Error 1 PSE 9 installation problem

Can anyone help me with this please. It starts to install Elements 9 organizer and then starts roolingit back and comes up with error 1. How can I fix this?

I tried to copy the screen shot but it wouldn't let me. The message says:
Configuration error
Please uninstall and reinstall the product if the proble still occurs contact Adobe technical support for help and mention the error code at the bottom of the screen.
Error 1
When it starts to roll back it comes up witha screen with status: Rolling back the installation of Adobe PSE9 with little small dotted green lines after trying to install the organiser and a feature of PSE9.

PSE 6 Installation Problem

I just got PSE 6 Mac Version for my iMac and I have tried installing it a few times and it won't work. It installs the shared files (Bridge CS3, Help Viewer, and Stock Photo CS3) but after taking about 30 minutes for the installation, it doesn't install actual photoshop. On the last screen of the installation it says Error with installation of Adobe Photoshop Elements, but doesn't give a reason why. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Uninstall again, then you will need to manually remove the other bits you can find (don't forget to check library>application support) and your home>library folder. Then download and run cleanscript:

It states "Fatal error during installation" Please HELP!!!

I am experiencing the exact same issue during the installtion process for iTunes 10.5.
I uninstalled all Apple components but when I attempted to uninstall the Apple Software Update I received the same message: "Fatal error during installtion." I was able to repair the Apple Software Update but still could not install iTunes 10.5 afterwards.
I have tried everything that I could find on these discussions pages as well as other suggestions on third party sites. I was able to uninstall and reinstall QuickTime 7.7.1. During the reinstalltion process I received the same message (There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.) But after clicking "OK" the installtion process was succesful. PLEASE HELP!

iTunes won't upgrade to10.5. I'm on 10.1.17.
When installing 10.5 it terminates with an error message "There is a problem with the Windows installer package. Contact the package vendor".
It does not provide an error code or details/description to further troubleshoot. As a result I can't upgrade my Apple devices to leverage the cloud.
Any smarts out there who could help?

I know there's a million threads like this, but I thought I'd record my experience. I, too, was having the original poster's error when I tried to update iTunes on Windows XP. I think I was stuck on 10.
I solved it by un-installing iTunes and every other Apple app. I discovered that Apple Software Update would not un-install as its MSI file could not be found. I used the "Windows Install Cleanup" tool from Microsoft to remove Apple Software Update from the list of installed programs. Google "kb290301" for a Microsoft page that includes a download link for it. After that, I was able to install a fresh copy of iTunes 10.5.2.
I'm not sure why this app's folder and MSI were missing from my computer. I had once used Laplink PC Mover to move everything from my old computer to this one, and perhaps it missed a bit.

Ok, Below is what worked for me somewhat.
Okay ... try downloading and saving a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe to your PC from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Now download a trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/download.php
Open the iTunesSetup.exe with WinRAR, and try to run the standalone install of Apple Application Support from the AppleApplicationSupport.msi you find in there.
It works now BUT there are still problems. It is not allowing or recognizing my Cd/DVD player and i CANT burn. Looking still for this fix.

GoLive wirste wohl gar nicht zum laufen kriegen. ohnehin würde man es nicht mehr verwenden, weil es noch nicht mal CSS2 voll unterstützt geschweige denn HTML 5 und andere moderne Webstandards. Wenn überhaupt, dann findeste vielleicht noch 'ne OEM CD von Strato oder 1und1 bei eBay. Die haben das damals mit jedem neuen Hostingvertrag rausgehauen. Aber wie gesagt, es ist den Aufwand nicht wert. Illustrator sollte sich durchaus installieren lassen. Eventuell einfach nochmal die Installer im Win XP Kompatibilitätsmodus laufen lassen...

The above you are talking about refers to instructions for Snow Leopard (10.6) and you did post in the Snow Leopard forum area.
Your system profile confirms you are actually using Lion (10.7.1). Therefore, you should seach for Lion instructions in the Apple's Knowledge Base or post over in the Mac OS X v10.7 Lion forum area.
