Error -1073807300 causes and fixes

Of four identically stations one commonly throws this error during one of several CVI compiled functions. This indicates a memory problem (windows?) or can this actually be an instrument problem? What are the common causes and fixes for this error?

You do not mention which kind of operations you are doing when you get this error. I assume you are communicating with an instrument using VISA (or IVI?) since the error seems to be related to VISA. What is the instrument you are talking to? When exactly do you get this error?
Actually, you should try posting this question (providing the answers to my questions, as well as the versions of all the software you are using -VISA, CVI and so on) in one of the Instrument Connectivity Discussion Forums (there is one for Serial Interfaces, one for GPIB, one for VISA and one for Instrument Drivers/IVI). That would be a more suitable p

Does anyknow the cause of an Invalid SIM error cause and fix?

I was in the middle of a call when my 4S suddenly dropped the call and gave an "Invalid SIM" error. I had to restart to get it back to normal but the call kept dropping repeatedly on the next 3 attempts after lasting only a few seconds. Does anyone know the cause and how to fix? I'm on AT&T and my phone is less than a month old.

I've read many threads here that always seem to say that this means cube files are corrupted and to delete everything and reprocess. There's a couple problems with this. First of all that is not acceptable if you are in a production environment with a large cube application to just trash it and wait hours/days to reprocess a new one. Second, the files it throws the error messages for are always there and readable from IE (XML format). Scanning through the files, I see no funny characters or other things that would lead one to believe the file is corrupt.

My iPad 1 has started reverting to the home screen at random intervals in all different applications. Cause and fix?

I have searched and cannot find a solution. I have reset device and done a factory wipe back to original specs. No change. It appears to be a potential operating system issue but I cannot find any fixes. Apple has nothing posted about this problem I can find. Any help would be much appreciated.

KCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 302 - Meaning and fix?

Hi everybody,
I am getting random error messages called "kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 302" in Safari every now and then.
To me, this looks like a problem either resolving the URL or a timeout while waiting for a page (since it takes time for Safari to come back with the error after a page was requested). The message is not related to a specific domain or page. Hitting reload eventually brings up the page.
I have searched the forum but was not able to find a definite answer. Does this have something to do with HTTP Error 302? Any ideas?

I get them toooooooo.
And it's not Safari only issue. Firefox gives me some different message but refuses to open a page also.
Restart helps sometimes but not for long. It seems there're a lot of people running Leopard getting these errors for some time already!!!
What I can't understand is why Apple doing nothing about it... Looks like downgrading to Tiger is the only option at the moment If it's true...
More upsetting is that this problem doesn't exist in windoze world.

Two days ago, I loaded Light Room 6. Today I went back to Light Room 5. LR 6 corrupted an entire folder of images, and caused errors on my Raid 5 causing win 7 to run "Chk Dsk" and fix the errors to the operating system. LR 5 has not shut down for the last 5 hours. LR 6 has a serious bug. Anyone else experiencing this problem. Yesterday I was on tech support, waiting for 3 hours, finally they picked up and informed me there department was closing and someone else would call me on Monday. So, I'm working today and all day Sunday to make up for the down time using LR 6.
I don't know if the bug exists in the program or the "Creative Cloud.
Question: Does anyone know why if I bought Light Room 6 [NOT Light Room CC with the monthly rental], I have to enter my serial number if I want to use it?

Entering the serial number is probably part of the registration process.
Just out of curiosity, what were you doing on LR6 when the folder of images became corrupted?

How to fix error codes 9808 and 1202?

I need help fixing error codes 9808 and 1202, can anyone help PLEASE!!!!!

This alert is often caused by a perceived security issue due to higher than expected security settings.
-checking if date and time is correct will usually fix this issue.
also, it may help to disable your security sofware.

Audio buzz and video cut-out caused by volume shadow service errors during updates and other services that create shadow copies

I have this issue and see throughout the Internet that my problem is shared by large numbers of other Windows 7 users, and a few Windows 8 users.
I also see that Microsoft has not addressed the issue.
I've been troubleshooting the problem for 13 months and across 3 separate hard drives on 2 separate computers, with the help of tech escalation from both Carbonite and Dell (whom I wanted to eliminate as causes, and who have been kind enough to assist even
after being eliminated as causes because they evidently care about customer service).
Over 13 months we have run system diagnostics, reinstalls and repairs to no avail. We have been able to reproduce the event in the absence of every attached device, every installed program, every subscribed service, and every hardware type and configuration.
We have visited chat rooms showing that this is a widespread problem (e.g., http://superuser.com/questions/630033/audio-video-glitch-when-shadow-copy-service-starts), and that even professional server administrators simply consign themselves to VSS being "the
bane of backup software" (http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/229743-problem-with-vss-writer-system-writer-timed-out).
Yet regardless of the computer or the configuration, the problem persists. It causes characteristic and alarming disk write error and memory spikes on the Resource Monitor that can be traced to huge numbers on the System 4 and VSSVC.exe processes, occurring
every time the Volume Shadow Copy Service and Application Experience create a restore point during an automatic update of Adobe, antivirus, etc.; and one can even provoke an event simply by manually creating a restore point, which has the bonus of triggering
an 8220 notice that the Volume Shadow Service has run out of time while deleting files. And the only advice I've seen from MS is that this is a "normal condition."
It is not normal to be unable to enjoy audio and video. And it is certainly not normal for one's PC to continually degrade with every update until it becomes unable to update and must be replaced.
I am on my 3rd computer with this problem (different type and configuration each time), and Dell has offered me an upgrade to Windows 8 in the hopes that the problem will not recur there. But I see from Microsoft's tech chat that Windows 8 users are reporting

