Error: 1030001 while Dimension Building using MaxL

Hi, I am bulding dimesions using MaxL import statement. My script builds the diemsions properly. But in Logfile, It shows this error without generating any error files. ...... ..... OK/INFO - 1021000 - Connection With SQL Database Server is Established. OK/INFO - 1021002 - SQL Connection is Freed. OK/INFO - 1007132 - Building Dimensions Elapsed Time : [0.781] seconds. ERROR - 1241101 - Unexpected Essbase error 1030001. OK/INFO - 1019017 - Reading Parameters For Database [Drxxxxxx]. OK/INFO - 1019012 - Reading Outline For Database [Drxxxxxx]. ...... ... Can anybody can help me out with it? I know that Error: 1030001 is geneated due to API or path problems, I checked all paths, all is good. Thanks in advance, Marma

We are getting this error too. I believe that the error occurs because Essbase tries to evaluate outline before you finish building all of your dimensions. To me, it should be a Warning, not an Error. But my experience with Essbase is that anything that has to do with GUI or presentation of information to its developers (non-scrollable text boxes, log info, etc.) is lousy, so this is not a surprise. I had to build a logic in my batch programs to ignore this error when parsing log file for errors in execution. Hope you can do the same.

Multiple Dimension Builds using MAXL

We currently use ESSCMND to perform multiple dimension builds and data loads. We have been using the "INCBUILDDIM" in Escmnd to update the outline with multiple files without restructuring until the last file. Is there an equivalent command for MAXL ??

Yes, you can mimic the BEGININCBUILDDIM command from ESSCMD in version 6.5. I've appended a sample script below to show that functionality. Error occured while transforming payload using XSL

Hi,
When i deployed the SOAOrderBooking BPEL process, an instance created successfully in BPEL console (after submitting orders successfully), but when i clicked the instance window in ESB control to confirm that the service instance successfully received the order and initiated the SOAOrderBooking BPEL process, i can see 2 instances there OrderBookingESB and FulfillmentESB, so now the issue is the FulfillmentESB instance created with some error which is given below:

Besides after submitting orders, when i clicked "View Current Orders", iam getting 500 internal server error: Servlet error: An exception occurred. The current application deployment descriptors do not allow for including it in this response. Please consult the application log for details.
If anyone know how to solve this issue plz let me know...

Looks like you might not have imported the xsl within the project. When you import the files from outside your project you have to have "Add to project" checked.
Check if you see the xsl file within the project folder.

Load Rule (Dimension Build) using "Add as Child of"

I have a dimension file that contains Level0 Members, Aliases and Agg Signs. When I use the Build Method of "Add as Child Of", I appears that I cannot add the Alias in the same Load rule. On the first field, I select the Dimension with no Field Type or Number. On the next field, I select Alias and the Dimension, however, when I put a level number of 0, the load rule does not verify and if I try to leave the Number blank then I I get an error the error message of "You must specify a valid number for this field type".How do you add aliases, properties, etc when using the Dimension build with the build method of "Add as child of" in the same load rule? I cannot find anything in the DBAG.Thanks.....

As your post seems to indicate, there is no way to do it in one pass. There are a few things that you can't do the way you should be able to - like, say updating two alias tables at once... Error executing essbase report script using maxl

Hi,
V 11.1.2.1 (64 bit) on windows
An essbase report script errors when it is run from maxl. When I run it directly in maxl the error is
Error - 1030205 - Client directory does not exisit: ...EssbaserServer\<instance>\client
When I run it within EAS the error is
Client directory does not exisit: EPMSystem11R1/common/EssbaseRTC-64/11.1.2.0client
Unexpected essbase error 1030205
The client is installed but the folder locations do not exist. There is a calc script which does a data export which works fine. The essbase report can be manually executed without a problem. This worked fine in 9.3.1.
Here is the script (without actual names)
export database 'app'.'database' using report_file 'AReport' to data_file 'c:\\Output.txt';
I would appreciate any help. I have looked at the knowledge base and can't find anything relevant.

