Error 1074388947 at CAN Open Object, Exceed resource limit
Dear All,
Basically, I'm listening to 5 frames from NI-CAN, and I can't listen to the sixth...
To be more precise, I'm listening to STAT1, STAT2, EXT1, EXT2 and I'm sending commands to CMD.
When I try to add a "hearing" on the BITE frame, I obtain the error:
"1074388947 occured at NI-CAN Open Object (ncOpen.vi)
NI-CAN: Exceeded resource limit for queues in shared memory between firmware/driver. The ncReadmult function is not allowed. Solutions: Decrease queue lengths in objects; Set read queue length to at least 2; Decrease number of CAN Objects."
I can't see any significative parameter to change...
I'm doing a ncConfigCANNET + ncOpen + ncSetAttr, then for each frames: ncConfigCANObj + ncOpen + ncSetAttr + ncCreateOccur.
That's when I'm adding the sixth frame's part, I get the error at the output of the ncOpen.
Does someone knows what's happening ?
Thanks for any help you could give me, even if it's just a thought... Thanks in advance ! I'm quite desperate actually...
Laurent

Getting error ora-01000 maximum open cursors exceeded
hello,
i am building my fist application using eclipse3.3 hibernate 3.2(hybernatesynchronizer as plugin)
i have a oracle9i like sgbd . when i trying to create my mapping file from eclipse i got this error :
ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded
i try to increase the number of cursor from the oracleconfiguration file init.ora, i shutdown but the problem still
i don t know how to solve this problem really.
i need help.Yes, that it what I was asking about.Not that it matters, but I think you misunderstood. I meant "if you ask it to leak resources then it will do so." I wasn't asking what you meant.
Is there a way to make it explicitly open and close via a single call? Perhaps a configuration option either globably or by method/class?Not as a standard part of Hibernate, no. That said, it's relatively hard to leak anything other than connection objects unless you're really trying hard. There are libraries that you can use to manage the lifetime of the connection (actually the session) object. I like the Spring DAO support classes. Inevitably they cause their own problems for someone who doesn't understand what Hibernate's up to under the covers though.
Edit: Quick example
// Bog standard Hibernate
Session session = sessionFactory.openSession();
try {
return (List<Foo>)session.createQuery("from Foo").list();
} finally {
session.close(); // If omitted will leak a connection object
// Using Spring
return (List<Foo>)getHibernateTemplate().find("from Foo");Things get slightly more interesting if you're using lazy loading and actively want to keep the connection around for longer. -
I have been running elements 12 for a few months now....today when I tried to open the editor I get " Visual C C runtime error. I can open the organizer but not the editor
I'm keen to know if you get a response to this. I've been running Elements 12 for a year now, and suddenly my Editor is not working. I'm running Windows 8.1 and just get a message that says "The Editor is not working". Not very helpful.

JDBC Error: ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded
Post Author: prashant
CA Forum: Information OnDemand
I successfully created reports using CR4E on windows, deployed JSPS to Websphere running on windows and was able to view a large reports for a using JNDI connection resources to Oracle 10g.
Every time report is called, it consume 12 cursors from of the database. Open_cursors count is 300. After 24 or 25 iteration of this report, it throws ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded error.
Has anyone seen this problem, and if so where can I find a hot fix/patch. Any help would very much be appreciated.The following code reproduces the problem for me. I thought this was just related to when an exception occurs, and close occurs immediately afterwards. Close finds the exception that occured, and throws it without releasing the resources.
It's a pain in the ass, that's for sure.

Ajay Singh RathodAre you actually closing the connections, resultsets in all cases?
From what you've posted you call
rs_admins.close();but in that method, you propagate any exceptions that occur out to the caller method, which in turn just prints a stack trace.
So if an exception occurs before you call the rs_admin.close() the result set will never be closed as the statement won't be reached.
I'd add a speific exception handling routine to the admin_getAdmins() method and include a finally clause to close the result set in all cases. You can still onthrow the exception if you want.

