Hi,all
The following things occurred when the upgrade was done from ERP4.6B to 6.0.
When it knows the cause etc. , could you teach?

User log in O.K . (It is not locked. )
【6.0】
User log in N.G . (It is locked. )

It solved it.
Concluding it, the disagreement seems to have occurred because of the following.
(4.6)Password: Eight character
(6.0) password: 40 characters
It was safe if it made it to eight characters when logging it in by 6.0. The report thanks are done. Thank you.

We are doing a ERP 6.0 Upgrade:
System Details: SAP 4.6C Oracle 10G on HP UX with MDMP (9 Languages installed)
Completed Preapre and started with SAPUp, and we are stuck with SPUM4 stage.
Consistancy check is all green, then we proceed with remaining scan and for few big tables we were getting job canceled so we deleted the contects of the table and continue with the scanning jobs.
All scanning completed with some vocablury warnings but still SPUM4 status is not getting green. I checked all the requirments all jobs completed no job in running scheduled or released status.
I have already gone throuhg the post from SDN regarding but nothing is working for me.
If I delete the contents of thetable I have to ren this whole consistancy and remaining scans again?
Do I missing something here?

Since upgrading to 6.01 iOS the app upgrades are locked up and will not download.

My wife's phone had similar symptoms, at least with the text notification alert not working. I have narrowed it down to happening after we use the new navigation feature in the Maps. When we power the phone off and back on, the alert sound seems to return. I haven't tried just "killing" the Maps app after we use it...perhaps that would work as well.

Here, you need to do manual replication between both development system. No transport is possible because of different versions. I am not sure about the document that you posted but same is explained very well in upgrade guide. Please check there.

SAP* login locked !!!??? how can i upgrade my license?

My SAP* login of one of the system got locked, while updating the license. Now the thing is, my license is expired, can only log in through SAP* and that log in also locked how can i upgrade my license??

Hi ,
If all the users are locked, they can be unlocked by
a)Try this command at ur sql plus query level
Go to cmd prompt.
Sqlplus /nolog
conn /as sysdba
this will take you to the sqlprompt.
Just execute the earlier commands there.
sqlplus>UPDATE SAP<schema>.usr02 set uflag=0 where mandt=<CLNT NO> and uflag=64; this statement actually unlocks the users of that particular client. So, try for every client in that sap system.
b) You can delete sap* user
Go to cmd prompt.
Sqlplus /nolog
conn /as sysdba
sqlplus>DELETE SAP<SID>.usr02 where mandt='CLIENT.NO' and bname=SAP*;
Note:-
After doing this restart the system. So, that a new user with the name "sap" gets generated with password "pass". Provided the parameter is set login/no_automatic_user_sapstar= 0 (Automatic user SAP is permitted).

EHP4 for ERP 6.0 upgrade phase MAIN_SHDRUN/DDIC_UPG running takes long time

Dear all,
I just tried to upgrade a fresh ERP 6.0 EHP4 ready (Linux X86_64 - Oracle) to EHP4 ERP 6.0.
I go through phase MAIN_SHDRUN/DDIC_UPG running, but it takes a very long times.
I checked the server resources usage, it 's very low.
I checked on my ERP 6.0 system and also the shadow system (background job, SM50), it seems no activities on both).
MAIN_SHDRUN/DDIC_UPG running - what is this phase about?
Its normal for this phase to takes about several hours??
What should i check to ensure that the upgrade process is still running?
How can i estimate time needed for this EHP4 upgrade?
I installed that freshERP 6.0 EHP4 ready system only on around 3-4 hours.

Dear All,
I have same issue in ERP 6.0, EHP4 update, "MAIN_SHDRUN/DDIC_UPG" phase is still running, 24 hours passed. (only for this phase)
This is a NEW installation and on Production. I had no issues with DEV and QA and has taken only 50 minutes for the same phase.
Everything is same between DEV and PRD except, Production is on AIX HACMP cluster and using latest Ehpi installer + latest SPAM - version 41.
- There is no any error or warnings in /usr/sap/SID/EHPI/abap/log directory
- Phase is running, writing and reading files to installation directory
- No any automatic cluster fail-over mechanisms enabled
- Cluster has two nodes, DB+ASCS on one node and CI on other node.
- Shadow instance is running, can login, no errors in sm21, st22, no any running or canceled background jobs
- I can see 15% to 35% CPU "waits" in CI node where ehpi is running, but 50% of CPU is idle
- Also on same CI node, 70% to 100% disk busy waits can be seen on disks which mounted Ehpi installation directory
- On DB node CPU utilization and disk utilization is low
What could be the reason? Any idea ? How to diagnose.

ERP system Hangsdue to oracle Locks

Hi ;
I am facing a critical situation for about a week that my ERP system hangs due to oracle locks .
in st04 i found the log as dead locks detected. in DB01 i can see processes holding the table DYNPLOAD for more than 1000s and it cause the other processes waiting and the entire system hangs.
The situation is going worse that too many processes are using this and what i am doing is removing the locks from OEM .
Aix5.3 oracle 10g .Ecc 6 = my system configuration.
please suggest a suitable solution for this problem

I cant login as root . i logon using <sid>adm and did all three commands..
1. whats the difference between ps -ef|grep oraadm and ps -fu oraadm. i got a list of oracle processes...
2. shows list of <sid>adm processes...
3. all space shows fine
should i do it as root user whats the difference in it? i have to visit the unix department to do so..can you explain its significants..
DYNPLOAD is the table. can we do anything on database level..i am doing statistics check daily ..but still locking the table.

