I am getting error 100 when I try to log into adobe download assistant. I am using windows vista , on chrome, and use AVG firewall which I allow all adobe. What can I do trying to install Photoshop cs5 extended.

Error 100 in Adobe Download assistant

I have just installed adobe download assistant. When I open it and try to sign in with my Adobe ID...its showing Error 100, "could not connect to server, check your internet connection and then restart Adobe Download Assistant". Needless to say, my internet connection is working fine. Could somebody please help me with this.

What's the problem with Adobe Downloader Assistant? It's making it impossible to download a trial version of PS 5 extended. I can see that I'm not the only one experiencing difficulties with this so........what's the story Adobe?!!!! If you don't want people to download trial versions of your products then just say so! Or do something about the problem and remove this faulty download.I have a brand new Mac,so it shouldn't be a problem. The Adobe Downloader has been extracting for 2 days now, and I can't shut it off. Very irritating!

If you are having problems with extracting it is likely that you have customized the location of your download. I would recommend downloading to your User folder or Desktop folder. When the download and extraction process are complete you can then install to your Program Files folder.

Can't download DW5.5. Error with Adobe Download Assistant

I am getting error 100 with the Adobe Download Assistant (ADA). The log is below. IE can connect to https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/flex2gateway so why is ADA having problem? I wish Adobe didn't take away the direct download links. Searching the forums it seems lots of people are having problems with iADA and it must be causing support headache for Adobe.
My suggestion is for people who know what they're doing, provide the direct links. For people who don't know what to do after the download or have slow connection, they can use ADA.

Sorry, I thought the Cleaner would do it. Did another search and found these instructions to remove the download manager:

The browser is involved because it runs as a plugin of the browser. Plugins are different for the browsers. IE typically runs through ActiveX whereas other browsers run through a java enabled version. By trying the download in another browser you can rule out where the problem lies. Otherwise, I feel your only solution is to get in touch with Adobe support because this is a user-to-user community and there won't be much more help than KB articles. Also with Adobe email support you can email them log files to look at. It's along the process and will explain as you go.

Problem with Adobe Download Assistant

Every time I am trying to sign into my Adobe Download Assistant it says I have an Error 100 because my account can't connect with Adobe.com.It is saying to check my connection(4 bars and direct connect) and to restart Adobe Download Assistant. How do I fix this problem?

Connection problem with adobe download assistant

Hello,
I'm using windows 7 and I try to install the trial version of the Master Collection cs6.
I have download Adobe Download Assistant (multiple times) but every time I try to connect myself with my Adobe ID, it doesn't work. I can click on Connection, the action is registered by the software but nothing happen. I also can't close the software with the simple click on close, I have to use the task manager (CTRL+ALT+SUPPR).
I have already unistall my cs5 version using all the help I could find on the website (cleaner tool..).
Can you help me ?

I HAD IT WORKING LAST NIGHT.

Yeah, right. I spent an hour trying on 'chat' and got nowhere. They don't seem to know anything about the dl assistant.
I tried to install from here:

the dl assistant comes up and it downloads cs5 flash pro and then prompts me that my system is due for a 'restart' which I select 'ignore'. Then it starts the installation and part way thru it prompts me to terminate ie and chrome. Okay, soon as I do that the installation terminates altogther and I have to start all over. Since it takes a long time to dl each time, all i want to know is where did the 'exe' go. when the install starts it seems to be running something called pdapp. i can't find the trial exe. i did this yesterday with the flash builder and everything worked as expected but it looks to work completely diff with flash pro. Why??? Where is the exe?

Adobe Download Assistant Instant Crash

My Adobe Download Assistant will not open at all. I instantly get the "...has encountered problems and needs to close immediately" message and can't do anything with the program. I've tried to reinstall a couple times now but keep getting this error.
The Adobe Download Assistant appears to instal fine, but as soon as its done it gives me that message, and if I try to open it it still gives me that message.
I am trying to instal the trial version of InDesign 6

It would seem that you are having problems with Adobe AIR. Which operating system are you using?

I downloaded the Adobe Dreamweaver trial but i can't get past the Adobe Download Assistant. Every time i try to sign in it says "Error communicationg with Adobe.com (Error 100). I can log in at www.adobe.com. Whats the problem here?

I tried installing the free trial version of adobe Indesign CS5 from adobe, but i am stuck with the error 100, i tried all possible ways i found in forums to resolve it but couldn't make a way out.
I disabled cookies, removed cache, disabled anti virus, disabled firewall, but still getting the same error when i am trying to create connection from adobe download assistant with my adobe ID. Please anyone suggest some way out to this..

I am posting on this topic because I have the same problem.
When I launch Adobe Download Assistant to install the trial version of InDesign CS5.5, I receive the Error 100 message.
I have tried every steps of solution 1 but nothing works.
My OS is Windows 7 ; 64 bits.
I have also downloaded Adobe AIR and the last version of Java for both windows 64 bits and 32 bits.
I start getting desperate because I really need this software so if anyone can help, it would be really nice !
