  • ERP/CRM/HRM in a Java system

For medium-sized organizations that are finding a need to progress towards an 'entry-level' ERP/CRM/HRM solution, where does this solution fit into the different types of technologies?
For example, in a particular enterprise application assume there is an application server that acts as the middleware between web browsers and Java clients, as well as the back-end EJBs, database, etc.
Where would the ERP/CRM/HRM solution fit into this? Would it basically be implemented as EJBs, a database, or are they considered a back-end program?
I've been looking at Compiere, and all I can really tell from its API is that it's a huge bunch of Java classes...but where do they fit into the whole scheme of things, and what parts of your current system would have to connect with it? (e.g. would you access the ERP classes from the servlet, from EJBs, etc...)
I'm just having a really hard time conceptualizing this...
    Thanks.

    Hello,
the magic regarding connection strings is described in chapter 9.1 of the manual coming with the installation of SAP GUI for Java. There is also a <a href="https://forums.sdn.sap.com/click.jspa?searchID=2057281&messageID=3087436">thread</a> availabe discussing this.

  • ERP-CRM-Integration based on business partner concept in ERP

    Hi all,
can someone give me a hint if and how I can integrate the ERP business partner with CRM (we are using CRM7.0) business partner. Actually I have done ERP-CRM-Integration very often before but in former times clients were always using the customer and/or vendor master which was up and downloaded to CRM business partner. In my actual case the customer is using in ERP (ECC6.0 EHP4) also the business partner concept (groupings, roles, etc.). Since pide mapping is based on customer or vedor master (account groups, classification, etc.) and I do not find any documentation I am not sure if and how I can exchange BPs and if it is possible what I have to do for it.
Maybe I can use the object BUPA_MAIN, etc... but how is the logic, is it a prerequisite that groupings are  identical, but what about number ranges, etc???
As you see I do not have a clou. Please advise.
    Thanks a lot

  • Accessing BW/ERP/CRM from portal

Does any one have step by step guides for accessing BW/ERP/CRM from portal?
I would apprciate if you guys can share issues faced and resolutions for accessing them through portal.
    Thanks,
    Anika

    hi
BW/ERP/CRM access from portal is governed by a single concept of single sign on  where actually you integrate them through logon ticket otherwise you can use application integrator component for user mapping
There is step by step guide of BW 3.5 integration with portal  in sdn as well
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/a3/7b583c2439e66fe10000000a114084/frameset.htm.
on similar grounds you will have CRM too
Portal and R3/CRM/BW in different windows domains
    please do not forget points

  • Badi for middleware ERP - CRM

    Hi
We are replicating business partners from ERP to CRM, but we do not want to have the id number to be replicated from the ERP. Does anyone know a Badi that can remove the id number before sending the data to CRM?
    Thanks
    Claus

    Hi Claus,
If you don't want the business partners with the same numbers of ERP system I would simply assign it an internal number range to that BP group, instead of the external number range.
But still if you want to work on it, my suggestion is to manipulate the values send to CRM with a new function module (like COM_BUPA_MWX_BPS_FILL_CENTRAL) and configure it in ERP table COM_BUPA_CALL_FU. This table determines the calls that are made when a business partner bdoc arrives or leaves the ERP system.
Must confess I never tried your purpose but hope that this may help you a little more
    Kind regards,
    Garcia

  • Internal assignment table that maps the ERP & CRM Partner ID's

    Hello Experts,
    In CRM-ISU integration,
If we are maintaining different number range, in which table its maintaining the details of both Business PartnerID's
or how they link each other?
In one document i read this statement.
"There is always an internal assignment table that maps the ERP business partner ID to the corresponding CRM business partner to ensure a consistent data exchange."
    thanks in advance,
    Sreejith

    HI,
In CRM there is a table BUT0ID which stores the ERP business partner ID as ID Number against CRM business partners.
Pass the CRM BP in the Business partner field to get the ERP BP number in the ID number field.

  • Change Account Group (BU_GROUP) in ERP -- CRM replication

    Hi experts,
    We are running CRM 7.02.
Customer has a requirement to change the account group in CRM, between 2 account groups in different number ranges.
They currently do this via XD07 in ERP, however, the changes do not replicate fully to CRM.
(CRMM_BUT_FRG0041-ACCOUNT_GROUP is updated by middleware, but BUT000-BU_GROUP is not)
We are thinking to use BADI BUPA_INBOUND to make an enhancement in CRM that will force the account group to be changed in field BUT000-BU_GROUP.
We understand that the account group will no longer align with the assigned number range.  This is acceptable from customer perspective.
Are there any other issues that we should be concerned about or made aware of ?  Any other customers facing similar requirement / experience ?
    Thanks.

    Hi Charles!
The Account Group is the essential controlling element in the ERP system. In CRM there is no such concept of the account group that controls all important functions as is the case in ERP. Therefore there is no 1:1 mapping of the account group between ERP and CRM. The account group is mapped to the sales classification in CRM. This allows you to specify which sales classification the business partner receives depending on the account group maintained in ERP. This is why you see the change in table CRMM_BUT_FRG0041. You must specify a numbering group for which the new business partners are assigned their new BP ID in CRM. This is what the BU_GROUP field refers to in BUT000, the numbering group and not the account group. So a change in account group will never change the ID of the BP in CRM. Changing the ID of a BP in CRM can have serious inconsistencies. Note 504265 provides details on this and a possible work around. Hope this helps!

