ERP integrator Metadata Mapping

Hi All,
We are trying to load metadata from our EBS Fund, Project, Location and Object segments to four different dimensions in to the planning application.
1. When we try to setup the metadata mapping, using ERPIntegrator, we are unable to map it to the desired parent member in the planning dimension.
2. ERP integrator does not load the metadata hierarchy, its loading either all the leaf members to one parent member, or each summary level member at gen 2 and then all its children at gen3.
Are we missing any key step, where we are unable to replicate the hierarchy in the planning dimensions.

Thanks for the reply. sorry we call the ECC DEV as ESR in our environment. Sorry for the confusion. I figured out the solution. I did the config changes in the web shop. We have the text setting in there.

suppose source(EBS) Account to Target(planning) Account,in this the EBS member codes and planning memeber codes are different ,

Thanks for your help. I hit against another issue though.
On clicking on Open Source document, an error page opens up with an error - HTTP: 400 Bad Request.
On checking the properties for this page I noticed that the address for the url is
res://ieframe.dll/http_400.htm#http://localhost:6550/workspace/index.jsp
My workspace is on port 80.
6550 is the ERPI port.
The url should have read localhost/workspace/index.jsp
Is there some settign that I am missing.

FDM mapping in ERP Integrator

Hi, all of you
I'm now thinking of the way to connect Oracle EBS 12.1.1 and Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, Fusion Edition 11.1.1.3.0 with ERP Integrator.
In the introduction section in ERPI admin guide, ERPI is mentioned as a module of FDM.
However, as far as I read the later sections in the guide, FDM is needed only if the user wants to use "FDM mapping."
Is my understanding correct, and EBS and HFM is connected only with ERPI (without FDM)?
And, if you know the advantage of using FDM mapping (I couldn't understand, actually), please tell me.

FDM is not required.
The same type of mappings can be done in ERPI and FDM. For example 3 accounts in the g/l for coffee, soda, snacks map to one in HFM account.
Using ERPI you will need more in the way of IT skill sets where FDM is constructed more for the Finance user to maintain.
Not that it is that difficult, but moreover you want to buy FDM because the internal controls available would cost you a lot more to script, test, validate, and implement outside of this packaged solution.

Unable to refresh metadata rules in ERP Integrator

Hi All,
While refreshing Metadata for particular location in ERP integrator the status goes failed . After sometimes it been refresh for the same location without any error messages.

ERP integrator target applications greyed out

Hi all,
I'm configuring the ERP integrator within EMPA (to use with FDM later) but when registering target applications three of the four are greyed out.
I have tried to delete and refresh them, re-deploy and so on but they stay greyed out.
Can anyone tell me how to re-activate the target applications so i can select them again?

Did any of you had success in configuring FDM with ERPI. I am trying to configure FDM+ERPI for extracting data from Oracle Financials R12 and load it into an EPMA Planning application. When i go onto create a Metadata Rule and click on the Add Dimension button, the next page gives an error stating: There are no more dimensions remaining to be mapped under this application. and the dimension drop down in the target application area remains empty. Any idea why this happens? My Hyperion version is 11.1.1.3. I also downloaded and applied latest available patch of ERPI but no results.

Target registration in ERP Integrator in the Workspace

Hi,
I'm trying to integrate HFM 11.1.1.3 with E-Business suite R12 using ERP Integrator. Actually, I want to load journal entries from EBS in HFM.
I've successfully registered the source (EBS) and I filled all the ODI details, but I can't register the target (HFM) as the "Target Application" field is empty although I've created application in hfm and in workspace.
I'd appreciate any help.

Loading Alias from EBS to planning through erp integrator

Hi all,
Can anybody tell me how to load the member properties from EBS to Hyperion Planning using ERP integrator. My trial only loaded the members with few default properties.
My planning application is classic. And i used mapping type as "single segment". Didnt find any detailed options there to define the member properties.

I do not believe storage type is available.
The Alias is based on the languages you have defined when you setup your applications inside of ERPi. Not all "aliases" will come over; and only the basic information is actually stored as a description. I would suggest you review the ERPi Admin guide for your release.

