ERP6 IDES EHP4 fresh installation

Hi,
We need to Install ERP6.0 IDES with EHP4 fresh installation.I have downloaded all the IDES software
My Company's Application Components>SAP ERP-> SAP ERP ENHANCE PACKAGE> EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 / NW7.01
IDES Version-->Windows Server
My question is can I directly Install ERP6.0 IDES with EHP4 with Installation master 'sapint.exe' ? Or do i need to go through solution manager down xml file and etc..
advice the steps..

The answer is simple if you have the correct files from SAP you will be able to install EnhP 4 via sapinst.exe. You should get a hold of the Master Guides and Installation Documents as they would have anwsered this question for ya. No offense!! Good luck with the installation

Please run prerequisite test on the system for checking any parameter settings left out.
After completion of prerequisite test, please go the the result and try to rectify which are red.
If every thing is ok in prerequisite test, start installation.
As per the error information, there is problem with your java installation.

task- the update process failed and subsequent efforts failed again. The "error log"
is copied below. Any idea what is going on? For what it's worth, this doesn't really

What is the ehp4 ready installation procedure.I have fresh system and ehp4 ready dvd's?what is the flow?
i have read where it said
install ehp4 ready(nw component will be in 7.01 and application component will be in 600) + download patches for ehp4 from mopz + install ehp4 with the patches using sapepi.In this after ehp4 ready installation,if i update any one component say sap_appl to 604 is ok? is system is called ehp4 system at this stage? or do i need to update ehp4 for all application components like ea_appl,finbasis,ea-finserv etc?

I'm new to trying to work with Solaris 10, and to a lot of Solaris in general, so while I'd normally be happy to do a lot of reading (and have tried searching for answers on google a good deal already), I'm having a problem after a fresh installation of Solaris 10 on a Sparc T3-1 server that I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction to solve.

The installer did seem to reboot at the end. Does the installer handle those 'reboot client' cases itself?

Oracle 10g RMAN is not working in RHEL 4 after fresh installation

I downloaded Oracle 10g R2 from OTN at home for self study.
I have problem with the RMAN after fresh installation Oracle 10g in RedHat Enterprise Linux AS 4. (x86)
Everything seems works fine, database mounted including EM, SQLPlus, iSQLPlus etc.
But when I attempt to execute RMAN command on the terminal, nothing is happening. No RMAN prompt, No error message!
I ran the "relink all" command but no helps.
Please advice.

I guess you are a common Linux 'victim', you don't invoke Oracle's rman, but a Linux executable:

Check your PATH variable, you may move $ORACLE_HOME/bin to the top.

It is Command+r or for the online internet system it is Command+option/Alt+r keys. Then you use Disk Utility to erase the macintosh partition, from the built in recovery hd, or you can repartition the drive as one partition from the online system.
To actually get to the online internet system you have to hold that key combo down until you see a globe on the screen. Otherwise it will just boot from the built in recovery hd on the internal drive.

[SOLVED] Pacman is broken on fresh installation

I've just performed a fresh installation that seemed to go fine, following the Official Arch Linux Install Guide. However, I get the following during my first login:

[root@myhost ~]# pacman -Sy

error: local database version is too old
error: failed to init transaction (database is incorrect version)
try running pacman-db-upgrade
error: transaction already initiated

I realize the error recommends that I run pacman-db-upgrade, but it seems very out-of-the-ordinary to encounter this error after having installed fresh with all default options. Could someone give me a hand?

What exactly do you mean by "failing"? Please post the errors you get.
But first, grab a fresh mirrorlist http://www.archlinux.org/mirrorlist/ and try to update again.
I agree with picking an updated mirror. If packages are "failing," then the mirrors may be out of sync. Also, the list of mirrors included on the ISO CD may be out of date.

[SOLVED] Cannot install packages during a fresh installation

Hi all,
I'm pretty sure I'm missing something from the wiki/forums, but I'm at a loss here...
I am going through a fresh installation of Arch. I am using AIF and stopped at step 4 "Prepare hard drive(s)". I intend to install on btrfs, so I went to a different console via ALT-F2, logged in as root and tried installing gptfdisk via "pacman -S gptfdisk". I got a few errors such as:
- error: could not open file /var/lib/pacman/sync/core.db: Failed to open '/var lib/pacman/sync/core.db'
(the rest of the errors pertain to the other available repositories)
I made sure to choose core and extras in AIF's step 1: "Select source".
What completely obvious thing am I missing here...?

ORA-27102 IN FRESH INSTALLATION

Hi Forum
I have a problem with the fresh installation my environment is:
Solaris10 and Oracle DB10g R2 and the box have 4Gb RAM
The installation can`t continue and stop in the Database creation 2% with the error message ora-27102, the manual quick installation say:

To view the current values of the resource control, enter the following commands:
# id -p // to verify the project id
uid=0(root) gid=0(root) projid=1 (user.root)
# prctl -n project.max-shm-memory -i project user.root
# prctl -n project.max-sem-ids -i project user.root
If you must change any of the current values, then:
To modify the value of max-shm-memory to 6 GB:
# prctl -n project.max-shm-memory -v 6gb -r -i project user.root

But when I change the shm-memory and reboot the box, the value is the same default 998MB.
Please could anybody help me to resolve this problem
