ERM & CUP and Role Status attribute

Hi,
Under a strategy where roles are imported into CUP from ERM, could anyone share the use / meaning / purpose for "Role Status" attribute in EMR?
Thanks for all. Best regards,
    Imanol

Varun,
We have been extensively checking the sync from ERM into CUP and I can tell you that roles into CUP can be imported eventhough they have Development status value in ERM.
Anyone has identified the same behaviour in CUP when sync roles from ERM?
Thanks for all. Best regards,
  Imanol

  • Cannot find FF info in  ERM, CUP and RAR (GRC5.3)

I can only find FF info on the ABAP system txn  /VIRSA/VFAT.
But on the ERM, CUP and RAR (GRC5.3), I cannot find any info about FF.
Which menu path/tab should I go search?
    Thanks!

    Hi Crishty,
GRC AC contains four components RAR(CC),CUP(AE),ERM(RE) and SPM(FF).
These seperate component have four seperate URL, so you will not get FF in ERM,CUP & RAR.
Here are the URL to access these grc component,
    URL for RAR(CC)-
    http//<hostname>:<portnumber>/webdynpro/dispatcher/virsa/ccappcomp/ComplianceCalibrator
    URL for CUP(AE)-
    http://<hostname>:<portnumber>/AE
    URL for ERM(RE)-

    URL for SPM(FF)-

  • CUP-Role Status regarding to the System

    Hello,
I have been doing some test and I wonder how to distinguish when the role is ready at the diferent phisical system as Prod, Q, Dev.
When searching a role already imported from ERM, you can select three diferent role status ( only the third one is authomatic set from ERM after the import):
    -Enable
    -Disable
    -Enable and provisioning
What does this role status mean? would it be useful for diferring from one phisical system to another?
    Thanks in advance!
    Margarita.

    Hello Margarita,
Here is the explanation of the staus of role:
Enable u2013 roles you want to maintain but do not allow auto provisioning.
Enable and Provision u2013 roles you want to maintain and allow auto provisioning when selected by a user.
Disable u2013 roles that are disabled and are not displayed when the end user uses the Search feature to query for roles.
In normal circumstances, when you import roles from ERM to CUP you would only import those roles which have been generated into production and thus are ready for assigning to users. That is why roles imported from ERM have the status as Enable & Provision.

  • Difference Between Attribute Tab and Role Attribute Option

    Hi Experts,
What is the relation between option custom fields and sub-option attribute under option roles in CUP> config.
I am asking this because, i have created a workflow based on functional area and now i am getting two functional area options in CAD(select attribute) and in initiator.I know, from where they are coming from....
    1.Custom field>functional area.
    2.Roles>Attributes>functional area.
Under both options different values are maintained for functional areas, for e.g.AP and AR in first and Bank and Asset in the other one.
The strange thing to me is that i am able to view only values maintained in Custom field>functional area while creating a test request no value is coming from Roles>Attributes>functional area.
However, while selecting role(option selct role), initially creating request, i can see the values maintained under functional area(coming from Roles>Attributes>functional area)
    Regards,
    Mukesh

    Mukesh,
In simple words, there is no relationship between custom fields and role attributes.
Function area under role attribute is referred as "Functional Area of Role" in CUP. The other functional area refers to the "functional area of the user". In a company, both these functional areas can be similar or different as an user from "AP" can have roles from "AP" as well as "FI".
When you are creating CAD, do not select functional area of role and you would not see the attribute values from role FA.
    I hope this helps you.
    Regards,
    Alpesh

  • ERM & CUP: Risk Analysis Error

    Hello everyone,
Will someone please urgently help us with this issue?  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!  : )
We are on AC v5.3 SP 8.  In RAR, we are able to run a Risk Analysis both in the foreground and background across all users and roles.  However, when we try to run a Risk Analysis in ERM or CUP, we get an error saying that the "Risk Analysis Failed".  The other strange thing is that the error does occur for every role in ERM--just most of them.  Also, the ERM management dashboard reflects the correct number of roles in the SAP back-end system, but it says that there are 0 risk violations, which is incorrect.
I have checked that the connectors into RAR successfully connect.  I have confirmed the servers.  I have re-run all of the background jobs in RAR, ERM and CUP, but nothing seems to be working.
Is there anybody that can please help us?
    Thank you!