How Enabling ERP Integrator Drill Through from a Grid

Incidentally we had been trying to use Essbase studio as an option.But there are 2 oints that we are trying to investigate.
1) Can we bypass deployment of data and metadata everytime through Essbase studio after the initial outline is delpoyed? In the system architecture the relational tables are populated using ODI. We would like to load the data and metadata through ODI into the cube. Eeven then can we implement drill thru bypassing deployment through Essbase Studio?
2) If Essbase studio is imperative for drill through then what are the batch automation options for deployment through Essbase studio? Ideally the option should be after the relational tables are populated through ODI then the Essbase deployment should be invoked and batch script should load the data and metadata through Essbase Studio.
Please advise.

ERP INTEGRATOR and FDM

Hi All
We have new requirement our Source is PeopleSoft from that we want to load data to essbase and planning using ERP Integrator
Previously we use to get text files from Peoplesoft and we use to load it FDM to Planing & Essbase
What are prerequisites to connect to Peoplesoft -> ERP Integrator -> FDM
Do we require ODI to connect to Peoplesoft ?
Can anyone explain me the flow

1. Hyperion 11.1.2.2 Essbase ,Planning and FDM
2.ODI 11g
3.Now we want to Connect to Peoplesoft using ODI -> ERPi -> FDM ->Essbase and Planning
One is connecting ERPi & FDM through the use of the appropriate adapter, and additional metadata information.
If possible can u explain the above clearly

ESO/ERP Integration for Service Items?

Hello experts,
In an ESO/ERP integrated system, can data from Service master in the ERP also be used to create RFQ's and Auctions in ESO?
Are there any special considerations for Service Items in such an integrated environment or would they be treated as regular material master items inside ESO?

Hi Reshma
You are right, currently Item type D is nto supported for the ERP - ESO implementation for Document types RFQ, PR, PO that are created from the MSA or the RFx award from SAP ES.
However, you can still try to create the interface using some Z programs if you are pushed to the limit
What you can do?
1) Copy the Program for the BBP_ESI package model it to suit methods that call the Service line into the PR with Item category D - if you are successful here, you can check with the available list of API's on the ES side to check where in the XML extract you can actually incorporate the Service lines
2) Create a Proxy using the existing interface delivered for RFQ or PR from ECC to SAP ES RFx, in PI you can define the Service line logic so that the Payloads in PI can enable this transfer
3) The XML that is generated for this interface must be in Sync with what all RFx expects to process it as a service line, since there is no classification on the SAP ES side for addressing service lines separately.
4) You can also extend the XPRess functionality, since SAP ES views Service and print requests service lines, see if you can somehow integrate creation of an XPress draft from a Service PR in ECC, that too should be possible.
5) If all approaches fail, its better to integrate the SRM SoCo to push the Service lines into SAP ES RFx draft, below would be the approach.

u2022 All SRM Bid Invitations to populate in a new screen developed, this screen will have all bid invitations lined up with a check box next to them, the Bid Invitation can be selected and pushed to SAP E-Sourcing

u2022MAP / Cross MAP the data structures and pass the data
u2022 Push the Bid Invitation into SAP E-Sourcing as RFx Draft
u2022 Once the Bid Invitation is pushed into the SAP ESO application, it cannot be modified in SRM

Integrating Google Maps in Oracle Apex and 404 Not found error page

Currently using APEX version 3.2.0.00.27 installed in OracleXE version 10.2.0.1.0. Have been attempting to recreate some examples of Google Maps within APEX. Found a nice set of examples here that build up to what I'm looking to ultimately do by incorporating google maps into APEX:

