hi can anyone help please...I cant download songs from iTunes...error 3259 keeps coming up....keeps saying I havent got an internet connection(which I have) or internet connection timed out.....any suggestions really appreciated thanks.........

Possibly it is your firewall preventing access.
Try allowing itunes in both the windows firewall and any other AV/Security software installed on your computer.

I have Iphone4 Factory-unlock from Etisalat (Dubai-UAE) and when trying to upgrade my IOS to 4.3.3 it always gives me error -3259 (err=-3259), any help. (F.I: My current IOS4.3 and Itunes 10.2 are all orginal from Apple)

As mentioned, i bought this phone from Etisalat (Dubai-UAE based operator) and i never face a issue perviously on updating an IOS, this time after downloading IOS 4.3.3 I always get a error (it says Network issue) with Number Err= -3259 and never lets me update the IOS on my Iphone 4. My Iphone is completly original (Meaning, not jail breaked) and its using Itunes 10.2.2. The reason i want to update is becuase after updating the current installed IOS (4.3.2) the battery life is really bad and when i want to restore my Iphone4, it wants to download the updated IOS software (4.3.3) and when trying to update its gives me error all the time and does not let me update or install it.
Any help and update on how to fix this issue.

You can try the standard troubleshooting but you likley have a hardware issue.
1. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove apps from Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card to remove it from the list
- Press the home button when done.
4. Restore with your backup.
5. Restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

Im Unable to Upgrade to IOS5 (From 3GS) Err -3259..can any once help me pls

When Im trying to Upgrade from IOS 4.3 to IOS 5 .......after completing the total download of the file (668 MB) it is showing the Err-3259

I was able to download the file manually, but I had to resume the download 3 times.
I am using ATT Uverse's DNS. I have also tried Google DNS and OpenDNS in the past.
None of them have helped with Apple's file download issues.
Again, this is an Apple issue. I can download large files (> 500mb) from all over the net without issue...except for files from Apple.

Sellective Songs Timed Out / stopped (err = -3259)

I can download some iTunes w/ no problems, but certain songs keep giving me problems. I just can not get them to download. I buy the song and it will time out. I get a popup error that says "There was a problem downloading "Name of Song" The nework connection timed out." Under status it says "stopped (err = -3259)". It's really frustrating because not all of the songs I buy do this, only certain ones. I can exit iTunes, go to the Downloads section, pull the songs up, and try to resume; but they just error out again.
This is my work computer and I'm leary of messing w/ settings and firewalls because I don't have much knowledge of what I'm doing. Can someone please help me? The more detailed the instructions the better.

when iphone not plugged in can still seem to 'resume' the download in itunes -> store -> downloads -> iPhone software update. Still having same problem though... managed to get as far as 15Mb, thats it.
Virgin Broadband 3G (Optus 3G) which is known to be flaky (# of drop-outs) but why wouldn't itunes/apple have a download manager that allows downloads to keep downloading during internet connection short interupts. If I click 'pause' in the downloads screen, it goes back to 0Mb downloaded... so resume/pause doesn't work. Have probably tried over 20 times now...

In non-technical terms - it means iTunes asked for a file to be downloaded but it did not get a response and so it (iTunes) decided to stop asking. iTunes tells you err = 3259.
The reason this happens may be because the host computer where the file is stored is busy - too busy to respond. Or perhaps the internet is busy and although the host server responds, the response does not get to your iTunes quickly enough. Or perhaps your ISP is busy, or your internet link from your home is busy.
The solution is to try again, but if everyone else in your household is using the internet at the same time as you, it may fail again. If it's a busy time in your part of the world (Friday night after a week at work, or an important online event) which makes the internet busy... need I say more.
If trying again doesn't work, try again the next day.

Firewire Port not working, URGENT help please¡¡¡

Hello People, i´ve just got a new Mac Mini last week, and i´ve been trying to get my Alesis MasterControl audio interface, and is just a complete mess.
This happened right after i´ve upgraded to 10.8.3 so i don´t know, the weird thing is that if i connect my old iBook to the Mac Mini the FW800 port works, but everytime i connect the audio interface, nothing happens, also the drivers from alesis, are up to date. i first thought about the port of the Mixer went bad, but it has 2 and non of them works, also thought about the cable but the same cable works when i connect my iBook, and the mixer is not bus powered, it has it´s own power supply.
Needless to say i´ve already done the usual reset PRAM, turn of the Mac unplugged for 30 hour to reset the bus. etc.

Itunes podcast downloading error (err = -3259)

Hello,
I am using itunes with my IPOD since 2 years. all fine so far. Now, since a few weeks, some podcasts don`t get downloaded anymore. I always receive the error message (err = -3259) and thats it. Does anyone else have the same problem? I also tried a different timing and deleted the podcast and renewed it from itunes, but no change. I am already desperate.... and want to have the content updated for sure.

I've been having the same problem for about two weeks now. Before then, I had no problem downloading multiple podcasts. Now, only one downloads fine while all the rest time out. What is really odd is that they are all about the same size (even the one that I can download successfully). I've been searching for a solution online, but to no avail. I even disabled Norton and Windows' firewall, but that did not help at all. Completely frustrating...

Servlet not inserting into Access Databse. help please

I have the following code which is inserting three fields into a database. The database name is contacts.mdb, and the table is contacts. I have setup the ODBC connection on the server, of which I have both IIS and Tomcat running. The form.html that I am accessing is on the tomcat server root and that code is below as well. After hitting the submit button on the form I get forwarded to the servlet, and the page is blank. However, when I open the database, no updates have occured. Please help. Does anyone know how to solve this tiresome problem, please!?? The update is downloaded upto 723.5MB, and is required upto 723,6MB, then the error message pops out! Tnx.

I have a quick wifi connection (Mac shows it as about 35 megabits) but I couldn't get the 5.0.1 OTA to work, I had to do it via cable to my computer's iTunes - and as I was already on iOS 5 it was only a small download, basically the same size as the OTA size.
As the original poster is talking about a 730 meg download then I assume that they are still on iOS 4.3.5 or below and can therefore only download via their computer's iTunes - you need to be on iOS 5+ before you get the OTA option.

Getting (err = -3259)

I've been getting (err = -3259) when trying to download some podcasts. The odd thing is that they download slowly for a few minutes then it gives me the error. Also I've tried shutting down my anti-virus and the windows firewall but it doesn't help. I've also unchecked simultaneous downloads also to no avail. Finally, I am using the newest version of iTunes. Some podcasts though work fine. Any Suggestions?

Updating 3GS to new iOS 4 Software (err=3259)

Has anyone seen this error message? My download starts and then says there is a network problem and (err=3259) comes up on the download description. There doesnt seem to be a problem with my network, but I am not sure what to look for either. Any suggestions? and or What is this error message?
