Err -36 on download? Support express lane broken.

On a recent iTunes Store download the progess got to essentially 100% (as far as I can see), but then "err -36" popped up.
Everytime I restart this download, it seems to keep the existing download data and ends up with the same error after a pause.
There was a problem with my machine the first time I attempted download, which required a reboot, but iTunes had continued the download after this.
I suspect that part of the download data is corrupt, and perhaps the final validation of the file is failing each time.
Playing the media that has been downloaded (it shows in the iTunes library with a little exclaimation mark warning icon) works until about 90% through, so I guess that supports the corrupt data theory.
Anyway, I now have a corrupt file and a download state that is stuck. I figured I would use Apple's heretofore excellent iTunes support to get a fix.
However, navigating to the support for iTunes Store Purchases, Billing and Redemption, and then into the "Express Lane" support feature ends up with a blank page at the second step "Issue Description". I'm using Safari btw. So, I'm screwed that way too.
Does anyone know a quick escape from my -36 error that I can try? I'm loathe to delete the file completely as it's a paid download.

Sorry, but according to Apple, iTunes Store: All Sales Are Final
You can avoid accidental purchases.
From the iTunes menu bar click iTunes / Preferences then select the Parental tab.
Select: iTunes Store
Click OK.

This is not really a question but just a highlight. I have been for 20 minutes on the phone through the express lane support and I have been told that iCloud DO NOT stores music or video and cannot be used to pushes any music you bought through iTunes !

I downloaded Dragon Express and think that it did not completely complete the download. However, it says that it has been installed and my account has been charged 50.00. However, when I click on the icon, it will not open. I have tried everything from restarting, trashing the app, but it continues to tell me that I cna't trash the app because it is open. I called apple support and they worked with me for about 30 minutes until they finally told me that the call had to end regardless of the fact that after all of their efforts, the problem was not resolved. He gave me a link to get a refund and said it was easy to navigate however, it led me nowhere. So now I am stuck with a worthless app, that does not work and a 50.00 bill to pay because I can't get support or link support to get a refund and even if I could get a refund I still have the Dragon express on my computer that does not work!!! HELP! I don't know how the app can be open when even support could not figure it out! When I restart, the finder window opens where it never did before.

Well first of all this is a public forum, so keep that in mind. The users here generally can not look up your case numbers.

Unfortunately, their case indexing is on a different database, and they will not be able to look up your case number either. However, their support is free, and despite it may take a few bounces of emails back and forth, there is a decent chance they may be able to get a solution.
Or... you can still try to shoot the **** with us here, which is Ok as well. But you'll have to keep in mind we can't look up your case numbers.
By the way, the link for a refund, I think is for the same link I just gave you, so on second though, mabye it's best to just go there.

Express Lane not compatible with Firefox 5

Though not strictly a Support Communities topic, thought I'd report that when I use Firefox 5.0.1 to enter an Express Lane incident, I get as far as the "Issue Description" tab. At that point, the text area to enter the issue description is blank. This doesn't happen with Safari or Chrome.

Express Lane is for registered users of Apple products that are still under warranty (not for third party applications like Firefox).

HT2573 I can't get safari to load the apple express lane web page post mountain lion upgrade ? Other pages now also will not load

Post the lion upgrade safari will now not load some pages....apple express lane start page for one....other secure sites such as web payments sites too. Also I can not get AirPlay mirroring on safari.....which works fine on the ipad.
I have tried downloading and installing the update twice....no change.
Any ideas !

Serial number invalid on Express Lane

When I go to Express Lane and copy paste in my serial number, it says that my serial number is invalid. I'm sure it's the right number because I copy pasted it from "About This Mac". What's wrong?

Boot camp and windows 7 but window wont find usb to download support drivers

Used Boot Camp to partition, downloaded support onto USB zip drive, installed Windows 7 fine I thought, but in Windows 7 now it will not find my USB so i can't download the support drivers from my zip drive back into Windows. No internet found either (probably because i can't download the support drivers). HELP QUICKLY please!!!

Boot Camp in Windows has nothing to do with Boot Camp in OS X. So, there was no need for you to reinstall Leopard.
Since you're using Leopard, your Leopard disc will have the 2.xx drivers, which, (apparently) will not install in Windows 7.
You'll need to get a hold of the 3.0 drivers. The 3.1 update downloaded from the Apple site won't install without 3.0 drivers installed.

The first version of CSSCAN was shipped with 8.1.7 of the database on all Oracle RDBMS platforms. Due to customer demands, backports were made available for 8.1.6 (NT and Solaris) and 8.0.6 (Solaris) also.
We decided to make these pre-8.1.7 CSSCAN available for download on OTN as well.
The download links are not broken. There is a policy in place for Oracle employees, they are restricted from downloading between 6am and 6pm US-PST on business days.

Where can I download support documentation for Adobe CS2 programs?

Adobe makes it ridiculously hard for people who still have CS2 to find or download support documentation for CS2 programs from their site! I need to download support documentation for Illustrator and Photoshop CS2. Where? Or is it just not available on Adobe.com anymore?

What sort of support information are you looking to download? The
manuals are installed on your own system, and I don't think the tech
support stuff is deleted - so what is it that you need?
