Error -10810 Finder can't be opened

when finder freezes up or w/e and i click 'relaunch' it tells me "The application Finder can't be opened -10810. after which finder doesnt work at all unless i log off and log back in (or restart the computer). any suggestions on how to restart finder without having to log off?

I have recently purchased a brand new imac from the apple store (september) and am having a few really annoying issuesd with it.
Quite often, I am unable to open finder, today being one of those days!
I can open folders that are saved to the desktop, but physically trying to open finder results in an error message popping up

In the last couple of days I have found that I can't shut down. When trying to open Finder I get the following message... The application Finder can't be opened - 10810.
Everything else seems to be OK. However I do have to sign in to Google Mail every time, where in the past it opened up automatically. I am a really novice at fixing problems, so any help would be great.

I found tons of forums talking about the -10810 issues but never found one talking about -600
I had recently clean installed mountain lion, soon after that I got this 'the application "finder" can't be opened" issues. Some says it happens after the lateast 10.8.2 update. A forum says the solution is delete the finder prefs file. I did and everything was fine for 2 weeks then it happened again just now. When I search for answers online again, I noticed everyone's discussing the problem -10810, but my macbook pro pop up -600 instead:

So I don't know if the -10810 solution will be the same as -600 issues
I can open folders by double clicking it. However when I click the Finder.app dock icon, it will not switch to Finder, but if I use Command + Tab, it'll switch to Finder.app
Also if I click "open in finder" on the dock's stacks, the above -600 error message pops up, so Finder still works but cannot open from dock actions.
I can forced quit Finder but it cannot be open again from the dock icon, it doesn't solve the issue even if I reboot my Macbook Pro.
Is there any solutions? or I just need to keep deleting the finder's preps everytime this happens?

This happens to me on various apps. Firefox, Calculator, really any app. Randomly. The -600 dialog can not be focused though it is always on top. So I can't click "ok" ... I can't find the process in the terminal to kill it either. Fortunately I can save my work... But the only option I have is to restart the machine. It has to be the most annoying bug I think I've ever seen and nearly renders OS X useless.

Application Finder can not be opened

Last night I went to my Mac Pro running 10.6.8 and discovered all of the icons on my Desktop have disappeared. When I clicked the Finder in the Dashboard, I get "Application Finder can not be opened -10810". The menu bar at the top of the screen only appears when I have an application like Safari running. I have run Disk Utility and Repair permissions and they say everything is fine. Don't want to just flounder around.

Disconnect all devices from the computer then do the following:
Boot up from your Snow Leopard Install DVD while holding down the "c" key.
Select the language you wish to use, and then choose "Disk Utility" from the menu bar.
Your HD should appear in a panel on the left hand side of the window which opens. Select it and then click on the "repair disk" button in the right hand section of the window.
Once this process has been completed restart your computer and repair permissions directly from Disk Utility.
If Disk Utility is unable to complete the repair, you will need to use a stronger 3rd party utility like DiskWarrior, Techtool PRO (not Deluxe) or Drive Genius.

I have not used my iMac in a week. Today when I clicked on Finder this message appeared:
"The Application Finder Can't Be Opened - 10810". Finder version 10.6.8. The other issue today is all my folders had disappeared from my desktop. The files are all here, but the folders don't show up.
Anyone have this problem in the past and can provide me with help on how to resolve the problem?

I Am using ODI 11g to load data from Oracel to Oracel database using different schemas as a source to load facts.
for the first time its loading sucessfully and when i try to open the same interface to see the mapping its showing the errror like *"Internam error Occured mapping can not be opened"*
Tis is very urgent to resolve as per my project neeed.
Please suggest steps : how to resolve the issue.

While the iTunes app is being updated, you are correct, it cannot be opened.
This is true of all Apple apps on your Mac.
iTunes is not very large compared to other apps. Let it update, then open it.

It's now confirmed that iWeb and iDVD have been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. HOWEVER, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:

◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search

◼ MobileMe Gallery
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
I found that if I published my site to a folder on my hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed were broken. If I published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. In addition the iLife suite of applications offered on disc is now a discontinued product and the remaining supported iApps will only be available thru the App Store from now on.
HOWEVER, the iLife 11 boxed version that is still currently available at the online Apple Store (Store button at the top of the page) and those copies still on the shelves of retailers will include iWeb and iDVD.

I force quit pages and now I get an error saying it "can't be opened"

My computer was acting up, do I saved the document I was working on and restarted. Once I restarted I went to reopen the document and I got an error stating it "can't be opened". So I tried to restart again, saying that pages wasn't quitting and I had to force quit before I could restart (even though pages wasn't opening). So I did the force quit and it's still not opening, I'm getting the same error message and I really need to get into this document and finish it before a deadline. HELP PLEASE.

I just updated my OS X to Yosemite. When the computer restarted, all my icons were gone from my desktop and every time I try to open Finder I get a message saying "Finder can't be opened". Anyone know how to solve this?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