Get download error message - but can open download ok
When I download a file from the Internet (using Firefox 3.6.8) I always get the same error message: /Users/Home Folder/Downloads/example subject 7.pdf could not be opened, because an unknown error occurred.
Try saving to disk first and then opening the file.
Yet when I open up the Downloads Folder I can open the file just fine.
Any ideas of how I can fix this glitch?
Thanks,
DantyIf emptying the Firefox cache doesn't work, you may try to find out
what application is set by Firefox to handle the .PDF component
of the process whereby the Firefox browser has another app open
the .PDF. You can choose within the Firefox preference settings to
have certain apps (listed in the Firefox settings) handle certain kinds
of files. By default, some kinds of the common ones formerly dealt
with automatically by older versions of Firefox are not set to do any.
Perhaps a review of Firefox' own settings in its applications, may help.
It may be something else. The browser version reflects new changes.
Since I've always used the option, for the sake of security, for .PDF
and other items to download first and then I can choose to see if I
want to open them, this kind of issue has not been a problem for me.
The 'Clear Recent History' in my Firefox 3.6.8 browser also clears the
Cache and most other items. I use it manually as well as have it set
to clear many things when I close or quit the browser. That may help.
{There also could be a matter in how the Firefox app was installed; if it
were installed via another user account, or if there is another issue in
this matter not directly related to the browser; but in the user accounts.}
I wonder what is selected by your browser as the default handling agent
of the .PDF files. And if you have Preview set, or if you have Acrobat
(reader) also available to the System, as a choice to open those files.
The ability to choose or not choose may be what is messed up. And in
the case of a browser, this choice is done within Firefox browser settings.
There are support files, not where your Firefox bookmarks are kept, that
could be corrupted; and if you totally uninstall Firefox except for your
bookmarks files, then re-install, (and check Firefox apps pref settings)
it may be the final means of correcting such an issue, if it persists.
Once an item has gone through the Download manager, it would be
available to the Finder to handle the file with whatever defaults you
or the system have set to open or read such content.
I've never had that kind of error message, though; even when the more
recent Firefox browser's apps settings were not set to use a chosen app
to perform a function in unison with the browser's newer listed capabilities.
So, that is an odd matter to behold... Could there be a need to perform
general routine and preventative system maintenance on the OS X?
Good luck & happy computing! -
Error -50103 : How can I get the resource which is reserved
I get the error -50103 when I try to start two A0 task on two different channels. The error message tells me that "The specified resource is reserved".
But how can I known what is the specified resource. Is that a clock signal, a buffer or what else ?
More generally, how can I known the resources used by a task ? Is that a VI which can gives me all the resources used by a task?
Thank for your answer

Error -1074388947 with CANOpen Emergency Create
Hi All,
I am attempting to control 15 positioning stages using CANOpen. The newest feature intend to add is to add emergency monitoring to handle errors etc. I have tested this with one stage and all seems to be functioning. I am using the CANOpen library functions.
Unfortunately when I expand to monitoring all 15 stages I get the following error stating that I have exceeded resource memory:
Error -1074388947 occurred at CANopen Emergency Create.vi
Possible reason(s):
NI-CAN: (Hex 0xBFF6202D) Exceeded resource limit for queues in shared memory between firmware/driver. The ncReadMult function is not allowed. Solutions: Decrease queue lengths in objects; Set read queue length to at least 2; Decrease number of CAN Objects.
I have attached a VI snippet which shows the process I am using to control the stages. Essentially I am creating a reference to each node (both for SDO and Emergency - I am not using PDO) and then am passing this through my code to refer to the correct stage. I have included a VI snippet to show how I am creating by references.
In the snippet the 4th element (index 3) in Array 3 shows this error as do all the following arrays in this index. If I change the order of creation - create Emergency loop before SDO create - the error occurs in the same place so the order does not seem to matter.
Is there anything I can change in the way I initialise my code - or indeed my whole architecture - which could improve this? My hardware is a PCI CAN2 Series2 (legacy board). My application does not require me to monitor all stages separately - is there a way I could monitor them all using just one reference/object? I tried Node 0 but this gave an error.
Regards and thanks,
DaveHi Dave,
It does sound like a similar problem to what Tom linked to, I was going to point to the same resource. I would suggest checking that you're not exceeding the limit; and this KB is also helpful in determining the upper limit: How Large Can I Make the Read and Write Queues for NI-CAN?

Maximum open cursors exceeded when inserting to a remote db
I receive the error:
ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded
ORA-02063: preceding line
from ONTARIO
(where ONTARIO is my remote db) when I am performing inserts from a pl/sql procedure to the remote db. I am performing two inserts from inside pl/sql and then issuing an explicit commit. I checked the open_cursors init param on both the local db and remote db and it was set to 300. I bumped up the remote db init param to 600. I was able to perform more inserts but still received this error.
I thought implicit cursors close themselves, especially after a commit. Do I need to do something special to close the cursors on the remote machine?
Thanks for your time...Check which process is making all the cursors on which database. If it is your procedure, try explicitly closing the cursors. I think the cursors are only implicitely closed after the transaction is ended. If you loop and open a cursor within the loop, that might be the problem.
I also had this problem with Java working over a JDBC connection some time ago on a 815 database. If I recall correctly, that was caused by the JDBC driver and fixed by replacing it with a JDBC driver of 9i.
The following script is what I used previously in a program that can draw a graph from the results. It is ugly, but does the job.
Hope this helps,
L.
select

to_number(value)

v$session ses
where
s.statistic#=n.statistic#
and ses.sid=s.sid
and n.name like '%cursor%'
and n.name like '%current%'
and not (ses.sid between 1 and 6) -

TIA,
MikeThe code below is deleting fine. Check your $id is valid. I wonder if ADOdb has some quirks with binding and variable creation/destruction, similar to #1 in http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/php/htdocs/php_troubleshooting_faq.html#bindvars
<?php
See ADOdb Tutorial for Oracle: http://phplens.com/lens/adodb/docs-oracle.htm

insert into mytab values ('London', 'UK');

$db->Parameter($s, $ci, 'ci');