RUN_RSPTBFIL_PDIST failed during SAP ERP 6.0 upgrade

The cluster table shown in the RSPTBDST.ELG SFHYT is activated but the database object and the runtime object has inconsistencies. ¿Does this have something to do with the problem?

Note 788768 - Problems during upgrade in the phase RUN_RSPTBFIL_DEST
Also try to stop the Shadow instance, restart it manually and try to repeat this phase.

Upgrade 24July2012 locked system when starting xorg/openchrome

I am trying to salvage my laptop install. I had upgraded last week with the July 14, 2012 change in the symlink to /lib.
An upgrade today which included an update to xf86-video-unichrome and a new kernel went smoothly but on reboot syslinux gives the usual boot messages, including that Longhaul APIC does not work on my Via C7-D processor. I get to a terminal login prompt which previously briefly displays before starting xdm. When the login prompt disappears there is now no xdm just a blank display. I am unable to <ctl>-<alt>-<f3> to a terminal.
I can boot to run level 3 when I attempt login the ntp daemon echos the time offset and then I can log in. Startx also locks the system so I am guessing that xorg broke.
For now this is a heads up. I will try to update over the next few days

I reviewed Xorg.0.log and did not see any gross errors. It looks like this has been a recent problem; from the bug tracker at OpenChrome:
#435 system freeze when X starts initialization 0.2.906 defect somebody new 10/06/12
Although that was the prior version. My presently installed version is xf86-video-openchrome-0.3.0-1.
I'll try to roll the update back and if that is the problem try to file a bug report.

Roll Back to xf86-video-openchrome-0.2.906-1-i686 restores the system. A bug report (FS#30868) was filed and an email sent to the maintainer.

After 10.4.8 Upgrade: "Login Application crashed"

I upgraded to 10.4.8, but since the upgrade installed I am not able to boot:
I get past the grey screen/spinning wheel successfully to the Login Window with the status bar; then I get a blue screen and in 1s intervals the spinning wheel comes up and disappears.
I started in verbose-mode and the last messages I see is that the Login Window Application" starts and then crashes, a log is written for this app (which I can't access, since I can't logon). Then the Login app tries to start again and crashes again and so forth - I have to shut down the laptop or it keeps going that way.
Its possible that the 10.4.8 upgrade installed (maybe) incompletely; I had to leave the installation process, when I came back the machine was shut down. It actually showed first a blinking white led upon startup, not even the grey screen (which is according the support pages a memory problem indication). I pulled out the memory and put it back in, reset PR, then I got at least to the status described here; I started from the OSX disk and repaired disk - no repairs required and no help either.
Any ideas?

Is there a way to expand the text area of the login/lock screen for the warning message?

I put our company's standard warning message in the Security & Privacy system preference ("Show a message when the screen is locked.") and it overflowed the allotted text area for the warning message text on the login screen and lock screens. It seems that the area allows about 250 character messages and I need to provide about 500 characters. Is there any way to expand the text area allotted for this purpose?

Error while upgrading - iPhone4 locked

I just tried to upgrade my iPhone 4 to OS vs. 4.3.4 After downloading and during the install I got a non-descriptive error message and now my iPhone is "locked" with the picture of the iTunes and USB icons on the screen. How do I fix this? Thanks!

Well, the most current version of iOS is 4.3.5. Not sure what you mean by 1.4.3, maybe just a typo. As far as the error, it is necessary to let us know the exact error message to help you try and figure out what happened. With the iPhone connected to iTunes you should be able to do something through iTunes, if not at least a Restore, dependent on the error message. Try disconnecting the iPhone from the computer, close iTunes, restart it and then reconnect the iPhone and see what happens.
You can use this link to check error codes from Apple http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1275 to try and resolve an error you receive. The next possible solution is to remove iTunes and reinstall. Use these instructions to the letter in doing it on a Windows computer http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923. After reinstalling iTunes, try it again.

Selection of usage type for EHP7 SPS02 ERP 6.0 Upgrade

We are planning to upgrade our SAP ECC 6.0 to EHP7 SP02 ERP 6.0, But during MOPZ configuration to generate the side effect report, its prompting to choose at least one technical usage type. I am not able to judge which is the right usage type to our environment. I have checked with functional team and they said our business type is Logistics but in the list logistics not found.

Trying to determine if we need the Java stack for ERP 6.0 upgrade

An issue we have regarding our research of a potential ERP upgrade to 6.0 has to do with the potential requirement to add the Java stack to the WAS engine that support our ERP. This appears significant due to the impact on infrastructure requirements and operational support. Based on the master guide for ERP 6.0, it appears that the following components would require the Java stack or usage type AS-Java:
- Biller Direct 6.0
- Learning Solution LSO (CP) 600
- ESS/MSS -- XSS 6.0
- Extended E-selling Components, XECO 5.0
- Enterprise Portal Content for Business Packages
- XI Content, Elster 2.0
Is this the complete list? Will other components of ERP or ehp's require the Java stack in the future? How likely is it that the Java stack will become a requirement for us to support ERP?

Yes, this is correct if Java Stack is already install but I understand from the question that they do not have Java installed already so if they plan to go to ECC 6.0 ABAP Stack they won´t need to install Java stack before or after upgrade.
They only need to do it´s upgrade to Abap stack to ECC 6.0 and in fact if actual 4.7 is non unicode they won´t need to make it unicode before or after either, just when installing ECC 6.0 SR3 then Unicode is the only way to intall it.
