ERR_SHMPLATFORMMISMATCH error occuring on an active system
Hi
One of our databases has started to log the following error:
ERR_DBMSRV_NOSTART: Could not start DBM server.
ERR_SHMNOTAVAILABLE: Shared memory not available
ERR_SHMPLATFORMMISMATCH: Shared Memory from different platform Unknown (0x00) (expected WIN32, AMD64)
The database is still running (and has been for a couple of weeks prior to the start of the error) but we can't connect with the DBMGui and DBMcli. All SQL connections are OK (SQLCli and SAP).
Two questions:
1) How is the best way to restart the system??? I thought, stop maxdb and all other maxdb services. Remove the shm and shi files (posted in another thread) and then restart.
2) What may have caused this error??
Regards
Doug
Hi Roland
I have updated the call.
For the forum, Roland suggested that we rename the 2 shared memory files (SID.dbm.shm and SID.dbm.shm) located in the e:\sapdb\data\wrk directory while the system was still up.
I was then able to connect to the various dbmsrv connections (DBMGui, Perl MaxDB, dbmcli etc). No downtime was required.
Thanks
Doug

An error occured in the source system
My process chain has been doing FULL load for COPA data in a ODS. It failed today saying
Diagnosis
An error occurred in the source system.
System response
Caller 09 contains an error message.
Further analysis:
The error occurred in Extractor .
Refer to the error message.
When I click on indiv. Message tab I get "Job in source system terminated - Requests is set to red"
What should I do to resolve the problem. For Source system R3 :
This particular problem "Job terminated in the source System" occurs when there are long running jobs in the backend.
In the monitor tab,
Environment --> Job Overview --> In the source system.
After logging into the source system, click execute
Check the status of the job i.e. active or failed.
Check the job log for the same.
If its " DBIF_SQL_..... " sort of error, then in this case, delete the request from the data target and reload again.
The load would be successful
Caller 09 error normally occurs when the source from which the datasource is picking up data may be in use on the R3 side.
Hope this helps!!!!!!! -

Error occurred in the source system
Hi,
I am receiving the below error while loading data from APO system
Error message from the source system
Diagnosis
An error occurred in the source system.
System response
Caller 09 contains an error message.
Further analysis:
The error occurred in Extractor .
Refer to the error message.
Procedure
How you remove the error depends on the error message.
Note
If the source system is a Client Workstation, then it is possible that the file that you wanted to load was being edited at the time of the data request. Make sure that the file is in the specified directory, that it is not being processed at the moment, and restart the request.
******On further investigating the error message I get the following Diagnosis and Resolution details.*****
Diagnosis
The sequence for creating time series in LiveCache is:
1. Characteristic value combinations are created which in turn create
planning object in the system
2. The combination of version, planning area, and planning object is
initialized, creating time series in LiveCache. This combination is
so to speak the LiveCache anchor.
This error occurs if
o New characteristic value combinatons have been created for the
master palnning object structure that is assigned to the planning
area, but the time series objects were not created.
System response
Processing cannot continue.
Procedure
There are two methods of creating time series objects for individual
characteristic value combinations:
a) Re-initialize the version without deleting the time series
objects beforehand.
b) Execute the report program /SAPAPO/TS_LCM_PLOB_DELTA_SYNC.
In general SAP recommend that when you generate new characteristic value
combinations, you set the Create time series objects indicator. This
prevents this error from occurring.
Please let me know what I need to do to rectify this error. Please send me the steps to overcome this error.
Regards,
TysonHi tyson,
Has it run good before? if yes, try to restore the source system.
by right click on the source system then choose restore.
It will require you to fill in some information about RFC destination. contact with your basis to have the information about: Target host, Sys no, and Sys ID of your APO system.
hope it help. Give point if you see its helpful.

