ERMS Mail distribution

Hi Gurus,
We have a requirement for ERMS scenario. When an E-mail is received from external source into CRM system we can see that mail by logging in to
IC_MANAGER role. Agent is not able to see this until he's assigned to it. But our requirement is both agent and manager should be able to see all the
Unassigned mails, which is not a standard behavior. Please provide me inputs

Not sure to understand your requirement.
What search in the inbox does the agent uses ?
If he does not use the "Assigned to" criteria, I believe he should see the emails.

  • How make ERMS mail form avail as a std response 7.0

    I have the mail form created in CIC Manager, in the ERMS email response  I can find the form in the search and insert it.
    I just want mail form to be in the std response so the agent does not have to do a search for it each time.
    Is this doable?
    I'm not trying to make it default in the email response automatically but just easier for the agent to find it without going to "More" and doing a search each time.

    You need to add the mailform ID to a so-called Standard Response Group (transaction CRMC_IC_RESPNGRPX) via IMG menu path: Customer Relationship Management - Interaction Center WebClient - Basic Functions - Communication Channels - Define Standard Response Groups. Its a bit screwy, you you need multiple line entries (with the same Std Response Group ID) for each mail form you want to add to a given profile.
    Then you have to add the Standard Response Group profile to your agent-facing Business Role obviously.

  • ERMS - Mail deletion

    Hi Forum
    We are on CRM 2007 using ERMS module to receive mails and to create IRs and Service tickets.
    In case any email is received and processed, whcih carries sensitive/confidential information then we have a legal requirement to delete such mails. Right now we are struggling with it as we dont have any standard process to achieve it.
    All we have achieved so far is the archival of workitems, which removes the mail from Agent's inboxes. The mail still remains in the manager's workbench.
    So how can we
    a) remove the mail from manager's workbench
    b) If the mail has been processed and a service ticket or IR got created. How can we remove the mail from business context.

    Well, the solution you are suggested is for pro-active monitoring but that may not be the case everytime. And correct me if I am wrong, even the pro-active deletion will not delete tha mail from Manager's workbench. The process you describe will eliminate the dialog step of the workflow resulting in blocking the mail to reach agent's inbox.
    There can many instances, where the mail has been processed and then during review we need to purge such mails. We need to remove them from not only from agent's inboxes (can be achieved from workflow archival) but also from manager's workbench and Service transaction's (IR, Service ticket) business context.
    And that is the challenge we face. I will be glad to know if you or anyone else in the forum managed to achieve it.

    How in method IF_CRM_ERMS_SERVICE~EXECUTE of class CL_CRM_ERMS_AH_CREATE_IR could see mail body as string?

    Hi Igor,
    I believe you have the answer in variable lr_sc_mail_data of that method. After instatiated (around line 167), you just have to read table lr_sc_mail_data->body and get the entry that as content_ascii filled.
    Can you check if that is working in your scenario?

    under CRM,go to marketing ,marketing planner,there you can have your define your communication medium.
    or simply in search write define communication medium
    you will get your options
    defining communication medium is essential as it is the mode by which you will be able to use your mail or any other mode to communicate with others.
    just define the communication medium as INT.

    I am trying to send a report to email and am getting error REP-50159: Executed successfully but there were some errors when distribute the output. Is there somewhere to look to see what the errors are so that I can fix them?
    We are using Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2. I am attempting to run from the command line using this command (substituted descriptions for actual param values):
    rwrun.exe report=report_name.rdf p_parmater="param_value" userid=userid/password@db desformat=pdf destype=mail desname="email address" report_server="report-server-name"

  • How come i know the ip of the mail server at run time

    i'm developing a mail distribution server that can be used to send and receive the mails. now i would like to know that how come i know the ip of the host to which i want to send the e-mail. e.g. if the request comes in from the user and contains the address [email protected] or [email protected] then how come i know the ip address of mail server of yahoo or hotmail

    i seriously believe that you do not need to know the ip address of the host server of the destination address on the mail.u just need to route your mails through the SMTP server for your organisation where ur going to use this server.

