Error 102 + Password Problems

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with fixing my BlackBerry Torch 9800.
My first problem was when it stated that I had this "Error 102" and I tried resolving that with the guide in BlackBerry's website but then I had to type in my password and every time I type in my password, it says it's incorrect. I've already maxed out my tries and lost all my files. I'm okay with that but the problem is, my phone still won't open. It still says there's an Error 102 and when I try to fix it, I can't get it connected.
I also have a problem with the system since before my phone crashed I've updated it and now, when I try to update it through the Desktop System, it doesn't show the "VIEW OTHER VERSIONS" clicker. I don't know what happened and I don't know what I should do. I really need help on this. I just want my phone to work again.

Hello Heyheychuni and welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
Sorry to hear you are having issues with your BlackBerry® Torch™ 9800 smartphone.
First off, when it comes the password, did you use a numerical password? If so, did you hold ALT each time or just hit the number/letter key? If you didn't hold ALT then your password is actually the letter as the BlackBerry types letters by default unless ALT is held.
For example, if you used 1234 as your password but didn't hold ALT then your password really is wers.
As for the software, if the BlackBerry® Desktop Software doesn't see it to reinstall on your device, you can download the latest version from your carrier's download site and install the file to your computer.
You can access you carrier's download site by clicking here.
After you install the software run the Desktop Software again and retry the update.
Let me know how you make out.

  • Error 102 when trying to download OS X 10.8.5, Help!

    I am using a Macbook Pro 8,2 on 10.8.4
When attempting to download and install the 10.8.5 update via the Mac App Store, I receive an error 102 before the download will begin! I even tried to download the update directly from the Apple support site only to be hit with an access denied page :/
    What can I do?

It appears Apple’s download servers are ‘overwhelmed’ today.  I couldn’t download the newest iTunes update or IOS 7 and there are a lot of discussions today about not being able to download. One poster said they had chatted with App Store support who confirmed the problem.

  • What is error 102 for macbook pro

i just bought my macbook pro 13.3 inch and i recieved a notification stating that i needed to up date to itunes 10. 7 and OS X update combined 10. 8. 2. once i tried up dating a window came up saying "cannot complete updates due to error 102" can someone help me fix this problem?

Well, the above error seems as though it's a bad download. You might try downloading again. If that doesn't work, you might try updating to 10.8.1 first: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1571
After that, see if you can update either by the download or via Software Update / App Store Updates

  • Error 102 on a Blackberry Curve 9300

    Hi All
My son purchased his 9300 in August on 3 network.  Yesterday his phone displays error 102.  Took it back to the 3 shop today.  They advised me visit the Blackberry site and do a software reload.  I've searched on the site but nothing straight forwards is shown.  I've looked on the forum and it seems that other Blackberry users have experienced the same problem.  If there is a straight forward solution could you please let me know, or should I take it back to the 3 shop and request that the phone is sent back.  The phone is just over 3months old, soooo disappointed .
Many thanks in advance for your response.
    Mrs B

http://uk.blackberry.com/services/blackberry6/ using a PC or Laptop, plug your phone in via USB and use the link to check for a software update, if there is not one, select "view other version" and re-install your phone software. Good Luck

  • Sys password problem "INSUFFICIENT PRIVELEGES"

    hi,
This is with refernece to my earlier post, i can now login as a DBA thry OS authentication.
    Re: sys password problem
but now i try to vreate a new password file and it successfully created using orapwd....
but when i try to login as a sys user thru oracle authentication i couldn't because i am getting an error
    "INSUFFICIENT PRIVELEGES"
and another thing i would like to know do i have to shutdown the database or not for the same.

Please review the document link sent earlier
    Setting REMOTE_LOGIN_ PASSWORDFILE
In addition to creating the password file, you must also set the initialization parameter REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE to the appropriate value. The values recognized are:
NONE: Setting this parameter to NONE causes Oracle Database to behave as if the password file does not exist. That is, no privileged connections are allowed over nonsecure connections.
EXCLUSIVE: (The default) An EXCLUSIVE password file can be used with only one instance of one database. Only an EXCLUSIVE file can be modified. Using an EXCLUSIVE password file enables you to add, modify, and delete users. It also enables you to change the SYS password with the ALTER USER command.
SHARED: A SHARED password file can be used by multiple databases running on the same server, or multiple instances of a Real Application Clusters (RAC) database. A SHARED password file cannot be modified. This means that you cannot add users to a SHARED password file. Any attempt to do so or to change the password of SYS or other users with the SYSDBA or SYSOPER privileges generates an error. All users needing SYSDBA or SYSOPER system privileges must be added to the password file when REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE is set to EXCLUSIVE. After all users are added, you can change REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE to SHARED, and then share the file.
This option is useful if you are administering multiple databases or a RAC database.
If REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE is set to EXCLUSIVE or SHARED and the password file is missing, this is equivalent to setting REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE to NONE.

