Merci d'avance !

Hello,
Thx to help me with my problem.
I have the last version of the software, downloaded yesterday to be sure it is not an issue because of a version out of date.
Here are (in french) the two messages that the software gives me as an final answer just before closing the application :
Font Capture: AcroRd32.exe - Image incorrecte
Font Capture: AcroRd32.exe - Erreur d’application
L’exception Exception logicielle inconnue (0xc06d007e) s’est produite dans l’application à l’emplacement 0x75222f71.
I tryed to install other Adobe products, as trial, but it also fails when I launch them, so I uninstalled everything.
I am sure my computer is not infected, I just scanned everything yesterday with a professional, cleaned it up with pre_scan, malwarebytes, Ccleaner, etc. Nothing ! So the pb is probably the atmlib.dll, which I cannot replace because of administration rights of TrustedInstaller... I tryed to give myself the rights back, but it doesn't work...
What should I do ?

     Dear Adobe people ...
This is a user-to-user forum; you do not address Adobe staff here.
The original post was about an installation on a beta version of Windows 7, which was not supported at the time.
If you have a problem with a different version of Adobe Reader on a different version of Windows 7, please open a new topic.
I'd gladly address Adobe staff directly about it if they didn't make it so difficult to do so but there are notices galore on their website restricting the ways of doing so for this particular product. That said, I accept that they may not review these posts and act on bugs found (although why is beyond me, I know if I was a developer of software and I wanted it to be top quality, I'd be looking everywhere I can for sources of bugs having been found and I certainly wouldn't make it any more difficult than an ordinary bug submission on any other software to report it).
It's clear to me that the problem originally posted about that shows up in Win 7 RC, is still present in the latest software and popping its ugly head up under Win 7 RTM. If they'd nipped it in the bud back then it should be fixed by now - that's annoying. I've been using online forums for a long time and I know it's always a good idea to search for a solution or similar thread and post in that if present, rather than opening an entirely new thread. As the bug is the same, the Adobe software version is very similar and the OS is just an earlier non-RTM version and there are no set forums for bugs within specific RTM vs RC/Beta OS's I posted here.
I'm not going to start a new thread because if, as you say there's no addressing of Adobe Staff here (and you haven't mentioned you have inside connections and will pass it on) what's the point? I will make one phonecall to Abobe in an effort to report this but there needs to be more open ways of bug reporting, even if it is a free product.

  • Acrobat Reader 9.4 downloads files rather than opening in Firefox 3.6.12

Clicking on a pdf file link in Firefox causes the file to download rather than opening.
I've tried checking and unchecking the "open in browser" box in Reader without success.
In looking at the Applications list in FIrefox Tools>Options>Applications, there is no listing for Adobe Acrobat Document, and I can' t find a way to add that Application. There are two entries for Adobe Acrobat Forms Document and one for Adobe Acrobat XML Data Package. Changing the Action for them doesn't resolve the problem.
Looking at the Control Panel, there is only one instance of Acrobat Reader, that being 9.4.0. I've also tried using the Repair option in Reader.
    I'm running XP3 Pro Service Pack 3.
    Any suggestions?
    thanks

You can set the pref plugin.expose_full_path to true on the about:config page to see the full path of plugins on the about:plugins page.
It is best not to leave that pref set to true as it exposes that full path to web servers, so reset that pref to false after you are done with the about:plugins page.
You can open about:plugins and about:config via the location bar, like you open a website (about: is a special protocol to access some build-in pages).

Clearly Acrobat Reader has a problem.  If you point me at the symbols for AcroRd32 I'll help debug it for you since I can repro it easily.

    Here are few solutions:
    1. You can configure firefox to open pdf in external application like acroread. This way plugin problem is bypassed. - I use it this way. It looks to be faster this way.
    2. "C:\nppdf32Log\debuglog.txt" is created every time in directory from where you executed firefox/opera/other browser and opened any pdf file in browser. So this is not only home directory. You can fix this problem by yourself by hex editing nppdf.so file and replacing C:\nppdf32Log\debuglog.txt path in this file with /dev/null path. See my post here for detailed instructions: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1253800