  • How to configure the RFC destination of ERP-CRM connection when moving to Q

    Hi Experts,
I set up a ERP sales order and quotation in CRM but under configuration
Customer Relationship Management -->Transactions -->Settings for Sales Transactions -->Define Profile for ERP Sales Transactions
you can only configure one which is i already did in development now we are moving to Quality then next to Prod.
Do you mean we will change this everytime we move to different environment thanks in advanced
    Br,
    Etrafanob

    Hi Etrafanob,
Yes, in each system you will have to change the RFC destination for this as the destination set in your development system will normally be transported through to QA and production. To make the change you will need to contact your basis team and request the system client to be open for configuration changes in transaction SCC4.
    I hope this helps.
    Regards,
    David.

  • Error in replicate created BP in CRM 7.0 to ERP

    Hi you all.
When I create a new BP in CRM, and go to SMW01 the BDOC gives un error, the message is that I didn't fill all required fields.
I've check and the account group that should recieve the BP in ERP don't have in obrigatory fields.
The strange is that when I did the initial load ERP->CRM every thing went fine, and also the delta changes went ok. My problem is only in the creation of new BP in CRM, that should be replicated to ERP.
Can anybody help with some clues?
    Thanks

    Hi Rui,
For me the best way to identify the field(s) that are causing the trouble is to debug the creation of the BP, in the ERP system.
Maybe there you'll find the missing information you need.
If you're willing to give a try, when you create a business partner in CRM the function CRM_UPLOAD_AFTER_MAP_HANDLER calls a remote ERP function called CRM_UPLOAD_TRIGGER.
This function will call another functions that are configured in the system (I think is table CRM_BUPA_CALL_FU). One of them is PI_BP_PROXY_BAPI_CUSTOMER that will start gathering the information and will create the customer in include LVV02F3J.
For me, the best spot to put the break-point is in include LVV02F3J, after the CALL TRANSACTION statement. The error messages will be in T_BDCMSGCOLL parameter, and there maybe you'll find the help you need to find the problem.
    Kind regards,
    Garcia

  • Sales Area determination in follow-up ERP Sales order from CRM opportunity

    Hi Experts,
Iu2019ve configured everything needed for ERP sales Order to be created as follow-up from CRM opportunity.
sales area in CRM opportunity is correctly determined (but division is disabled)
Sales Org : 1000, Distribution Channel: 10 and Division : 01 (Division is not displayed in opportunity)
But when I created ERP sales order as follow-up document from opportunity, system checks for sales area 1000, 10, 00 (This sales area or Division u201800u2019 doesnu2019t exist in either systems ERP / CRM) and gives a error message.
If you have any idea how sales area determination works in follow-up ERP Sales order please share.
your help will be highly appreciated
    Thanks
    Manjushail

    Hi Christian,
If the service order line items are entittled to service contract , at each item level you will get contract info in contract data tab.
when you transfer these items to confirmation , confirmation item contract data will not have contract information. Only when you enter items in confirmation manually then system will pop up window for selection contract and confirmation items get contract information.
    thanks,

  • Career in SAP with no proir experience in ERP

    Hello everybody,
I am BS(Computer science) with 2 years of software development experience in J2EE. Although I do not have any experience with ERP or CRM or Supply Chain Management but whenever I heard people talking about ERP & CRM I really get excited.
So I have decided to move my career towards SAP. Furthermore, I am in Pakistan & Siemens offers some SAP certifications which are :
    <a href="http://www.siemens.com/index.jsp?sdc_p=c135fi1175331lmno1397033pst15uz3&sdc_sid=8060024212&">http://www.siemens.com/index.jsp?sdc_p=c135fi1175331lmno1397033pst15uz3&sdc_sid=8060024212&</a>
After some initial research I found out that SAP in Pakistan is adopted by Manufacturing industry therefore I believe that Siemens Pakistan would be good in ERP- SD training than any other SAP CRM or anything like that.
What do you recommend that how do I start my career in SAP? Either as functional i.e.ERP-SD or technical i.e. Netweaver or ABAP.
    Waiting for your helpful answers.
    Regards,
    Hashir Ahmed

    Many thanks Sai & Vinay.
Yes my experience is with J2EE but I'm ready to let go that.
Furthermore, I am more interested in functional role besides that I am not impatient nor looking for an easy route, Netweaver would be easier for me but do you see some one like me obtaining a good position in ERP-SD with on job training(after certification)?
Furthermore, what is exactly the role of person with Netweaver knowledge? Can I move from Netweaver to functional role if I even start from Netweaver & doing so would benefit me?
    Regards,
    Hashir Ahmed

  • B2B Webshop - Login not recorded in CRM system

    Hi,
We are using CRM E Commerce with ERP Sales Order.  This is the latest offering from SAP and has come only from CRM 7.0 onwards. In this solution u201CERP sales orderu201D is embedded into the CRM Web Channel Web shops for order creation.
When use our ERP logon to get in to the B2B webshop.  The problem we have right now is the login only goes to ERP backend while not in CRM.  We check the ERP last logon date & time in SE16->USR02 table and it's correct while for CRM USR02 table is it not updated.  I just want to know if this is standard that only ERP login is updated knowing that B2B webshop is connecting both in ERP & CRM.
Hoping for someone advise.  Thanks in advance!

    Hi Joe,
In CRM 7.0 with ERP Back end LORD scenario, the logon user is an ECC user always. You will find the relationship between the logon id (T ID) as a contact person and the sold-to party in ECC table - USAPPLREF.
You use CRM system only to maintain your PRODUCT CATALOG, Target Group etc. and make use of them in your SHOPADMIN settings. In this scenario, even you use TRANSACTION TYPE - Z001 directly (without creating it in CRM) in shopadmin.
All these is been controlled through XCM settings where your XCM application is erpcrmstandard and you configure your appplication on erpcrmstandard where your PRIMARY JCO is ECC JCO user.
In this scenario in CRM the user data will not be updated.
    Hope this will help
    Regards