"An error occured with the AppleShare system"
Hi,
I'm running a shell script that fetchs files on an ftp server each 5 minutes. When an item is available it's copied on an AFP Server (AppleShare IP v6 or Windows 2000 depending of the name of the file). The shell script also check for the shares to be mounted and if not mount them. I also use an AppleScript (on idle) to dispatch the files in folders on the shares.
All runs perfectly but sometime - may be once or twice a day or once per week - the message An error occures with the AppleShare system (this is my translation of the french message Une erreur est survenue avec le système AppleShare) is displayed on the Finder preventing the AppleScript to do its work.
Any idea of how to resolve the problem or to trap it in the AppleScript ?

Didier from France.

"An error occurred while creating the system proxy" after upgrade to 11.2
Hi, I have just moved from 11.1 release to 11.2 release but this fault is preventing me from using 11.2
If i try to access System Administration Panels like "Users" or "SMF Services" I get two error messages and can not proceed.
If I roll back to the previous BE, (11.1) it all works fine).
An error occurred while creating the system proxy
Navigation Failed. The first component of the address, "vp" is not a valid control.
The error is mentioned here https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg09791.html but I can not see the link content and it was a long time ago.
Not sure if it is relevant, but i am behing a pfsense/squid proxy - but have this server IP excluded/set to bypass the proxy.
Also, not sure if it is relevant but here is the output from the following:
nas@nas:~$ svcprop svc:/application/pkg/system-repository:default | grep _proxy
config/http_proxy astring ""
config/https_proxy astring ""
Any help appreciated.Ensure that the "solaris-desktop" package group is correctly installed :
# pkg info solaris-desktop
# for i in `pkg contents -m solaris-desktop | grep depend | awk '{print $2}' | awk -F= '{print $2}'`; do pkg list $i; done
Ensure that svc:/system/rad:local is online :
# svcs svc:/system/rad:local
Check for any errors in rad service :
# svcs -Lv svc:/system/rad:local
Once the above is checked, does the error persists after a reboot ? -

Error occured in the Source system while loading mater data
hi all
While loadng the master data info package. The request is getting failed with error occured in the source system.
error message says "<b>if the source system is a Client Workstation, then it is possible that the file that was to be loaded was being edited at the time of the data request. Make sure that the file is in the specified directory and is not being edited, and restart the request</b>".
I had tried repeating the Request but again It is getting failed.

PriyaHello Priya
If u r loading thru flat file
1. Check the correct path in infopackage
2. Check if it is opened,if it is then close it and run package again
If loading thru R/3
1. Check DS is not opened in change mode
2. Check if RSA3 is able to extract data...if it is then check in RSA7 and chk IDOC status...
3. Are you running init..then make sure no document is posted in R/3 side...
Thanks

"Disk read error occurred" cannot even load System Recovery
Hello,
yesterday I powered on my computer, and it was almost froze, with only the mouse moving and even the task manager not showing up when called.
I first tried to make it go in standby, as I thought it was some program which didnt start as planned. After I closed the screen , the screen went black, but the pc continued to run. I then pressed the power button, shutting the system the hard way.
After that, I powered back the pc, which now only showed "Disk read error occurred, press ctrl+alt+del to restart" and obviously this wasnt the solution. I tried resetting the BIOS, then running the diagnostics on f2: it ALWAYS passes the test the first time, then if i try to run the diagnostics again, it says "NOT INSTALLED". I tried running the system recovery on f11, but the same "disk read error" appears.
I-ve already confirmed the problem lies in the hard disk itself {hitachi 750gb}, having plugged it in another notebook with an hitachi hard disk and still showing the same problem, while the other hard disk booted just fine in my HP.
I tried with a win7 cd, both recovering and installing a new version, but they both kept frozen for about 1 hour and did nothing.
I then made a bootable USB with Trinity Recovery Kit and after a quick diagnostic, it said boot partition has "unclean" windows files and tried fixing the problem, without success. I-m now writing from a bootable USB linux distro, because i cannot find a bootable iso oh hitachi recovery program, what should I do?
Is it possible the hard disk failed so bad for an uncommon closure of the system? It looks to me like some data got corrupted.
Please help me, as I-m an academy student and I use the PC for almost everything.
Thank you.I-ve booted Boot Repair 64bit and tried repairing the boot section... i even checked the boot infos and printed an info file, can someone answer what the actual FOG is happening here?