$db->Execute($s);
echo "After:\n";
$rs = $db->Execute("select city from mytab");
while ($arr = $rs->FetchRow()) {
echo $arr['CITY'] . "\n";
?>There's another sample in the ADOdb OCI8 driver:
Usage:
$stmt = $DB->Prepare("insert into table (col0, col1, col2) values (:0, :1, :2)");
$DB->Bind($stmt, $p1);
$DB->Bind($stmt, $p2);
$DB->Bind($stmt, $p3);
for ($i = 0; $i < $max; $i++) {
$p1 = ?; $p2 = ?; $p3 = ?;
$DB->Execute($stmt);
}For queries I know this works. I haven't seen any examples that prepare once.
$rs = $db->Execute("select city from mytab where country_id = :ci", array('ci' => 'UK'));
while ($arr = $rs->FetchRow()) {
echo $arr['CITY'] . "<br>\n";

ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded with Thin and OCI
Hi I have this ERROR :
ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded
ORA-06510: PL/SQL: unhandled user-defined exception
ORA-06512: at line 1
and all the connections show this error, I run the weblogic.Admin RESET_POOL utility
and the problem are fixed !!
Why show this error ?
why with RESET_POOL utility resolve the problem ?
the Oracle Version is Oracle 8.1.7.0 32bits on Solaris 8Mitesh:
I using testConnOnReserve=true and testReleasedConnections=true specify testTableName
when the errors appear , but increse the open_cusror value to 1200, i think is
not the solution, because the DB and Stored Procedure is used by Cold Fusion ,
is the same Application, in Cold Fusion not show this error u other errors with
380 users on the application.
I check to increse the open_cusror and test the application.
thanks

Mitesh Patel <[email protected]> wrote:
You should do couple of things here.
First of all you can increse the open_cusror value to 1200 if it is ok
with you.
Secondly, make sure you are using testConnOnReserve=true and specify
testTableNAme
in your config.xml for your connection pool defination.
Thanks,
Mitesh

WLS 6.1 sp3 on Solaris 8, in init.ora file
session_cached_cursors = 30 and Open_Cursors = 600
Any Idea to resolve the Error and not use manual RESET_POOL utility?
thanks

This is know bug from oracle.
XAResource.recover repeatedly returns the same set of in-doubt
Xids irrespective of the input flag. According to the XA spec, the
Transaction Manager should initially call XAResource.recover with
TMSTARTRSCAN and then call XAResource.recover with
TMNOFLAGS repeatedly until no Xids are returned. This Oracle
bug could lead to infinite recursion and subsequent running out
of Oracle cursors with error "ORA-01000: maximum open cursors
exceeded."
What version of weblogic are you using? What is value for max cursors
in init.ora file
in your dbserver?
Resets the named database ConnectionPool by shutting down and
reestablishing all the allocated connections. This method should
only be called when the connection pool is known to be in a bad
state, for example when the database has been restarted.
By using Reset you are cleaning all bad connections and associated
cursors
with it. That
is why it resolves ora-1000 for you.

Error 503 when I open SharePoint 2013 Site
Hi Export,
I tried to open the Site in SharePoint 2013, I got Error 503 (I can open Central Administration), so I check
1. The services of World Wide Web Publishing is running.
2. IIS restarted.
3. The application Pool of "SharePoint-Portal.Contoso.com80" in IIS status is stopped, I start this then click the site by browser, I got 503 and the pool status changed back to stopped.
Can you help ?
Thanks
James LiangHI james,
1. Ensure that the password provided to the user name for Token application pool is correct.
2. Ensure that the “security Token service application” is in started state
please check the below link for the same resolution,

EPrint - Message Exceeded Size Limit
I received an error message using ePrint that message exceeded size limit. It seems that 5MB is the limit. Are there solutions for larger files, i.e. winzip? Thanks.
Hi Igcgf,
As of right now the size limit is 5 MB as reviewed here about size limits. Also, a winzip file, which may hold supported file types such as PDFs, is not a supported file to be opened up and sorted through for printing purposes. It is best to take files out of the winzip file and attach to an outgoing email to your ePrint address.
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!

I cant run tds220 (driver for oscilloscope).
Error message:
VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF000E) The given session or object reference is invalid.
Furthermore
I cant run Visa INteractive control.
Error message:
"Unable to open session to "ASRL1::INSTR" Return value 0xBFFF0072 Status name VI-ERROE-RSRC-BUSY . VISA csnnot currently access this resource."
Then change ports, this message appears for another port.
Thanks for answer.
GitaThe port is open by another resource. You note that you should also get an error if you try to access the port in hyperterminal. Try rebooting your computer and the first thing you try is opening a VISA session with Visa Interactive control(VISAIC).
If that fails, then you have a driver accessing your ports.
If it works then it was just two applications that were trying to access your port (LabVIEW and VISAIC are seperate apps even thought they both may be using VISA.)
Closing VISA sessions:
LabVIEW will only *automatically* close VISA sessions if you have this option set: Tools>>options>>Automatically close VISA sessions.
Otherwise you need to explicitly call a Visa close on the resource.
