Error 0xc1440137 0x2000c installing 8.1. Pro as upgrade on HP Stream 8

I'm getting the error 0xc1440137 0x2000c after about 3% of the installation.
I tried a few of thing that I found like the
1) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
2) http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-us
3) Making a USB Bootable with Windows 8.1 PRO ISO...
4) trying to use a mounted ISO copied on the C drive
But I'm still getting the error 0xC1440134-0x2000C and I don't see any error in the eventlog.
Thank you.

Hello  Cagua,
Do you mean that you have Windows 8.1 and when upgrading to Windows 8.1 Pro, we get the error 0xc1440137 0x2000c?
Please provide the whole error message.
Do you perform the clean install instead of upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 8.1 Pro through license key?
Please take the following steps for troubleshooting:
1. Try to upgrade to Windows 81. Pro by adding feature in Windows 8.1.
For more information, please take a look at the following article.

2. Collect the following logs, upload and share them with us in OneDrive for better analyzation.

    Hi,
Please make sure that your computer is up to date in Windows update.
Also try following commands to repair Windows first:
Please make sure to run CMD as Administrator:
    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
Then clear store temp file and make sure your network connection is stable (the wired connection should be better):
    Run -> WSRESET.EXE
Please also disable your security applications and try to run the upgrade again.

  • Program Error in new install w/FontAgent Pro

Just built a new Leopard 10.5.4 system on my new 2008 Mac Pro 8 core, got my CS3 apps installed & activated. Opened up my first file in Photoshop, fooled around a bit & closed it. Everything fine, but the file needed a font that was not installed. So I opened FontAgent Pro & installed the CS3 plugin, reopened Photoshop to see if it would load my font automatically. FAP tried to load the font, but was cut off by the Program Error dialog. Tried a couple more times to open this file, no dice. This is a brand new Mac, virgin Leopard install, 10 GB RAM, no reason I can see for this error. Your suggestions would be most welcome.

    Gary,
Just out of curiosity I looked at my Photoshop CS3 Plugin folder and found two FontAgent plugins: FontAgent Pro.plugin and FontAgent Pro Helper.plugin. As my auto activation works without issue I wondered if you had both plugins installed?

  • Error 1603 when installing Acrobat XI Pro - no luck with any suggestions

Hi all - I have been trying to download Acrobat XI Pro via the Creative Cloud installer, but I'm getting the following message:
ERROR: Install MSI payload failed with error: 1603 - Fatal error during installation.
    MSI Error message:
ERROR: Third party payload installer AcroPro.msi failed with exit code: 1603
I have successfully installed Photoshop and InDesign in the same way.  I have tried the following suggestions from the Community:
    Empty Temp folder
    Re-register msiexec
    Uninstall/Cleanup Tool/Reinstall
It gets to about 42% and fails every time. Any ideas?
    many thanks!

Thanks Ned.  I had already tried those suggestions.  Our IT Ops Manager finally sorted this out by running the installer manually, rather than through the Creative Cloud installer.  It was 'Adobe PDF Creation Add-On 11.0.01', which was not removed via the Cleaner Tool.

  • Error 16 when installing Acrobat XI Pro

I recently purchased Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for Palomar Audubon use. While installing on a PC running Windows 8.1 I received an "error 16" message instructing me to uninstall/reinstall the program. Since then I have been informed that 1.) the entered serial number (<Serial Number removed by moderator >) is invalid and 2.) I need to uninstall and reinstall the program. At my wits end I ask that SOMEBODY can solve this dilemma for me. Let me know at: < Email ID Removed by Moderator >Although I have previously been very pleased with available donations through TechSoup I am gradually becoming more and more disheartened by this installation problem?
    Now another message:
Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server.

Thanks for offering to remove Allen Rippe:

  • Errors Opening and Installing Adobe Acrobat Pro

Originally mine was a single problem with the following error after attempting to open Adobe Acrobat Pro 7.0, "An error has been detected with a required application library and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application."
Now after reading the Adobe Community Forum article which recommended a complete uninstall of my Adobe Acrobat Pro 7 using this tool 'acrobat_ittools_cleaner_p1_040612' I have an additional problem with the following error,
    "Error 1310.Error writing to file: C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 7.02\ActiveX\AcroPDF.dll
Verify that you have access to tha directory."
Whereas previously I was able to reinstall the program successfully after an 'uninstall', now I encounter this error and cannot remedy it.
Please note that I have performed all of the solutions offered in this url: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-1310-error-writing-file.html#main_Vista to no avail. The problem persists.
Therefore, my hope is that after having used the tool 'acrobat_ittools_cleaner_p1_040612' and then successfully reinstalling Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional, I will find that the original problem has also been fixed.
Again, the original problem was this error:
"An error has been detected with a required application library and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application."
And the additional problem which came about after having used the tool is this:
    "Error 1310.Error writing to file: C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 7.02\ActiveX\AcroPDF.dll
Verify that you have access to tha directory."
Has anyone ever encountered either or both of these issues? If so, please share your experience and what you did to fix the problem(s).
    Thank you,
    -Dan Sacapano

  • Installing final cut pro vs upgrade

    Hi,
Is there a difference between the install and upgrade?
I had installed final cut studio (just final cut pro and color) and then removed the application. When I tried re-installing, the installer had the option Upgrade selected and I could not change it (I think its because i did not remove all the application files including the id files).
There doesn't seem to be any difference when I start it. So is there a difference in what you get between a complete install and upgrade? Before I remove everything and install again.
    thanks

There is no difference. In fact, when you install an upgrade, you don't even have to have the old version on the system.

  • Install Acrobat 9 Pro Extended "upgrade" on PC upgraded from Win XP to Win 7

I upgraded my PC from Windows XP to Windows 7.  How do I install the Acrobat upgrade on the Windows 7?

You reinstall it from scratch and simply hack in the serial numbers. It will ask for a qualifying previous serial, if it is an upgrade...

  • Error 0x8007000E-0x2000C in upgrade from 7 pro to 8.1 pro

Issue with error on  upgrade from 7 pro to 8.1 pro of error 0x8007000E-0x2000C.  I have tried the install several times and this error returns every time.

    Hi,
First, we need check the system requirements for Window 8.1:
    System requirements
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows-8/system-requirements
Or, you can firstly run upgrade assistant tool to help you determine if you are able to install Windows 8.1.
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows-8/upgrade-from-windows-7-tutorial
if all things have been done, we can collect the following logs, maybe we can find something about this failure:
    C:\Windows\Panther\Setupact.log
    C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\panther\setupact.log
