobe /generalize - whenever the "base" laptop reboots - BSOD, also the install.wim file used on anyother Lenovo's
    - same thing BSOD.
The BSOD occurs when loading the disk.sys driver - so the disk driver appears to be the issue here - but how to fix? The Windows  repair does not work, BIOS for the controller is set to AHCI (I've tried both setting to Compatability) and I'm at
    a complete loss.
Does anyone have any ideas what I could try?
    Regards
    Simon

Hello, it looks like the issue is with the Ericsson H5321gw driver.
I ran a sysprep after each driver install from device manager (using the SCCM Drivers) and the last device I installed - the H5321gw caused the BSOD. The driver for this was not available on the SCCM Drivers - it was downloaded directly from Lenovo.
I suppose the work-around will be:
    - New build / Install all drivers for device manager from the SCCM set / WSUS / Application Install / Sysprep
The Ericsson drivers will need to be manually added at the end (unless I can find an alternative H321GW driver for SCCM)?
    Device order install:
    Network Driver - Good
Base System Device – Ricoh PCIe SDXC / MMC Host Controller – Good
    Bio Metric Driver – Good
    Network Controller – Good
PCI Simple Communications Controller – Good
    SM Bus Controller – Good
Unknown Device – Lenovo PM Device
    Ericsson H5321gw - Failed

    Soweit so prima!

  • X230 Family Type 2325 drivers In update retriever

    Hey,
I've been using UR for quite some time and it's working great for me with SCCM etc.,
the organization I work for had began purchasing X230 family laptops (Type 2325),
I'm missing some drivers from Update Retriever that are available on the support website,
I'm searching for type 2325 language English OS Windows 7
    these are:
ThinkPad Bluetooth g4wb10ww (Version 6.5.1.2700)  (appears as BCM... In device manager)
RapidBoot Shield 32/64 (both appear on UR but fails to download while all other drivers successfully download from UR)
USB3.0 Appears but doesn't seem to get installed (it appears In candidate list log of thininstaller),
then I read that on the RapidBoot shield update notes that usb 3.0 needs rapidboot drivers v1.23 (which doesn't appear on  the new driver releases page:

Sorry for these issues, the updates team is still working on getting all the updates published for the new systems like X230...
Bluetooth should be there starting from today.
I recommend not installing RapidBoot Shield unless you have personally tested it and determined that it makes your image boot faster and doesn't cause side-effects.
Intel USB 3.0 has a wrong dependency on RapidBoot Shield, the team is working on removing the dependency.  If you are using ThinInstaller you may be able to figure out how to remove the dependency from the XML file yourself...

The WAN is working just fine, and the GPS is seen when I explore the (wireless) tab under Settings, but ..
I can not use it, Google earth can not see it and I don't have any software from Lenovo or third parties that can configure it.
