Error 13042 while trying to install

When first trying to download reader X I was getting error: The download did not pass the integrity check (16299.304.450) at 83%
Checked here on these fourms for a solotion and found get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise . That link worked for downloading however I am now getting the error 13042 while trying to install.
Running Windows 7 on an Asus F3JP notebook. Thats about all I can tell you, if you would like more info please let me know, you may have to tell me where to find it though.

This error is related to the failed extraction of the compressed files.
My best guess is that your download is corrupted.
Try to download "MSI" version of the installer from Adobe FTP (the links are posted in this forum frequently), which would get you to 10.0.0
Than you can manually update to 10.0.1

Did you remember to completely power cycle the entire network?
You would want to do this after any update or change to the network.
If you did not do this yet......things are out of sequence.
Power off everything on the network.....all devices.....power down order is not important
Wait a few minutes
Start the modem first and let it run a minute or two by itself
Start the next device connected to the modem the same way
Work your way out on the network starting each device about a minute apart
Check the network

Keep getting the same error message while trying to install iTunes

Hey guys. I keep on getting this error while trying to install any new kind of itunes version:
*Could not open key HKEYLOCALMACHINE/SOFTWARE/microsoft/windows/currentversion/run. Verify that you have sufficent access to that key, or contact your support personnel*
Any idea what to do? I'm helpless here. Any help would be appreciated.

An ERROR occurred while trying to install OTPC

Hi guys,
I want to install OTPC in my machine in order to do do the following tutorial
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18941_01/tutorials/jdtut_11r2_98/jdtut_11r2_98_1.html.
I get "TPC-90019: Cannot connect to the specified database" error while trying to test the JDBC URL for tpc schema in the OTPC installation process.
I have installed tpc schema in my machine and successfully connect to it using Toad software.
Can anyone please make me enlightened about what is happening here.

What is the JDBC URL you've used? Also, have tried creating tpc user as mentioned in the prerequisites?
Have created a Team Productivity Center (TPC) user in your database (with tpc/tpc for the username/password) granted with admin rights. -Arun

We are getting an error while installing Smartview 11.1.2:

User has admin rights, Windows XP and Office 2003.

Error message while trying to install application on emulator

Hi,
I developed a midlet (called Testing.jad; it will connect to a servlet and display something on the mobile phone once launched) and I was trying to install it on the emulator.
But the installation failed and I got this error message:
Testing.jad cannot be installed because critical information between the website and the application file does not match.
I have no idea what has gone wrong. Does anyone have an idea?

I keep getting an error message while trying to install itunes on my new windows 7 (64 bit)

During the install i receive this error message.
Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
It gives me the options to Abort, Retry, or Ignore.
I have attempted to retry and it just comes back. I have tried to ignore this and the install does not complete properly.
I am using firefox to do this download. Could this be causing a problem.
What do I need to do?

HELP...error 1935 while trying to install Lightroom 4

I have tried installing my purchased disc to run Lightroom 4 and I keep getting this message...error 1935. I have verified that Windows 7 is activated and have even tried to download the trial version to no avail. Please help. I adaquate with computers but not advanced.

Multiple error messages while trying to instal cs5 from CD

Hello!
I have tried to chat with an expert about this 3 times and can never connect with anyone. Hopefully someone here will respond!
I have the CS5 design standard disc set. I had some trouble installing Adobe Acrobat, but was finally successful. However I cannot get the rest of the programs to install and I don't understand why.
"Installer failed to initialize. File Not Found. Please contact adobe support advisor to detect the problem." I click "get adobe support advisor" and it takes me to a webpage stating that support advisor has been discontinued. This happens repeatedly for a few days then suddenly, the installation starts! I get almost all the way through when it shuts down and gives me yet another error message. Now it won't open and either says to contact the support advisor or that I am running another version of adobe installer. I have tried restarting multiple times.
What can I do?

copy the installation files from your cd to a desktop directory. install from the desktop directory.
if you see the same 'installer failed to initialize':
start at the top and work your way down applying applicable fixes until your problem is resolved.

if, your error is:
"Installer failed to initialize. File not found." or "Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to missing files."
first, rename OOBE Folder to OOBE.old.
to find OOBE:
64 bit win OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
32 bit win OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
mac os: HD>library>application support>adobe>caps
mac os: USER>library>application support>adobe>OOB
if that fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
if you're using a dvd to install:
copy the disc contents to a desktop directory and install from that directory.
if you're using a mac:
1. Try to Create a new user account in Mac with Administrator Priviledges.
2. Login to the New user, Navigate to Mac HD> Application> Utilities> Adobe Installer folder, Locate products like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and un-install them
3. Navigate to User Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
4. Navigate to Mac HD> Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
5. Start the installation again.
if everything applicable above fails, check your installation logs:

Error message while trying to install iTunes 7.02

i have the following problem:
i bought the new IPod-Shuffle generation 2. In order to use it, i had to install iTunes 7.0.2
The installtion is not working for me because the installation routine tries to de-install the previous version, but the de-installer rountine of the previous version is supposed to be not on my computer. The installtion routine can't find the de-installtion rountine of the old version and this results in the abort of the complete installation.
Any idea to clean my computer in a way the installtion programm will not mention that an old version was already installed?
I already cleaned the registry.

okay, let's try this first.
first head into your Add/Remove programs and try to uninstall your QuickTime. if it goes, good ... if not, we'll attend to it when we attend to your itunes.
next, Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. then use it to clear any existing itunes and/or QuickTime installation configuration information from your PC:

Next, we’ll manually remove leftover program files and folders. use the instructions from the following document as a guide to that:
Removing iTunes and QuickTime for Windows
now restart the PC and try another itunes install. does it go through properly this time?