Above all I understand the frustration as a same issue persists for a very long time.
At first I'm thinking if it is directly related to the application CrashPlan some customers mentioned in one of the threads you provided. However I then noticed that you said it could be also reproduced by creating a System Restore point.
Currently I cannot find a Windows 7 system so I used a Windows 8.1 laptop (also Dell) for testing.
I tried to play an online video and also a local video with creating a restore point in the middle. However I failed to reproduce the same behavior.
The following screenshot was captured in second test (play a local video):
I cannot confirm if it is because we have a large physical memory (8GB), or Windows 8.1 resolved this issue. From the screenshot, memory is not spiked (actually it is almost not changed).
So in current situation you can test to enlarge the size of physical memory (and virtual memory) for test if available. And as Dell provided a Windows 8 system, you can try it before and after installing Windows 8.1.
As a support engineer I also hope to help fix the issue or at least find out the cause. Later I will try to find a Windows 7 system for testing as well.
In addition, please understand that as the issue occurs mostly in Windows 7, though it seems related to VSS, it is still a Windows client system issue. So you can post the question to Windows 7 forum for further information. Here is the link:

the fixes on Microsoft forums that says do this and the fix will get rid of the error code but I keep getting the same error code after I try that fixes.   And I have read a lot of other windows 8 an windows 8.1 web sites when
I search for how to fix this error code?   And tried all of the fixes that were different from the Microsoft forum fixes. But after I try those fixes I still can't install any apps or can't get my app updates?

Fixed the problem by going to settings/store and logging out with apple ID. Then logged back in with password and updates, apps, and iTunes store seem to work ok now.

Use Windows Explorer to open the folder containing your catalog. The normal location is Pictures\Lightroom. Locate a folder with the extension .lrdata and delete that folder. Then you should be able to start Lightroom again, and Lightroom will begin building and new previews folder. Do not delete anything else.

The cause: It is now clear what caused this problem. For years I had several “all-day” events in my Outlook calendar (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.). In May 2012 I decided to make some of them one hour events so I could add alerts to remind me of the event. I did this by dragging them in Outlook to the time I wanted and expanding them to the time slot desired and then adding the alarm.
The symptom: Syncing stopped working for the calendar but continued working for contacts and notes. I didn’t realize sync was failing until months later when I missed two very important phone calls, so when I noticed it the cause was not obvious.
The failed attempts: I’m head of a software firm and my calendar sync is a crucial to my business life so I took this on with a vengeance. From a quick look at events in Outlook and the iPhone I could see that the problem started in May 2012. Events before May were in both Outlook and the iPhone but events after May were only one or the other. Unfortunately I had changed several other things at the same time relating to other events so again the cause was not obvious. MANY calls with AppleCare proved them incompetent so my internal IT guys assisted trying many things. We tried a huge number of calendar changes and several versions of iTunes, iPhone OS and Office as well as both iPhone 4 and 5, all without success.
The fix: After 18 months of frustration, MANY hundreds of $ expense and MANY hours of wasted time I saw a blog that had a calendar sync problem and it indicated all day events were related. I changed the display of the Outlook calendar to the list view, added columns so I could see “all day” event check marks as well as times of events, sorted on the “all day” event column to move them to the top, and for all events that were “all day” events AND had a start and end time, I removed recurrence and then added the annual recurrence back…
After I fixed all events that had BOTH “all day” set and had a start/end time, I tried another sync. It synced for the first time in 18 months!
Problem occurred May 2012 – fixed Nov 2013

Hi, to remove dummy '_ModGrp' entries, rather than crashing the 'Suppr' key on your keyboard, you can use this basic VBA macro (launched for instance from Excel).
It will recursively remove all '_ModGrp...' folders

Ipod scan and fix error

I have A 160 gb ipod classic and am using windows 8, I plugged it in this morning and got the "scan and fix" error message and accidentally clicked it and it erased all 5,600 songs I have on ipod. when I go to summary it still shows all the space is still taken up but instead of music files, they're "other" is there a way to fix this?

             I'm not sure I have the answers to all your questions. Although I use Photoshop and Lightroom extensively, I'm not a 'techy'.
My system;
Packard bell imedia S2885
1TB hard drive
500G RAM
Windows 8.1   64- bit
Intel core i5 4440
If I open Photoshop cc14 without opening any image, I still get an error message that reads: 'Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver, and has temporarily disabled enhancements which use the graphics hardware'.
There is also a link to the Adobe help site, but I'm not sure exactly what I should be downloading from there.