  • ERMS: Issue with setting up charset

    Hi Experts,
    We are using CRM 6.0 ERMS to send out emails to customers. Based on the Setting in transaction SCOT all the out going emails are sent with UTF-8 charset (Code Page: 4110). Today Japanu2019s internet mail standard is ISO-2022-JP, and most of mail applications have an option to encode outgoing message to JIS. However, all outgoing message from ERMS are UTF-8 (Unicode) without capability to encode other character code. This will result in Japanese mail message broken in most of webmail clients in Japan such as MSN Hotmail.
    Has anyone faced this issue before. Can we achieve the funtionality wherein Japanese Code page gets selected based on the customers BP language?

    The language for the outgoing ERMS email is determined first by content analysis by TREX (some customers may choose not to set up TREX).   If this determination fails the language of the BP is taken into account . If the BP determination fails, the system language of the WF-BATCH user is taken .
       From the logic above if the Content Analysis succeeds the Japanese language is set for the email.
       We can check the Clasification/Trex setup to make sure that for an email received in Japanese for example the language is recognized.
    As an example you can test/debug by following the steps below
    1   Send an email in Japanese that will trigger auto acknowledge (need to create a mailform with Japanese text to use in auto acknowledge) .
    2   In swi1 look for the background task id corresponding to the ERMS mail
    3   Set a breakpoint in class CL_CRM_ERMS_ADD2FB_CA method
         IF_CRM_ERMS_SERVICE~EXECUTE line 77
        IF error_code <> 0.
        CONCATENATE 'TREX error:'(001) error_text '[' 'error code = ' msg
        ']' INTO msg.
        RAISE EXCEPTION TYPE cx_crm_erms_service_failed
    If error returned is not 0 means that either there is a problem with TREX or it just could not decide based on the content. However normally it should recognize the language. (Watch variable xml_chunk - at the end
    of the XML there is a language tag that should have some value 'DE'
    'EN' etc)
    4  Run program CRM_ERMS_LOGGING. For workitem id enter the id of the
    background task from step 2
    5. The program stops at the breakpoint mentioned above.
    6. Also note that if the language is detected correctly you need also the mail form that is used to be translated in that language ( Japanese ).
    The language of the email overwrites the SXCPSEND entry (language to codepage mapping)
    To sumarize:
    1. Check if clasification/bp detects the language
    2. Mailform is translated in Japanese
    3. Mapping for codepage is maintained in SapConnect (SXCPSEND language to codepage mapping)
      I hope these steps will help the investigation.

  • Mail will not send to smart Group

    I have several smart groups set up and have been using them for mail distribution for years.  All of a sudden, yesterday, several of them will not work for Mail.  I can't expand the group and I press the send button- nothing happens.  Any Suggestions?

    I'm no Mail expert, I only leave it installed in an attempt to help out here, but I do have a couple of questions for you.
    Are you dragging the Group to the TO: box, or the BCC: box?
    How many arein the Group?

    If I insert an E-Mail Addess with a hyphen ( - ) i get the message: "Invalide Receiver E-Mail Adress"
    A address without a hyphen is possible.
    Is there a solution to add more than one Mail Addresses or a Mail Address with an hyphen?

    Hello Sabine,
    your issue with the hyphen ("-") this is a bug in B1if, we will correct it with the next patch.
    To enter more than one E-Mail address in B1i for Sender/Receiver field e.g. separated with a delimiter is not possible at the moment.
    Please use a E-Mail distribution list as workaround.

    In Snow-Leo there was a very annoying problem on mail distribution-lists, if the people on the list had multiple email adresses.

    I have a requirement where i have to send a mail to user depending on the plant. So i have created a custom background method to determine the agent for the mail based on the plant. Then i am passing this as a expression to mail. I mean i am binding this to agent name to addressstring container of the mail task.
    But I am getting the error Object 000000058286 method SENDTASKDESCRIPTION cannot be executed and Document <Budget For Order 800053 Exceeded> could not be sent. How can i rectify this error.
    Please guide me as soon as possible.

    You can directly use mail distribution list and define container element and put its type as SWHACTOR!!!
    then append as much user you need to send to
    OBJECT-TYPE = 'US'
    OBJECT-TYPE = 'USERID'.
    Then append it to container element.
    You can define container element in workflow container and also in the corresponding task then do corresponding-binding between them!!
    in send mail step use expression and put this element ino it
    then don't worry it will works on !!!
