Err = -3253 when iTunes downloading songs from iCloud

Hi,
I've had this exact same problem with iTunes 11 in Windows and now I am seeing the same in iTunes on OS X(10.8).  Can anyone with a similar experience share an insight and hopefully a solution?
Thanks!

iCloud doesn't store music.  I assume you are using itunes match, a different service.
Try posting in the iTunes Match forum, you'll probably find more knowledgeable folks there.

  • ITunes Match unable to download songs from iCloud issue

I have a MacBook Pro running Mavericks 10.9.4 and iTunes 11.3.1. I am having repeated issues with downloading songs from iCloud to my MBP. I have reset Match numerous times using the steps located here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4054.
Then it works for a short time and I am able to download some songs and then suddenly I will get the pinwheel, the songs in iCloud will all show greyed out and then I am no longer able to download anymore. Repeat process.
I am about to try a test tethering to my iPhone's internet service to see if that improves things. So far, the only threads I have found on this topic have been related to Mountain Lion. So I'm not sure if this is a different issue I am seeing.
I also tried resetting the System Configuration to see if it would fix, but no luck: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4160355?start=90&tstart=0
Is anyone else experiencing this and what is the issue? Can it be fixed?

    Hi,
I don't think that you have a similar issue to OP.

That means that iTunes Match is stripping out the Sample Rate when it uploads some tracks (even variable within albums) and then it gets stuck when you try to play the track.
    Apple needs to fix this.
Match does not strip out the Sample Rate. If tracks are matched, it shows the standard sample rate of 44,100 but unknown when tracks are uploaded (probably because Apple does not capture this on such tracks). If you have an iCloud status of "Waiting" and a blank sample rate, this suggests that the match / upload process was not completed.
If you have not already solved your problem, I suggest that you delete those tracks and then read them to your iTunes library. Once you have matched or uploaded them, you can delete from your hard drive but not the cloud.

  • Unable to download song from iCloud

After purchasing songs from Itunes, I receive the following error message when trying to download songs from iCloud - "you do not have the priviledge to make changes."  My itunes library is currently housed on an external hard drive.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

my first thought is if you have recently authorized/deauthorized any other computers. which requires a wait time.
other troubleshoots might be if you accidently switching your external harddrive to read only.
let me know, i'll try helping you troubleshoot.

  • How to download songs from icloud before i can copy to ipod

need assistant how to download songs from icloud before i can copy music to ipod. i have downloaded itunes/i cloud. but have this problem downloading the music from i cloud.  can someone please help me?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
In order to copy songs to your iPod, first you need to download the song you want from iTunes. If it was already purchased in the iTunes Store, follow the steps for iTunes on a PC or Mac > http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519

  • When i download songs from i tunes to i pod some songs dont play or they skip songs or they make 2 copies of songs  what to do

when i download songs from i tunes library to i pod  some songs dont play or they skip songs  or they make 2 copies of songs  what to do

    *Skipping songs*
The iPod seems to fail to play all of the occasional track that iTunes, and indeed other PMPs, are happy to play. There is probably some minor technical error in the internal structure of the file which is normally ignored by other playback software but causes the Classic to bail out.
You may like to try scanning the files with MP3 Validator which can find & fix some internal MP3 errors.
Some users have also suggested that completely removing all id3 tags and then replacing the information can be a solution. This can be achieved in iTunes by selecting an affected track, right/option clicking and using the option Convert id3 tags > None. Since some files may mistakenly have more than one tag you may need to repeat this action. Once you have confirmed that no tag is present you can replace the tag information using Convert id3 tags > V2.3 (I believe it is recommended to avoid using V2.4).
Personally I have found files for which these solutions don't work. In this case the workaround is either to re-rip the tracks or get iTunes to re-encode the file, e.g. convert AAC to MP3 or vice versa and sync the newly encoded file to the iPod instead. Because transcoding will cause a loss of fidelity you should keep your original file so that if a future iPod firmware resolves this issue you can put your original files back onto the iPod.

  • Cannot play/download songs from iCloud to iTunes

I just purchased a new MacBook. When I sign into iTunes with my apple id, all of my songs appear, however I am not able to play them or download them from iCloud. The iCloud icons and all text are all light gray, as opposed to their usual bold gray color.
    Thanks.

in case anyone else has this problem I wanted to update with the solution. For clarity, this problem had nothing to do with iTunes Match. I just was unable to play or download any music. All I did was quit iTunes and Restart my computer and then all of my music was there and all is working fine.

  • Can't download songs from iCloud in Canada, purchased from Hong Kong iTune Store

I have an Hong kong apple account. Now I'm in Canada, and I bought a song on iTune store. It was downloaded to my iCloud but I can't get that song from iCloud to my Mac.. Why is that so?? Is that related to the regions I am staying right now?

    Hello holi890
Try signing out of your iTunes account and deauthorize. Once that is done sign in and Authorize the computer to see if that resolves the issue. If it still doing the same thing, then check out the second article to troubleshoot access to the iTunes Store.

  • Question about re-downloading songs from iCloud?

Let's say I modified the volume of one of my purchased tracks from my iTunes library using Volume Adjustment and I accidentally deleted that song. If I re-download that song from the Cloud, will the changes I made to that track still be there?
    Sorry, noob here.

I'm sure you'd have to redo any changes. Some properties are stored in the file tags, others in the library database. For properties that are stored in tags you can remove the track from the library, then add it back again from local storage and such changes are remembered. For library only properties, or if redownloading from the store, once the track is deleted those changes are gone. If you subscribe to iTunes Match then, presumably, some of the more ephemeral properties might get stored in your Match account and might survive when you delete and redownload. I don't have Match so I can't tell.

  • HT204406 Downloading songs from Icloud

    Hi,
Trying to transfer purchases from Icloud onto my computor to then transfer onto my Ipod but am having trouble with a few songs. They worked on my old Iphone 4s but now in Icloud 3 songs just skip straight away and another one plays for 2 seconds and then skips as well. Not sure what to do here??

There is no guarantee that any song will always be available for download.
This is one of the many reasons that it is so important to keep everything on your computer and always keep a backup copy of your computer.
If you believe that there is an error, then contact iTunes support.

  • Downloaded song from icloud but song missing still

Bought a song on iphone.  Acted like it downloaded.  It does NOT show in music app on iphone.  Song DOES show as a purchased song on icloud.  It allows me to redownload the song and acts like it is successful but the song never shows in music app.  Tried rebooting but it still acts the same.  Multiple attempts at downloads of the same song but the song never shows in music app.  All other music does show in music app.

Try redownloading it in iTunes and syncing it to your phone.

  • SOLUTION! Remove downloaded songs from iCloud to iDevice

I converted my iPhone from being packed with music to iCloud to free up all that wonderful space. But I realized in time it would quickly fill up again with all those nasty downloads. That's OK for things I play over and over but I figured in time I would want to weed out some of the songs.
Based on numerous threads in Apple Discussions and elsewhere on the Internet, many others are unsure of how to do this, too.
    SIMPLE SOLUTION FOUND!
On your iDevice go to Settings-->Music and set "Show All Music" to OFF
Now return to the Music App and only music you have download will show. Then it is a simple matter so Swipe "Delete" songs that will fill up your iPhone/iPad/iPod
(Don't forget to go back to Settings and re-set "Show All Music" to ON again)

Music does not get stored in iCloud.
You can either delete the song by swiping on it and tapping delete, or unsync the songs you don't want using iTunes by unchecking the songs then doing a sync.