  • Error 102

    Hi,
Switched on my phone as normal, and have white screen with Error 102. I have reviewed the posts regarding this and followed instructions using the Jl_Cmder route to no avail.
The device (Bold 9900) is not recognized by the Blackberry Device software on my PC. I did a recent back up on 1st Dec though so I'm hoping that is going to help.
I've followed the instructions when Jl_Cmder does not work
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/What_to_do_next_if_Jl_Cmder_will_not_connect_and_wipe
but I get to the point where i enter loader.exe /nojvm and the message says'loader.exe is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
I don't know what else to do!! I'm new to the Blackberry world and seem to have run across problem after problem but now I really really need some help please!

    Hello,
If you do not have the Update option the device may not be connected or you are using an older version of BlackBerry Desktop Software. There are a few reasons why the Desktop Software cannot detect the BlackBerry Device please reference:

Funny how five other functuionale blackberrys connect using the same usb but the errored one wont. Please can some one help.

Ya you need to reload your software again. There is some software issues that casues this error. To reload it you need to use the application loader.
Look at this article as it explains step by step on reloading the OS:
How to do a clean reload
When you downloaded the OS make sure to delete the "vendor.xml" file.

  • Error 102 when downloading Office 365 onto mini iPad

Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem.  'Error 102' came up after I clicked on the Install button for Office 365.  It also said ' it looks like you're on an unsupported operating system.'  Any ideas how to fix this glitch?

Look at the system specifications for Office 365 and then check your device to ensure it meets or exceeds those specs.

  • ERROR: Your password and confirmation password do not match. [******] - has been ignored.

In IE8m 7, 6, this error occurs. Instead of allowing the registrant to correct the mis-matched password, BC submits the form and places this in the submission report: ERROR: Your password and confirmation password do not match. [******] - has been ignored.
The user doesn't get logged in (obviously), however BC creates a record for this user, but without a password.
Has anyone else received this error?
The process happens like this, user completes form, which includes password|confirm password in which the confirm password is mistyped, when "submit" is pressed, the modal window appears indicating a mismatched password. The user clicks "okay" and then the page redirects to the submission page (or to a login screen if the form is set to redirect to a specific page).
This occured during the test phase and has been replicated!

Can you please insert that form onto a blank page with no template around it and test it? There seems to be a problem in javascript validation.
    It's this line:
    if(why != ""){alert(why);return false;}
So, when you click submit, the JS pops the alert if "why" varaible is not an empty string and then returns false, which means the form should not get submitted. However, on your form the browser goes on to this line and submits the form:
    if(submitcount50254 == 0){submitcount50254++;theForm.submit();return false;}
I can't exactly pinpoint the problem, but it's in that code or some code interfering with that code.
    Cheers,
    -mario

  • Last week i purchased Apple TV but , when i am trying to loging by the apple id is giving me error "your password is not correct" but when i try to login in my Pc is working fine

last week i purchased Apple TV but , when i am trying to loging by the apple id is giving me error "your password is not correct" but when i try to login in my Pc is working fine

Thanks for the flag J.K. - they contaced me and solved my problem.  On this account (which I created just to ask this question), I log in with my email rather than my user name (mtalldud). On the account that I was having trouble with, they told me to use my user ID instead of my email to log in and it worked. This is a bit confusing and seems a bit inconsistent but at least I don't need this temporary account any more to get into this community and find answers!

    Thank for any help.
    Daniel

Your only hope is to try and restart the device in safe mode.
Remove the battery. While holding the back key, reinsert the battery. Continue to hold the back key for another 20 seconds. See if the device will start up.
If it doesn't start up then you'll have to reload the OS and anything in the device memory is gone. sorry.