    Hello Amol,
Thank you for your suggestions.  I have confirmed that the connectors, etc. are correct.  Here are some of the error logs u2026 any ideas?

  • RE: CUP and IDM

    Dear Experts,
Even after reading IDM documentation, I am not able to figureout the difference between CUP and Identity management. Can any explain me the difference. CUP and IDM both provides user provisioning, Password self service. what is the advantage of integrating IDM with CUP?
    Thanks
    raj

    Hi,
SAP IDM helps companies to centrally manage their user accounts (identities) in a Complex system landscape. This can provision into both SAP and      non-SAP systems.
Suppose any request for role assignment is there in SAP IDM and if role assignment requires compliance check then it will be sent for request processing and risk analysis in CUP.  Based risk approved /declined request status will be sent to SAP IDM. If request is approved IDM will start provisioning to target SAP system else no provisioning.
And if role assignment do not require compliance check IDM will directly provision to target system.
CUP: Workflow for risk analysis and mitigating controls and Provides web services for compliance checks, status checks.

  • [SOLVED] cups and laserjet 1018

    Hi all,
I've been trying to use cups to set up a Laserjet 1018 with no success. The problem I'm having is that, even though according to the CUPS web interface my job is completed, my printer doesn't print anything. That's what I tried so far (based on the archlinux entry on CUPS and forums):
    - I installed the drivers hplip and foo2zjs.
    - cups is in my daemons array.
    - I tried to stop and start usblp module.
    - the device node permissions are correct.
That's the output of my /var/log/cups/error_log (I'm using "LogLevel debug" in my cupsd.conf):

  • Automatic Creation of Roles and Role Mappings in GRC

    Hi,
we are planning to use SAP Identity Management and SAP GRC Access Management.
In SAP IDM we have defined several business roles that contain privilieges in SAP systems. When a user is requesting a role, the request will first be sent to SAP GRC for approval and risk checking.
In order to get this to work, we need to load the business roles of SAP IDM into SAP GRC and we also need to configure the role mapping between the business roles and the technical SAP privileges.
From what I understood, this could be implemented by loading the required information via Excel filles into SAP IDM.However, this is a quite cumbersome and error-rpone approach an we would like to automate this.
Is there a way to use e.g. web service calls to create/delete roles and role mappings in SAP GRC?
BTW: is a documentation of all available GRC web service calls and their parameters available?
Thanks for your help in advance!
    Best regards
    Tom

    Hi Tom,
as stated before, the web service description is in the config guide.
Unfortunately there is no web service to create roles or even mappings in CUP - this is one of many I would also like to se created
I don't think in your context you will be able to directly send Business Roles to CUP. The role mapping only happens after you send the request, so I'm not sure if that's in time for risk analysis - you will need to try that.
Are you a customer or a consultant - anyway, feel free to contact me if you need further help integrating CUP and IdM. This is an evolving interface with many possible scenarios, so it's not easy to give you good advise without seeing the full picture.
    Frank.

  • How do I get and set column attributes in a table or a treetable with Java?

    Using 11.1.1.4.0
    Hi,
How do I get and set column attributes in a table or a treetable with Java? For a simple example, say I have a table and want certain roles to see all columns (including address), and other roles can see only certain columns (no address). In a Java method, I want to test if a table's column visible attribute is true and if so, set it to false before rendering it.
    Thanks in advance,
    Troy

    Hi,
this use case would be a perfect example for using seeded MDS customization. Instead of checking what users are allowed to see or not upon rendering time, you have a customization class and thus the framework doing this for you.
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/31-mds-sample-169173.pdf
In this paper and sample, specific users see different layouts. It also contains a customization class that shows how this can leverage ADF Security

    Hi
Workflow automates the steps and activities in a business process according to predefined procedures and rules.
Workflow presents information and documents to the appropriate knowledge worker or agent (another entity such as a program) to make a decision or perform an activity.
Workflow tracks each and every step in the process flow and maintains an ongoing status.
Workflow also collects and reports all of the metrics associated with the execution and completion of the process.

