Error (006) in Nokia Asha 200

Hello there,
Am getting this error whenever Iam trying to browse.
I got the right GPRS settings;got them automatically from my Mobile Service Provider.
Bought a data package(MBS) for browsing but whenever I try to browse using the Nokia Browser,
I get this error ;Please check your connection and try again. (006)
Did a soft reset and re-got GPRS settings but still all in vain.
What should I do?

Make sure that your access point is correct, call your customer care from a different number so that they can assist you in finding whats wrong with the phone.
Or
If you know the access point correctly then note it down and add a custom access point in personal config settings in settings and add access point name in bearer settings-packet data access pt and add the same acceas point name into connectivity-packet data-packet data settings-edit access point-packet data acc pt.
Activate both access points in connectivity as well as in confuguratuon and everything should work fine.

Nokia Asha 200 Error 12052 on software update

Am getting an error message 12052 i have trie to update my software 4 times now. Am so frustrated

Are you trying to update the software of the phone using Nokia Suite? Nokia Suite is not compatible with Nokia Asha 200: http://www.nokia.com/global/support/nokia-suite-specifications/
You can try updating the software of the phone using the in-device software updater. You can go to Settings > Device > Device Updates > Download Device Software.

Why there is no new update for Nokia Asha 200(dual sim) after V12.04.
It is about to be 1 year..!!!
And after the last update all contacts are messed up.. It's not showing alphabetically. Everything is shuffled and Many of them are not visible in search also..

And all of a sudden 'Nokia Asha' has became a synonym to Nokia's Asha touchscreen devices..Why this ignorance towards QWERTY phones???

I guess it worked..Here is what i did..explaining step by step for anyone's future reference.
Open Nokia PC suite in your PC.
Connect your Nokia Asha 200 and select Nokia Suite in phone.
Click on Back up icon(top left) in PC suite.
Select 'Backup the desired phone contents to a backup file which is saved on the PC'
Select only 'Contacts' and select where you wanna save the file.
Create a backup.
It will take few minutes .Once it is finished, then close the 'Nokia content copier'
Open Contacts in Nokia PC Suite.
Go to Edit -> Select All -> Delete.
Once everything is deleted, close down Contacts. Open the Back up(Nokia content copier) again.
Select Restore the desired phone contents from a backup file to your phone.
Select the saved file and click the next arrow below.
It will take few mintes to restore the backup. The phone will restart automatically after the process.
Once it is restarted, you are done. !
Enjoy the corrected contact book.

Please could you try to perform a soft reset on your device using the code *#7780# security code 12345 by default if prompted. It is best to create a back up on nokia suite before performing the soft reset, you will not lose any data however it will reset your device settings to factory conditions.
If it is still not working, please try and remove all your profiles from your social app, restart your device and re-sync them.
Let us know how you get on and feel free to post any other questions you may have.

NOKIA ASHA 200 Conflicting Appliction Issue (Nokia...

Hi Nokia,
when i updated the Nokia Browser on my phone Nokia Asha 200, after successfull updatation, it is showing Conflicting application error and i can not access Nokia Browser.
I have tried soft and hard reset both, but the problem remains.
The software version in my phone is V 11.81
Please help!
(This being a common problem in this phone, there has been no help or update provided by Nokia yet, its very sad )
This problem also arrised when i installed a game from nokia store, but then i deleted and re-installed the game. But as we all know we cannot delete nokia browser and reinstall it from Nokia Store.

We are working on having a solution for this (fairly common) problem, that the Nokia browser may break after the over-the-air browser update.
In the meantime the only solution are to take the phone to a Nokia Care service point for reflashing or to use e.g. Opera Mini instead.

Since yesterday "social" application on my nokia asha 200 dose not work.. when i tring to open it phome display that " Applicion error" phone proved me only "exit" option.. so now i cant login to my facebook account on socia application. can you help me to solve this problem??

have you checked if there are any firmware updates avaiklable for your device via Nokia suite on your PC? if there are any, please updaet to the latest versiojn offered. if not, then try re-installing your current firmware or if that doesn't work, then Restore your phone to factory settings.

