Error 10061
Dears,
We have recently migrated from BO 6.5 to WEB INTELLIGENCE RICH CLIENT,
I can login to through the client to the universes but when I am refreshing a template it is giving below error:
*A database error occurred,The database error text is:*
*ct_connect(): network packet later: internal net library error:*
*Net-Lib protocol driver call to connect two endpoints failed (OS Error: Failed to connect ro the server - Error is 10061 No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.)*
*(WIS 10901)*
could you please help to find what is the problem?

What kind of database are you trying to connect to?
Is there a firewall running on your database server?

Error 10061 refused the connection
The error 10061 connection refused appear me trying to connect 2 applications in the same machine. I switched off the firewall for testing but there were no difference. The OS is W008 64bit. What could be the problem? Thank you in advance

hi,
I am ale to login to EAS when I click on Essbase server: localhost, it says 'network error'.
I am working with Hyperion 9.3.1 Essbase. OS is XP Sp3.
I stoped and restart the services. manually started the Essbase.exe
I uninstalled and install couple of times.
Here is the log:

Rajendra Prasad Gella.OK, that's because it's already running (as a service, maybe?). You could shut stop the service / kill the Essbase.exe process first, then load it that way.
But if you can connect via MaxL successfully it doesn't sound like that's really your problem - Essbase is clearly running. That said, stopping the service and launching manually might be worth a try if only so you can see if there's any activity in the Essbase.exe console window when you attempt to connect via EAS.
Not that I have any clue why it would make a difference but have you also tried using machine name and / or 127.0.0.1 in place of localhost?
1423 is the default port, incidentally, so it shouldn't be your problem. -
Network Error [10061] When Creating Child Members via JAPI

I am using Essbase 11.1.1.1 to build a dimension without a rule file by adding the members one by one using JAPI. For a dimension with relatively small amout of members, it works fine. However, for a dimension with more than 1500 members, I got network errors:
Network Error [10061]: Unable To Connect To [localhost:32780]. The client timed out waiting to connect to the Essbase Server using TCP/IP. Check your network connections. Also please make sure that Server and Port values are correct
I've run the application on Linux and Windows XP and got the same error. On windows XP, I set the registry entry TcpTimedWaitDelay to 30 seconds and MaxUserPort to 20,000 and it does not help.
Does any one have seen this before? Please help.You can set the MaxUserPort registry setting to something like 65535 to give your server's TCPIP stack more room to breathe..

SAP GUI720 error 10061. Partenr 'sapdev:sapdp00' not reached

The problem is I cannot connect and log on via SAPGUI.
I am very new to SAP. I have just managed to install SAP ECC6.0 on my laptop running server 2008 service pack2. It created another user account "IDSAdmin" itself when the installation finished. Everey thing (SAP ECC, Oracle, Java) is 64 bit.
But the GUI is 32 bit and after installation when I tried to connect some error comes up. Error details are

Please check the SAP Management Console whether SAP Server is up and running or not.

Problem with login on(ERROR 10061)
hie all i'm having a problem with logging on to the system,. everything else installed ok and is working fine. i think its my connection to the server, i used Ms loopback.. help on the configuration especially in the windows folder(system32/drivers/etc/hosts)..
Plus i'm getting this windows report after the GUI error connection ERROR disp+work.exe failed.

Please, check if you have the right ODBC driver. You should choose Oracle in XEClient.
Then, for the connexion you'll have to set the following:
Data Source Name: {color:red}name{color}
Description: {color:red}description{color}
TNS Service Name: {color:red}127.0.0.1:1521/XE{color}
User ID: {color:red}Oracle user{color}In fact I thought at first you wanted to connect with the browser and for it you have to
use the port 8080.
For ODBC you need the Listener port which by default is *1521*.

Reverse Proxy all of a sudden getting 10061 Error
External clients can't connect and i tracked the problem down to the reverse proxy not being able to connect to the front end server. If i run the test on the lync publishing rule all the URLs some back with error 10061 no connection could be made because
the target machine actively refused the connection. Nothing was changed that i am aware of. Anyone have any ideas?

Please make sure that both port 80 and 443 are reachable on all internal Front end and Director servers from any subnet where Lync clients may reside internally.

Oracle epm 11.1.2.2 http error
I installed (personal installation) and configured 11.1.2.2. Installation was successful. Configuration only partly successful as most of the errors point to http error and unable log on to workspace. It brings up a java.net error.

Network Conenctivity Error in 11.1.2
Hi All,
I am able to login Admin Console.However when I am trying to connect Essbase server i am getting below error
netwrok error [10061]:Unable to connect to [ServerName:1423].
The Client Timed out waiting to connect to Essbase agent using TCP/IP.Check your network connections.also make sure that server and port values are correct
I checked in Task Manager Essbase.exe is not running.I restarted/rebooted the services but there is no vain.

We are working on Essbase 11.1.2.2. Our applications are in Production and suddenly the some of the BSO Application are down. We tried to re start the applications but not restarted. So we restarted the Essbase Hyperion Services in the Server. Later after bringing the server online when we try to connect to the server we are getting the following Issue..

Error: 1030818: Login failed. Please check if server and port are correct. If you received timeout or handshake failure, please check if you tried to connect to secure port without secure keyword or clear port with secure keyword.
But usually when we restart the services the server will be online and the applications will be started but now its showing above error. Can any one guide us on this. The server and port are correct but still we are facing this Issue.

Naveen1.Check if your backend database or schema are running & try to connect your database or schema with the user id and password which is being for configuration
2.Stop the essbase server
3.Restart the essbase server
4.Go to Task manager then see whether essbase.exe appear.
5.if so then try to login into essbase server with your user id and password
6.or else check if the oracle process manager is getting starting and for the below logs
For eg
d:\oracle\Middleware\user_projects\diagnostics\logs\OPMN\opmn\console~Essbase1~EssbaseAgent~AGENT~1.log
