ERP Integrator 11.1.1.3 config issues

Hi,
I am trying to configure ERPI on 11.1.1.3. I have run into the following issues using the configurations below
1. SQL server 2005 db, windows server 2003: applied patch 01 to enable support fro SQL Server 2005 but no driver in ODI for MS SQL 2005, only 2000. Could not connect to sql database using jdbc driver
2. Oracle db, windows server 2003: Unable to launch ERPI from workspace despite the service running and the rest fo EPM being available
When the Oracle db was used to previously configured source systems were still present, which was very surprising. A reinstall of ERPI was done but this did not clear the source system config. An uninstall was done of ERPI followed by an install using the oracle db. Now, ERPI will not even launch despite the services being available. EPMA and HFM launch from workspace so erpi is the problem.
ODI is fine. WebLogic 9.2 is being used.
Would appreciate any advice.
Thanks,
Nathan

Was the ERPI database migrated from another environment? Is that the source system config you are referring to? The source system configuration is stored in the database, so a re-install of ERPi would not clear this information out. You cannot migrate the database from one environment to another, you need to start with a fresh DB Schema.
There are JDBC Drivers available for SQL Server 2005 which you can download from Microsoft
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/data/aa937724.aspx
Refer to KM Document 951369.1 Stage 1 for information on how to put the drivers in place.

  • Can't See ERP Integrator in Workspace

    Hello,
I have installed and apparently successfully configured ERP Integrator on 11.1.1.3, Windows 2003 R2. Now when I goto workspace -> navigate -> administer I don't see ERP Integrator. Bear in mind that I do not have ODI installed yet, (for various reasons) on this machine. Is this the cause of the issue? I am aware that until I configure ODI I can't really use ERPi, but I just wanted to verify.
Also when I goto the following link : http://machiney:6550/aif/faces/setup/Main.jsp I get a message saying I am not authorized to access this page. I am logged in as administrator.
by the way, I did restart the services and I also tried rebooting the server. Didn't work.
    Any guidance will be appreciated.

    Hello EssbaseApprentice,
Any product that is either installed/configured/deployed via the EPM Configurator AFTER Workspace has been deployed will not be reflected inside of Workspace. This is becaues the Workspace configuration stores static content in an .XML file of the Application tier and is not dynamically driven. You will need to redeply Workspace to have all changes reflected and demonstrated.
Also you can not go directly to most products starting in v11.1.1.3.00 as they will require the SharedServices SSO token to process as most products will not have a direct logon page going into the future. Workspace will be a requirement.
    Thank you,

You can choose a directory local to the ERPi server in the environment.

  • ERP integrator Metadata Mapping

    Hi All,
We are trying to load metadata from our EBS Fund, Project, Location and Object segments to four different dimensions in to the planning application.
    1. When we try to setup the metadata mapping, using ERPIntegrator, we are unable to map it to the desired parent member in the planning dimension.
    2. ERP integrator does not load the metadata hierarchy, its loading either all the leaf members to one parent member, or each summary level member at gen 2 and then all its children at gen3.
Are we missing any key step, where we are unable to replicate the hierarchy in the planning dimensions.

    Hi Rajiv,
Thanks for the reply. sorry we call the ECC DEV as ESR in our environment. Sorry for the confusion. I figured out the solution. I did the config changes in the web shop. We have the text setting in there.
    Thanks,
    Karuna.

  • ERP-integration via middleware

    Hi,
It is possible to create a wbs-element for a campaign element without creating a wbs-element for the campaign when using ERP integration via middleware (automatic on releasing)? We are in addition using the badi for checking on campaign type and tactic.
    Regards Camilla