Unfortunatly, I'm getting the "404 Not Found, Not found, The requested URL /apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server" page when I try to recreate the "Map with Search" example. I'd like to see if this really works using the html input and button tags in the body/region source versus creating APEX items to pass the address values to the javascript in the html header of the apex page. I'm thinking it's just an html thing within APEX that you have to do it a certain way, but I haven't managed to hit that magic combination. have gone to the google maps api v2 and looked at the html they use (it's what these examples with apex are based on) and tried that just to see. Same 404 result.
I've seen suggestions at this forum and elsewhere that the 404 error is due to a bug. have been to metalink, and really haven't seen anything that spells out what the bug is and how to patch it or work around it. May be I just haven't found the right note/doc yet. have seen suggestions to change something associated with the Anonymous account that APEX uses. Have turned on authentication in the application to use an APEX user account with a logon page to the application. Still get the 404. Although, I have not adjusted anything elsewhere, like a DADS config file, because the apex/xe configuration is using the plsql gateway. Not sure of any procedure for changing settings on anonymous account when using plsql gateway.
Open to suggestions. APEX 3.2 is customer version, so going to 4 may not be an option yet. XE, on the other hand, can certainly be swapped for an 11g version standard or enterprise edition if need be. I don't think this is a db version problem though. I think it's more on the APEX side of things.
Anyway, any help or suggestions are appreciated.

ERP Integrator Source Informations

I would like to know whether ERP Integrator will support the External feed file(from any other source system) to Hyperion Applications. ERP Integrator will support all ORACLE ERP & HR Modules, but in terms of external system likes Customized ERPs it will support or not. I understood from the below content, it will support the external system through Open Interface Adapter. I couldn't find any document on Open Interface Adapter.

Got the Answer, The ERP Integrator will support external feeds files through FDM as well as they introduce Open Interface Adapter for flat files in new version(11.1.2.2). Please refer FDM ERP I read me document for more details. Currently i dont have any information for Open Interface Adapter. I will let you post the same once i got the reference materials.

Metadata Mapping doesn't function

I read the manual and followed it step by step. I'm able to create maps but no information actually maps. I've tried several different maps with no success, but most important to me is the ability to map FCP logging info or quicktime data (reel # & timecode start/stop) to some sort of searchable/listable field. Here's a specific:
Created a custom field called "Reel #"
Mapped the following:
From Field: Reel # (Custom Metadata)
To Field: Reel (Final Cut Pro Metadata)
Priority: 3
Two-Way Mapping unchecked
I have also tried the reverse of that and a few different priority levels. Even if I assign the Reel # field to an FCP element I can't get it to translate. It seems like if this info is embedded into the quicktime file, I should be able to map to QT metadata but I can't find any QT fields in the mapper. Anyone had any success with this or in making the FCP/QT metadata more useful in general?

Many thanks to Marc and Nicholas. Through your advice and testing I have successfully mapped the fields below only on log and transfer material. It would be so much more useful if this worked on everything, especially if Final Cut Pro logging within the browser would also translate.
One important discovery about all this: the mapping will only work on an asset's initial scan into FCSvr. If the file was already an asset before you created your metadata maps, those maps will not translate to the asset unless you delete the asset and rescan (full, not add only) the device. Also, if a metadata group assigned to the asset doesn't contain the fields you are mapping to and you decide to add those fields to the group later, you will have to delete the asset and scan the device again. Looks like heavy forethought is the general rule for FCSvr because you can't easily correct or adapt to new situations later!

From: reel (dynamic Metadata) To: Reel # (Custom Metadata) Priority: 3

Biggest disappointment: I haven't found a way to map starting timecode of the file to any fields. That's a big one.

Over query limit while integrating google maps

I am getting over query limit error when i want to display more than 11 records while integrating google maps in obiee. I can display upto 11 records in the map.If i increase the row limit its throwing the error.
Error: Geocode was not succesfull for the following reason: Over_query_limit
How to overcome this error,in order to fetch more than 11 records in the map?

This gives the count as per the state in the google map, if we click a state it will show us the count, but its holding good only for 11 records in the map

I haven't yet used the tag. It looks quite interesting.
I had a look at the
cf_googleMap
Documentation out of curiosity. Apparently, putting
<cf_googlemapshow/> at the end, just before the closing body
tag, solves a number of Javascript issues.