  • Adobe Acrobat reader 3.01

I have a very old version of acrobat reader. When trying to uninstall I get this error message:
Unable to locate the installation log file 'C:\acrobat3\reader\deisL1.isu'. Uninstallation will not continue.
I cannot file file referred yo either on my system or at Adobe? How can I remove please.
Also I used Windows Install Cleanup to remove Reader 7.0.8 as I was getting 'this patch could not be opened' error. I see it is still in my program files.
1.Is it safe to just delete?
2.When I try I get error message 'pdfshell.dll access denied'
I have reader 8 installed and all seems ok but would like to clean up my system by removing older versions above.
    Ken

I'm not sure. Acrobat 3 worked in Windows 3.1 as well as Windows 95. You
can probably delete the application and manually clean up the win.ini
and the sys.ini. If you do not know how to do this, then you'd best
    leave it alone.

  • Acrobat Reader 9.1 ActiveX control problems

We have an application written in VB.NET 2005 which displays a PDF file using embedded ActiveX control from Acrobat Reader (using AcroPDF.dll).
The code to open the file is very simple:
    Me.AxAcroPDF1.LoadFile(_path)
The application was compiled on the machine that had Acrobat Reader 8 installed and distributed. The users also had Acrobat 8 installed.
Some of the users upgraded to Acrobat 9.1. I understand that it shouldn't really matter as the ActiveX control from 9.1 should be backward compatible.
Yet some users cannot open the file and receive the following error message:
"Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component"
Some other users can open the file but have the following message when closing the application (which calls Me.AxAcroPDF1.Dispose() ):
"The instruction at "0x0700609c" referenced memory at "0x00000014". The memory could not be "read"."
What can cause those problems? How can I fix them?

OK, no one responsed to my questions but I found answers for them so I thought I might put them here for those interested.
As for "HRESULT E_FAIL" message, all that was wrong was the "Display PDF in browser" option in Adobe Reader preferences. It needs to be ticked. A bit weird but considering that it uses the same OCX in a web browser, it makes some sense.
As for the memory issues message, I need to unload libraries manually before exiting the application (as suggested in some other thread in this forum):
    <DllImport("ole32.dll")> _
    Friend Shared Sub CoFreeUnusedLibraries()
    End Sub
    Me .AxAcroPDF1.Dispose()UnmanagedCode.CoFreeUnusedLibraries()

  • Software exception in Acrobat Reader

I have Windows XP Media Center Edition SP2. Whenever I open Acrobat Reader 11.0.03, or open a pdf file in it, a window appears that says, "The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000409) occurred in the application at location 0x004120cb.  This does not seem to interfere with viewing or printing, but if I click OK to close the window, Acrobat Reader closes too.  This doesn't render the reader unusable, but it is annoying.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, with the same result.  Anyone know why this is happening?

    A few things to try...
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html
But you wrote that you cannot open Adobe Reader by itself, so try to disable Protected Mode via the registry.  Download, unzip, then run the attached registry script.

    Suerte de nuevo.

  • NJawin & acrobat reader 7

    Hi,
I've to display a pdf file (stored as an array of bytes) and jump to a certain named destination. After concluding that adobes pdf viewer nicely does the job, but was last developped in the stone ages, I followed the road of com bridging. I must say a pretty difficult road for a newby, either ending up with deployment-based components or opensource projects without any examples dealing with acrobat reader (almost all deal with excel or word, or am I missing something?). I finally found it, NJawin (great package!), including an example regarding acrobat reader. My questions:
    - Does anyone have experience with activex for acrobat reader 7. The download doesn't include a tlb file. The NJawin example doesn't work with 7, I installed reader 6 and that one works fine. (btw, no problems using jdk 1.5)
    - Is there any documentation regarding the usage of the methods in the acrobat tlb file. On the acrobat site I could only find a guide regarding Interapplication Communication (a chapter on com), but I couldn't relate the methods to the generated ones by NJawin;
    - Am I correct in saying that it is not possible to display an a pdf based on a array of bytes? loadFile works nice, and of course I can store the bytes in a temp location, but I rather do this without the temp files.
    kind regards,
    Christiaan

If Acrobat Reader supports OLE Automation then it has TLB in some application module (DLL or EXE). Try also to find registration of its TLB in the registry. Type library can have other extension, like OCA, OLB, etc.

  • Récupérer page active du PlugIn Acrobat Reader en JS

    Bonjour,