    Hi,
would not think that they actually need access to your production systems but rather a replica that is as close as possible in all aspects. If access to the production system is required, then set up a totally read only groups and assign the individual integrators to those groups.
There are a couple of ways that the issue of responsibility for interfaces/integration can be handled.
One is to have the Implementer agree to provide the services to do the analysis (requirements and functional) and then to develop, test and resolve any issues from the tests. However, this will require that they be come "experts" in your legacy system and add to the total cost of the implementation of the ERP.
Another is to have your internal IT Department take on the management of this part of the project to include analysis (requirements and functional) and then to develop, test and resolve any issues from the tests. There are some benefits to this. First they have the expertise in the legacy system and second, it will allow them to learn the ERP system more intimately and provide the opportunity to become experts there as well. Some drawbacks may include the learning curve for the new system and its technologies (this can be remedy by bringing in short term technical consultants that have experience in the technologies to help during the development of the interfaces/integrations and provide "training").
One other way is to just bring an "integrator". But, again, the integrator may need to become experts in both systems and this adds a little more to TCO.
No matter what you, or your company, decides to do, remember, the more you do up front (analysis and design) the less that needs to be done on the back side (development and testing) and the easier the project will go.
    Reward points if found helpfull..
    Cheers,
    Chandra Sekhar.

  • ERP integrator Tasks - Data Load Rule

    Hi
We are facing issues with ERP integrator 11.1.2.2.
We don't have some of the options available in in ERP integrator Data Load Rule Task.
Earlier we have the Add option in Data Load Rule under Source Filter -- Segment Values and all ERP integrator task screens are different as earlier.
Please find attached Screen shots of Current and Earlier.
Actually we have applied path for HFM .
    Now its showing
    HFM version --11.1.2.2.303.3959
    ERP integrator - 11.1.2.2.0.0
After applied path this issue is coming.
Please guide us what we have to do to resolve this issue.

  • ERP integrator target applications greyed out

    Hi all,
I'm configuring the ERP integrator within EMPA (to use with FDM later) but when registering target applications three of the four are greyed out.
I have tried to delete and refresh them, re-deploy and so on but they stay greyed out.
Can anyone tell me how to re-activate the target applications so i can select them again?
    Thanks,
    Marc

    Hi All,
Did any of you had success in configuring FDM with ERPI. I am trying to configure FDM+ERPI for extracting data from Oracle Financials R12 and load it into an EPMA Planning application. When i go onto create a Metadata Rule and click on the Add Dimension button, the next page gives an error stating: There are no more dimensions remaining to be mapped under this application. and the dimension drop down in the target application area remains empty. Any idea why this happens? My Hyperion version is 11.1.1.3. I also downloaded and applied latest available patch of ERPI but no results.

  • FDM mapping in ERP Integrator

    Hi, all of you
I'm now thinking of the way to connect Oracle EBS 12.1.1 and Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, Fusion Edition 11.1.1.3.0 with ERP Integrator.
In the introduction section in ERPI admin guide, ERPI is mentioned as a module of FDM.
However, as far as I read the later sections in the guide, FDM is needed only if the user wants to use "FDM mapping."
Is my understanding correct, and EBS and HFM is connected only with ERPI (without FDM)?
And, if you know the advantage of using FDM mapping (I couldn't understand, actually), please tell me.
    Thanks in advance
    Yoshiki

    FDM is not required.
The same type of mappings can be done in ERPI and FDM. For example 3 accounts in the g/l for coffee, soda, snacks map to one in HFM account.
Using ERPI you will need more in the way of IT skill sets where FDM is constructed more for the Finance user to maintain.
Not that it is that difficult, but moreover you want to buy FDM because the internal controls available would cost you a lot more to script, test, validate, and implement outside of this packaged solution.

  • ERP Integrator Source Informations

    Hi All,
I would like to know whether ERP Integrator will support the External feed file(from any other source system) to Hyperion Applications. ERP Integrator will support all ORACLE ERP & HR Modules, but in terms of external system likes Customized ERPs it will support or not. I understood from the below content, it will support the external system through Open Interface Adapter. I couldn't find any document on Open Interface Adapter.
Anyone having the experience on the above scenario, Please share your experience and let me know is there related document or URL..
I got the below content from the Oracle documents:
ERP Integrator supports general ledger data for:
    Oracle E-Business Suite 11i
    Oracle E-Business Suite 12
    Oracle Fusion Financials
    PeopleSoft Enterprise Financial Management 9.0
    PeopleSoft Enterprise Financial Management 9.1
    PeopleSoft Commitment Control
    SAP ERP Financial
    JD Edwards General Ledger system
ERP Integrator supports human resource data for:
    PeopleSoft Human Capital Management 9.0
Integration includes data load and drill through. The integration is supported for the following SAP ERP Financial modules:
    General Ledger
    Profit Center
    Cost Center
In addition ERP Integrator provides support for Open Interface Adapter. The Open Interface Adapter allows you to import data from any source system using the interface table.
    Thanks,
    PC