  • ORA-06502: PL/SQL error with dimensions and roles

    Hi everyone,
When executing a mapping that loads a cube we are always getting that ORA-06502: PL/SQL error character string buffer too small
The cube contains a number of dimensions, some of them with roles. We've checked that the error appears when we use two different lookup operators to fill dimension atributtes in the cube and its correspondent role. If we map dimension attributes with lookup operator, and the role attributes with constants, the mapping executes without any error. Moreover, even thought it doesnt make any sense, if we map the role dimension attributes with a lookup operator linked to a different dimension, it works too.
We think that this could be due to attributes names, maybe they are too long, but we have tried to make them shorter and still getting the same error.
Any ideas of what could be happening?
Thank you so much in advance.

The return datatype in a PLSQL function is unconstrained. Which means it does not have a size.
The size is declared on the receiving end.
What size variable are you trying to return your value into?
    Here is an example...
    SQL>create or replace function my_func
      2  return varchar2
      3  is
      4  begin
      5    return USER;
      6  end;
      7  /
    Function created.
    SQL>declare
      2    my_string varchar2(30);
      3  begin
      4    my_string := my_func;
      5  end;
      6  /
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL>declare
      2    my_string varchar2(3);
      3  begin
      4    my_string := my_func;
      5  end;
      6  /
    declare

  • SCCM 2012 Application Catalog Website Point role Status is critical

    Hi team,
In a client's SCCM 2012 R2 environment there is a Critical Icon and Status against one of two Application Catalog Website point roles. Looking at the Component status, there are no errors and all the components show as green.
Trying to find any warnings or errors in the messages for the Site System role doesnt show any errors, and I tried to reset counts but this has not changed the status.
I am not sure where to go from here. The application catalog itself works and is up. All the services are running. I am unsure as to where this error status comes from or what it pertains to.
     Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hi,
Please check portlctl.log and awebsctl.log to see if there is any error.
You could also check the thread below.
Symptom: Reporting Services Point Status (under Monitoring - System Status - Site Status) appears as Critical, No error messages in logs or status messages
Cause: 'Status' can be set to "2" for 'SMS SRS Reporting Point' in dbo.summarizer_sitesystem table in sql
    Resolution: > Run below query:
update dbo.summarizer_sitesystem set status = '0' where SiteSystem = '["Display=\\abc.local\"]MSWNET:["SMS_SITE=ABC"]\\abc.local\' and role = 'SMS SRS Reporting Point'
    > It should set the status back to 0.
    > Check in console and errors should go away.
    > In case if value reverts back then check below namespace in wmi of site server:
    root\sms\site_pri\sms_sitesystemsummarizer
    > check the value for reporting services point, ideally it should be 0, let's say it's set to 2 there as well then remove role of reporting services point.
    > if entry for reporting services point goes away from both the places then it's good, you can re-install the reporting services point and it should work fine.
    > Let's say if value/values doesn't get removed from sql/wmi , remove them manually via queries and then go with uninstall and re-install.
    > then it should work and errors in console and common.log should go away.

  • CPH Reports for Status Attribute.

Using Central performance History (RZ23n), is it possible to create reports for Status attributes?
Eg: I want to create for number of abap dumps, dead locks for  each day.
As per documentation it says we can create for performance values and we are able to create CPH reports for R3Dialog Response time...
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/c2/49773dd1210968e10000000a114084/content.htm
Any help or ideas are appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Venkat.

Thank you Shyam for so prompt reply,
We are using the same report. But its bit uneasy to go to change document of each and every ticket. Also in this report we could not find how much days the notification lay in New status or in In-process status. We require somewhat in following format.
Ticket number     New           Customer action     In-process
    000001          1Day          1.3 Days          1 Day
    000002          1.3 Days                           2.3 Days           1 Day
    000003          3 Days          3.4 Days          1 Day
We are not bothered about days, week or hours etc. The purpose is to indentify how much time every ticket took stage wise. May be through ABAP this possible but we are looking for standard reports.
    Thanks
