What does err=-50 when downloading TV episodes mean?
I have a MacBook Pro w/8 GB RAM running Mac OS 10.6.8 and iTunes 10.5.1. When I have ordered certain TV episodes, I get a err=-50 while downloading which stops the downloading. Unfortunately, numbered errors mean much to programmers but nothing to users. Thank you.
Unfortunately it isn't a very meaningful error in terms of diagnosing the issue.

Error code -50 is a generic code meaning there's some sort of communication difficulty.
There's many computers and connections between you and those movies, and between your network box and where they are on your computer.
You could try a few general things such as rebooting the computer, or trying the download later. Are these going to an external drive? -

Whenever I try to download Premiere Elements 11, after putting in my code and hitting the download button, I get an error from https://red.protexis.net/ saying "The URL you are trying to reach is not a valid URL. Why? Three different extensions assigned to the same photo when downloaded to Elements 8
Downloaded about 200 photos the other day from my Cannon EOS xti.to Elements 8. This has never happened before, but when I went to the Organizer.
each photo was downloaded (or multiplied in Elements) shows each photo 3 times, side by side, with three different extentions.
one was JPEG, which I use. The other two where .CR2 and .xme or something close

Can I go into the Organizer, high light the unwanted ext, delete all without deleting the .jpg photos I have already moved to the album? There are still more . jpg in the Organizer that I have not yet moved

Invalid checksum when downloading & installing elements 10 trial

however, the "answer" provided there appears to be irrelevant. first and foremost, I returned to the computer to find this message, so I didn't "force" it to stop extracting. when I restarted the computer and then the download assistant, I was unable to re-download because it's already on the computer, got the checksum error again, and the download assistant has been stuck in extracting and can't even be force quit.
not giving me the warm fuzzies here peeps...
and because of my work schedule, I won't have any more time to waste on this until next weekend. time to buy from another company perhaps? this is ridiculous.

I added a NAS a few months ago, and use that to store my iTunes library. Since then, whenever I have app store updates, I usually get ~50-75% rate of receiving an error message when auto-downloading updates. The process runs through, but many of the apps receive this error, and many other apps go through the entire downloading process, but iTunes still shows them as needing updates afterward, requiring another full download.
I'm fairly certain this has to do with my NAS, but am hoping someone can help me understand what settings/configuration could help to minimize the occurrence of this issue.Try deleting the partial cached downloads in the iTunes media folder.

I've purchased and downloaded other small TV shows and clips before, and I often purchase music from the iTunes store, but for some reason I cannot download The Office Season 3. I purchased the season pass earlier today.
The error I'm getting is 3259, network connection timed out, but I know that is not the case.

CaseyI am also getting the error. I have a 54 Mbps connection, have Windows firewall on but iTunes as an exception, and use AVG for virus protection. iTunes worked great until last week.
On another forum, it said to restart the router ... but I'm not sure how to do that. Please help!

NikkiI did try to uninstall and reinstall. It messed up my computer. I had to "RESTORE" from the prior days backup. This was not helpful at all. I'm used to losing all my stuff when I connect to iTunes, that's a whole other issue, but now I'm completely banned from any updates to my phone at all. Geeze.......