    Hi All,
Got the Answer, The ERP Integrator will support external feeds files through FDM as well as they introduce Open Interface Adapter for flat files in new version(11.1.2.2). Please refer FDM ERP I read me document for more details. Currently i dont have any information for Open Interface Adapter. I will let you post the same once i got the reference materials.
Thank you for all your support.... :)
    Thanks,

  • SCADA - XMII - ERP integrations through SAP PI

    Hi Experts,
I have an integration scenario comprising of a SCADA system & SAP ECC. Could anybody suggest some document / send reference links on SCADA - XMII - ERP integrations through SAP PI.
    Useful response would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Santhosh

    SCADA-XMII integration
Scada system should always remain connected to some Historian system. You can directly connect to SCADA system to xMII using vendor specific UDS (Universal Data Servers) Like Citect UDS ...
If vendor specific UDS is not available in MII then you can make it possible if the SCADA system is OPC complaint, through OPC UDS DA, but it provides only current data without any mata data information.
As a robust business practice it is not recommended to use direct SCADA connectivity to xMII, it should go through some Historian( Citect, Wonderware, Siemens...many more) so XMII will be able to get all plant floor operations data in history & current modes.
    XMII-ERP Integration
XMII supports IDOC & BAPI communication with ERP system using various SAP connectors available in XMII as in SAP BC, SAP JCO.
Specific to PI Sheet, you can download various control receipe, process orders data using IDocs.
BAPIs can be used to do "process order confirmations" back to ERP system and make changes in process data.
Let me know if you would like to know about specific SCADA system- xMII connectivity or specific activity in PI.
    Thanks

  • Target registration in ERP Integrator in the Workspace

    Hi,
I'm trying to integrate HFM 11.1.1.3 with E-Business suite R12 using ERP Integrator. Actually, I want to load journal entries from EBS in HFM.
I've successfully registered the source (EBS) and I filled all the ODI details, but I can't register the target (HFM) as the "Target Application" field is empty although I've created application in hfm and in workspace.
    I'd appreciate any help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Ahmed.

  • Loading Alias from EBS to planning through erp integrator

    Hi all,
Can anybody tell me how to load the member properties from EBS to Hyperion Planning using ERP integrator. My trial only loaded the members with few default properties.
My planning application is classic. And i used mapping type as "single segment". Didnt find any detailed options there to define the member properties.
    Thanks

    Hello,
I do not believe storage type is available.
The Alias is based on the languages you have defined when you setup your applications inside of ERPi. Not all "aliases" will come over; and only the basic information is actually stored as a description. I would suggest you review the ERPi Admin guide for your release.
Please review the documentation completely and ensure you understand it. The most current documentation can be found at the following URL.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/erpi_admin.pdf
Information retrieved from the source can be found on Page 31.
Information about aliases can be found on Page 34.

  • FDM and ERP Integrator Module

I am trying to select the correct ledger from the Oracle E-Business Suite. Within the ERP Integrator area in EPMA, I am trying to select the ledger, when I select the entity for integration.
Select Source Accounting Entity for Integration screen returns no rows.
    Any advice?
I was thinking it has to do something with ODI and specifying which Oracle E-Business Suite segments/books to pull data from. Has anyone seen a setting for a Oracle EBS segment/book in the topology manager?

    Hello,
FDM is supported to Oracle RAC but not the ERP Integrator. If you see the 11.1.1.3 support matrix oracle has updated on the last tab telling that FDM will support. ERP Integrator is a new product and it was never designed or tested to be on Oracle RAC. This is what the information we got from the Oracle support when we were doing our in house testing for 11.1.1.3
    Thanks
