BO XI R2 - Random connection problem

I installed a Citrix server dedicated for BO training. One user is domain admin. Seven users are users without special rights.
Everybody can connect to the universe and can work correctly using deski.
But approximatively every hours, the 7 users (not domain admin) can't run report. While the admin can do it.
Error message :
Erreur liée à la connexion ou au SQL : (DA0005)
Exception: DBD, [Pilote ODBC Microsoft Access] Impossible d'utiliser '(Inconnu)'; fichier en cours d'utilisation.State: HY000
15 minutes later everybody can work without any action...
And this, approximatively every hours.
Very difficult for a good training.

I bought 15 licenses. 5 licenses available.
For training everyone used the same identifier. Is this a problem?
There is no protection on the linked database.
What surprises me is that everything works properly, and suddenly the connection is no longer possible.
The connection recovery without intervention from me a few minutes later.
As if a service stopped and relaunched himself.

I have a connexion via Oracle SQL Developper that works fine to an Oracle database.
I should like to write an interface via an office tool, probably Ms-Access, to that database.
I could create an ODBC connexion in the user DSN in the administration tools of Windows (XP Pro), and the test button gives me a message that says the connection is successful.
Now, when I try to create a linked table to Oracle in the Access base, I am invited to type the password (saving the password will come afterwards in the order of importance), and then an error message tells me :

The 2 first lines could be translated like that :
ODBC -- the call failed
ORA-12154: TNS : the connection identificator that was given could not be resolved.
So, I searched for the number of the error, and as an answer I got this :

I had made two attempts to install the .Net driver (including Oracle Provider for OLE DB 11.2.0.1.0), as during the first one I saw "installation suspended", and I had time to click on abort before understanding this was normal.
So, I have copied TNSNAMES.ORA to the directory
C:\app\(my name)\product\11.2.0\client_2\Network\Admin
I deleted folder C:\app\(my name)\product\11.2.0\client_1
as this seems to be duplicated.
I am afraid I still get the same results, so if somebody has a clear idea about this, it will be welcomed.

Bingo ! This was the correct thing to verify.
This morning I begun by creating a linked table to the Oracle base, and it ran without any difficulty. I was even invited to check a box to save the password.
So, this is what I guess : when SQL Developper is not used during a certain time, the connection is reinitialized, you have to close the product and reopen it. I wonder whether the account of authorized connections, at a time, would not fail to be reinitialized when doing that, thus preventing to open further connections. SQL developper can open its connection again, but other products then fail to open theirs.
It seams to be a path to explore.
I wonder whether I am supposed to close the topic : I could create my linked tables, nevertheless probably it would be interesting to have an in-depth view of how to reinitialize a connection properly when a time-out prevents it to run any more.
Anyway this seems necessary to answer user13502634's question.
Any idea about what documentation to read about it ?

Webi document prompts order from Java SDK does not refresh correctly?

I'm developping a standalone command-line Java program which will schedule a report with custom prompt values.
I am having a problem with Webi prompts ordering acquired from the SDK.
We are running BO XI R2 SP4 under Windows on Tomcat servers.
Here is the problem:
I have a Webi report called "Articles Racines" in a "Tests SDK" directory.
This report uses two prompts named "Type Article :" and "Code Marque :" (in this order).
Java SDK (code below) returns the right prompts in the right order.
Now, in Infoview, I modify the report in order to change the order of the prompts (in the "Properties" tab) making "Code Marque :" the first and "Type Article :" the second one and save the changes.
When I run the report, prompt order has changed but the prompts retrieved from the Java SDK are still in the old order.
I noticed that if I update the name of both prompts, the prompts retrieved from the SDK now are in the right order (with the updated names).
Am I doing something wrong? Is it a known issue?

Here's the reason why:
Web Intelligence document prompting is handled properly if you open the doc using the ReportEngine Java (REBean) SDK.
When you set prompts and schedule, you'd first open the doc using REBean, set the prompts, then copy over the prompt values you've set to the IWebi you're scheduling using the PromptsUtil.populateWebiPrompts(...,...) helper method.
So the InfoObject IWebi doesn't know about the actual ordering of the prompts in the document itself - it's just receiving the prompts in order as it's fed from PromptsUtil.
It's not recommended to assume that the IWebi.getPrompts() will return a non-empty collection. The Web Intellligence document must be first opened in ReportEngine and the prompting values set using PromptsUtil to fill the collection.

Multiple Oracle Connexions In A Script

I am actually encounter some problems with my oracle connexions.
I need to have multiple opened connexions with differents user logons on a same database in a script .
When I configure the second connexion, I could no more make request on the first one which reference the new connexion....
In fact the problem can be described with the code below :

How to work with ResultSet!

I an mew to java programming and I have a small project to do!
Basically I have to connect to a database make a select query and display it in a JTable!
The code to connect to make the table was provided by the teacher, I just added a connection to this class and used it! the resultset is being populated when I run the query! the problem is that when the class(Table) reaches resultSet.beforeFirst(); it breaks!
I can write

Take a car as an example. You can remove your car's radio and replace it with another one. When you pull the radio out, you don't find the tires are attached to it!
Suppose you were designing a new car door window assembly, say one that senses obstructions so as not to decapitate kids! You may need to know the specs for the door, but won't need the actual door in order to design and test your window, let alone the car itself.
My rule of thumb for a decent design is: can I test pieces separately? For example, can I test the database code without using GUI code?
And stop for a minute. How does one "test" code? It's tempting at first to test code manually, like you are the end user, but that quickly becomes unwieldy. The proper way to test parts (unit testing) is to write testing code. Then it's easy to rerun the tests whenever you make changes:

As a starting point, I would define a class that represents one row of data from the database. This class is used to bridge between the database and the GUI, and as such should be independent of either one.
Your database component can have select methods that return List<YourRowObject>, and your GUI takes the same list. Then you can test each separately.

The error message most likely occurs due to incorrect setup of the CLASSPATH environment variable.
Can you ask the customer to check whether he can access the database through JDBC with the following java program ?

Bon, le truc c'est que j'arrive à faire un live 5 minutes maximum et ensuite je vois que sur le site de Twitch l'image se fige, je ne vois pas de message d'erreur ou de déconnexion dans les logs...
J'utilise CamTwist.
Et je voulais AUSSI savoir quelle config utiliser ?
Mon Mac book air : Processeur à 1,3 GHz intel core i5 ; 8Go de RAM 1600MHz DDR3
Des idées ? Vous avez besoin de quelles autres informations ?

Please update us when FMLE OSX is deployed. BTW, I get that the server market is dominated by LINUX/WINDOWS and this is a FMS add on. But, my shops creative workflow is Mac based for obvious reasons. Encoding is part of our editing workflow and thus needs to be mac based. Throw us a bone please.

Problème apps Facebook

Bonjour, quand je veux accéder a l apps Facebook je dois aller dans réglage et quand je tape mon mot de passe il s affiche "erreur lors de la connexion, impossible de communiquer avec le serveur" que faire pour accéder a l apps sans devoir utiliser Safari pour aller sur Facebook? D avance merci!

Although I am a dev by trade, the device was not dev unlocked.
I ended up calling VZW support this morning. We went through the typical reboots, *228, etc. I was then passed on to HTC. We tried a few things but eventually it was determined that a factory reset was required.
Fortunately, it was pretty painless getting things up and running again. Although I don't want to have to do this every few months.
