Hi,
when I try to run a Maxl script against an ASO application to aggeragate the cube. I end up with an error msg as shown below.
ERROR - 1270031 - Failed to select any new views or all views that you requested to build exist already.
Please guide me on what caused this issue.
Thanks
Sathish

If you re-run this statement and there are already aggregated views then the chances are it will not find anymore views that would keep it within the 1.5 limit. So you can do as Glenn suggested and drop the aggregations and re-run your script, or you can up the 1.5 to 3.0 or something**.
** Obviously this means that more disk space will be taken up by your ASO cube.

Check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. If you have any installed, turn that off, relaunch Safari.
If it's not Extensions, check for third party Safari add ons.

Cannot download new versions of iTuens to Windows Vista 64 bit.  Get message: Error writing to file c:\Config.Msi\a84617.rbf.  Verify that you have access to that directory.

Are you running Kaspersky security software on that PC? (There's been a few reports in recent times of Kaspersky interfering with iTunes installs, with that message being produced.)
If there is Kaspersky on board, we should try some general-principles getting-past-security-software-interference troubleshooting.
Download and save a fresh copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (32-bit installer file) or iTunes64Setup.exe to your Hard drive. (Don't run the install on line, and don't start the install just yet.)
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Restart the PC. After the PC restarts do not open any applications. Disconnect from your network and/or the internet. Now switch off all your security software (firewall, antivirus, antispyware).
Now start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) file you downloaded earlier.
Reenable all security software prior to reconnecting to your network and/or the internet.
Any better luck with the security software shut down?

  • "Error writing to file: C:\config.msi\3a3043.rbf. Verify that you have access to that directory. "

I keep getting this error when trying to update iTunes: "Error writing to file: C:\config.msi\3a3043.rbf. Verify that you have access to that directory."  iTunes will not work.  Any time I try to apply settings iTunes locks up.  Anyone know how to fix this?

I had this exact same problem just now, trying to upgrade to 10.7.
I even got that error msg when trying to UNINSTALL iTunes!
After hours of frustration trying everyone's different suggestions, I downloaded Revo Uninstaller http://www.cnet.com.au/apps/revo-uninstaller-10610875/ which solved the problem.
Use it to help uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    1. iTunes
    2. QuickTime
    3. Apple Software Update
    4. Apple Mobile Device Support
    5. Bonjour
    6. Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Then you can install iTunes from scratch.
    Good luck

Every time I try and update to the latest version, I get an error messages saying to manually do it from tools menu. After doing that, I get an error message saying "error writing to file c:\config.msi\22be9d65.rbf. Verify that you have access to that directory." I am the sole user on this computer and have full administrative rights to my computer. Why am I getting this? If there are no suggestiong on how to fix this issue, is there a way to turn apple update OFF?! I have Windows 7 Home Premium.

  • Does studio display CRT work with any new machine at all??

My old G4 just died. I got a mini but can't figure out how to connect it to this 17" CRT. Is there any new machine compatible with this old CRT? Do I have to find another G4 to work with it or do I have to dump it?
    Please help

Thanks hsurfer. The link you have provided gives a helpful insight. Those with the macbook pro are able to switch from their 9400 graphics card to the better 9600 graphics card, which resolves the issue, at least with the samsung monitor. We who have the macbook however do not have the option. The problem does seem to clearly emanate from the macbook graphic card, lets hope that a fix is still around the corner, the latest firmware update clearly did not resolve it.
Im still looking for success stories, anyone who can say that their specific external 22'/24' monitor works fine with the new macbook?
    kind regards

  • List Views - Update all views on mass.

    Hi
I have a Sharepoint List which has a large number of Views set up to allow different teams to work with the data contained and not run the risk of impacting on each other's data.
I've now had to add 2 new columns onto the List which are needed on each view.  Is there a nice simple way (i.e no coding) of doing this within Sharepoint 2010 on mass rather than having to go into each one and select the new columns?
    Cheers

    You can try using powershell
    http://sharepoint.jsturges.com/2012/09/add-column-to-default-view-using-powershell/
if you wanted to do using coding, You can use work with SPView.ViewFields property to add additional fields to your view.

Any good video tutorial that you can recommend to get a good overview

Also, are there other logic pro 8 forums that you can recommend?
    thanks

Oh, no! Aren't we good enough? — I guess not. There's always the manual, but I see what you mean.
There are loads of Logic tutorials on YouTube, although the quality is variable. I don't understand why these people don't edit out the mistakes & the bits where nothing happens for 30 seconds… it's not as if they aren't already using the very tools they need for exactly that job!

I am not sure what is going on, but I need help ASAP!

soon as you start up the computer, keep hitting the F1 key.  That should get you into the BIOS.
Also, try disabling Active System Protection for your freezing issues.  I'm using XP so  I don't know where to tell you to find it in Vista.

  • Way to only backup new songs, not all songs that we backed up before?

I know this isn't a forum for my specific external harddrive, but I'm hoping one of you brilliant people might be able to help me. Every time I add a new song to my iPod, I back up my music files (as found by viewing/saving the "hidden" music files in the iPod_Control folder when viewing the iPod as a disk drive). I like backing my songs up this way because the hidden files contain everything that I've saved to the song files (album art, artist, etc.), so if I ever need to re-add these songs to iTunes, I won't need to add these things again. However, copying ALL of these files to my external harddrive takes FOREVER. Unfortunately, these files aren't labeled with the name of the song or artist, they're simply letters and numbers, such as F05, so I have no idea which file is which song. Does anybody have any tips for distinguishing when these files were created/what's in them or how I can only back up NEW data-things I haven't backed up previously? I'd really appreciate ANY tips!
Dell Dimension 8400   Windows XP   20 GB Color iPod

Rarely would one want/need to 'backup' the actual iPod. It is easier to just backup your iTunes system from the PC.
The generally accepted method of iPod/iTunes use is to:
    - Have the complete Library contained within iTunes on the PC
    - Have a complete or partial Library on the iPod
    - Have a complete backup of the iTunes Library stored externally
If anything happens to the iPod's music (which is very possible), just re-sync to your iTunes. If anything happens to your iTunes music, just recover from your backup files.
Transferring data to/from the iPod itself outside of iTunes is slow and usually confusing.
If you want to completely backup you music Library, see this post as a start:
    http://discussions.apple.com/click.jspa?searchID=-1&messageID=1350956
    - Backup all music files
    - Backup the Library metadata database file
    - Backup the .pref files of iTunes (not as critical)
    - Make an XML copy of your Ratings, Play Counts and Last Played attributes for all files (See: http://discussions.apple.com/click.jspa?searchID=-1&messageID=1339320 ) This is a redundant partial copy of the ITL metadata file information.
Your method will work, but it sure is a back-end around a rather simple process.
    BTW:
Song attributes stored directly in each music file are as follows: Artist, Album, Song Title, Year, Comments, Compilation tag, Lyrics, Genre , Grouping, Composer, BPM, Album Artwork, Bit Rate & Kind (Both not tags - inherent to the file itself).
Song attributes stored in the iTunes Library database file only are: Playlists, Ratings, Play Count, Last Played, Date Added, Date Modified, Equalizer, Volume Adjustment.