The issue is now resolved.
The client folder must be created where the EAS service is, not Essbase. Once this was done the report script could not be found. In discussion over the phone with Oracle we did some testing, as they use a non distributed environment. If you use 'using report file' you need to specify the path to the report file i.e.
D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem\EssbaseServer\<instance>\app\<app name>\<database>\report.rep'
The .rep must also be included.
If you use 'using server report file' you only need to specify the report name, without the extension, and the data file path. You specify the path as normal i.e. D:\nathan.txt but you can get away with simply a file name such as 'nathan.txt'. In a distributed environment this exports to the server where the EAS service is to
<drive>:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem
When Oracle support did this it went to the Essbase bin folder as it was a non distributable environment.
The subtle differences between 9.3.1 and 11.1.2.1......

Error 500 while deploying Servlets using Weblogic 5.1

          i have followed all the intructions on how to run servlets in weblogic 5.1 server.
          till yesterday i have done nearly 10 servlets which worked perfectly. but today
          when i coded a new servlet and started running using internet explorer it gave
          "Error 500--Internal Server Error
          From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
          10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error
          The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling
          the request. "

          Http 500 errror means some "internal error" happened while processing your request.
          Do you see any error messages or stack trace on the server console?

Dimension Build using Rule File

I am using Oracle Hyperion Ver 9.3.1. While formatting the dimensions built using the rule file i came across the options "JOIN" and "Create Using Join". Can anyone help me in knowing the difference between these two options?

The documentation explains the difference with examples, now I was going to post the link but I might as well post the info from the link.
Joining Fields
You can join multiple fields into one field. The new field is given the name of the first field in the join. For example, if a data source has separate fields for product number (100) and product family (-10), you must join the fields (100-10) before loading them into the Sample.Basic database.
Creating a Field by Joining Fields
You can join fields by placing the joined fields into a new field. This procedure leaves the original fields intact. Creating a field is useful if you need to concatenate fields of the data source to create a member.
For example, if a data source has separate fields for product number (100) and product family (-10), you must join the fields (100-10) before you load them into the Sample.Basic database. If, however, you want to preserve the two existing fields in the data source, you can create a field (100-10) using a join. The data source now includes all three fields (100, -10, and 100-10).

Problem with dimension building using Sybase

Mr V, RSRV correct error never fixes these index issues.
Preet, Using SE14 i tried to "adjust and activate" and it did not fix the issue.
So ... I went to my Q system and found the same issue and fixed it by using SE14 deleting the index and then creating it.

Error come while extracting data using DB Connect

We are not getting data in data target while fetching data from DB Conenct Exptraction method
We have created Source systme for DB Conenct . We are able to see data if we right click and select /EDIT database and display database content.
We can see error in Monitor::

Hi,
so your connection is fine, in RSDBC you can see data, right? You generated your DataSource and then assigned source system DS to ISource.
What is your External DB system? If it is MSSQL then do NOT use the user sa for the connection. Create a "BWUser" in your MSSQL with all adequate rights.
Then create a view with this user.
CREATE VIEW BWUser.MYVIEW AS SELECT * FROM dbo.TABLE.
Generate you DSource on BWUser.MYVIEW instead of on a dbo.* object.
This should work it out.
Also remind that you fields names have to cope with the DCOnnect restrictions (upper case, no / only alphanumeric chars)
Note that there is no IDOC transfer between both systems thus the error msg is just because the source didn't not bring any data to BW; the msg is misleading you...

Rename Dimension Member using Maxl Command

I have a requirement to rename many account dimension members in the outline. Is there a way to do this via MAXL script instead of renaming each account manually via EAS/AAS? If it is doable, please provide an example how I would go about doing this?

There is not a way to do it in MaxL. MaxL does not do outline manipulation.
are you changing the alias or the member names? If you want to change the alias, then you could do it in a load rule. If you want to change the membe names it is more complicated especially if oyu want to retain data. The best way would be to use the api to read members from a table with old and new names, but you would have to write the api sequence.
There are other ways using alias tables where you have a second cube and reverse the alias and member names. export the data from the original cube and load into the second cube.

Dimension build using SQL table and process to fill the SQL table

I have a dimension in a cube that is manually* built by one of our power users. Now I have to get all the member information of that dimension into a SQL table(example : with columns...level0,level0property,level1,level1property etc....) to use that table in STUDIO for member load.
Is there any easy process to do this? Currently I am building each and every row manually in that SQL table and there are 1100+ members in that manually built dimension. Please advice.