All other apps like opera mini,social,shazam,game gift cant work

We'd like to know what exactly is happening to your phone. As you stated, Internet connection is working properly with the Nokia Browser only However, when you open the other applications you mentioned, are you getting any error message? Do the apps open or they just keep on loading and log out back to the Menu?
Here are some steps that you may try to fix the issue:
1. Restart the phone. Don't forget to remove and replace the back cover and the battery before restarting.
2. Restore Factory Settings. Check this link for the steps: Restore-Factory-Settings .
3.Update or reinstall phone software. Check for available software updates using Nokia Suite and install them into the phone. Check this link for the instructions: nokia.com/softwareupdate .
If there is no update available, look for the 'Reinstall' option in Nokia Suite under SW Updates, and then Device Software.
4.Perform a full reset. Consider this as your last option if all the previous steps failed. This will erase all user data and making a backup is advised. Check this link for the steps: Create-a-Backup.
To fully reset the phone, follow step 2 but select 'Restore All Settings' instead of 'Settings only'.

Nokia asha 200.problem in opening folders.

I am using nokia asha 200.It is very slow and it takes long time in opening folder.And my nokia music store is also not opening.
How can i solve these problems?And i also wanted to know that if there a antivirus for this mobile handset...?

If there is a lot of content in a folder, it is normal for the phone to take some time in opening that. Try making multiple sub-folders to properly allocate your data.
Do you have some phone memory free? When you run out of phone memory or its very less free memory left, the device starts running slow as because it uses come of the phone memory to as physical memory.
What error do you experience when opening Nokia Music? Does it suddenly close? If so, your phone needs a Firmware Re-Install. You can give Nokia Suite a chance to do that or better visit a Nokia Care Center.
Your phone doesn't need a Anti-Virus that's why there is no such product available. Asha series phones run on S40 OS and it cannot be infected by viruses. Viruses can't bring any harm to its file system

What error it produces ? Update the Nokia Suite first . You may download the latest version from HERE . BTW, surprised that its not forcing you to update it before giving any other options ..

Nokia asha 200 video playing problem

My Nokia asha 200 not play some high bitrate videos as (320x240,video bitrate= 512kbps,frame rate= 15fps).but Nokia 108 can play 480x240 resolution video easily,please please help about it ,please a software update for us, can't play video please help me and us, i want need minimum resolution=320x240 , 25fps,700kbps.

How can I remove .nrw files from my NOKIA Asha 200...

When I am connecting my NOKIA Asha 200 with my PC by data cable, I am watching almost 50 nos. *.nrw files inside the Image folder. I tried to delete all those file, but I was unable. Is there any one, who can tell me how to remove those files from my phone memory?

Back-up your data and then Factory Reset your phone ...(Menu-->Settings-->Restore Factory settings-->Settings only.. followed by 12345 which is default security code, unless set by you) .. When the phone reboots, check whether these .nrw files are now converted to .jpg .. If so, you should be able to delete them now ...

Problem with Nokia Asha 200 apps

Hello guys,
I am using Nokia Asha 200 and i am quite satisfy with this phone. The only drawback that i can find is that i cannot ue it social prebuild apps, like Social and i cannot use the e-mail app as well.
When i open them and accept the license, i am waiting for the software to connect to internet and update it self's, but this never happen. I tried to wait for the apps to finish with there updates but after 10 minutes of inactivity it become clear that it will never happened.
In comparison when i am using the Nokia Web Browser i don't have any problems with opening web pages. The difference between the browser and the apps is that when i browse i see on the top left part of the screen the "E" symbol which indicates that the phone is connected to Edge network, but when i use Social, E-mail or even other apps i had downloaded from Ovi store i am not able to use them. For instance most apps i had download indicate me network connectivity problems. The only app i can use with my 3G internet is Nokia browser.
My software version is:10.58.

You have two options to resolve the issue:
Update the phone's software.
