Error 1322 uninstalling NiDaq 6.8

I am trying to install LabVIEW 7 Express on a PC that already has versions 5.1.1 & 6i installed.  The installation program for 7 Express fails and instructs me to remove NiDaq version 6.8 before trying to install 7 Express again.  The problem is that when I try to uninstall NiDaq 6.8 I get the following error:  "Error 1322. A portion of the folder path " exceeds the length allowed by the system." Now I can't install 7 Express and I can't uninstall 6.8. How do I proceed from here?

I am having a similar problem.
1)  I am trying to install device drivers on a computer with LV 8.2 AND LV 6.  I had the same problem as gdhanson and others,
     and receive the message that I should uninstall NIDAQ 6.8, and when I tried to do that, received the
     message "Error 1322. A portion of the folder path etc etc"
2)  I followed the threads on previous such discussions, and tried the remedy proposed by Darren Nattinger,
     NI Applications Engineer, on a posting dated 7/11/2001.  He suggested modifying a batch file killlv.bat to point
     to the executable file mszap.exe, run the batch file, and it would delete all necessary files.
     I did this, and now LV 6 has been uninstalled.  It no longer shows up under the programs when I run
    Add/Delete files.
3)  However, the original problem is still there.  When I tried install the device drivers, it STILL says
     NIDAQ 6.8 is present and must be removed.  Under Add/Remove programs, however,
     there is no LV6 and nothing that lists NIDAQ 6.8 as a component. 
4)  Are there any other suggestions?
5)  I think it is unnecessary to call this problem "rare."  It clearly will happen to the valued customers
     who are trying to upgrade from LV 6.  It is unfortunate that such a longstanding problem has not
     been addressed.

    Hi Evan,
    I'm not sure exactly what's wrong here... but based on past experience, here's some things you may want to try.
    - Make sure you are in administrator mode, when doing this install.
    - If you are installing from a CD, sometimes I have seen this error when the CD is corrupt. You may want to download the driver from our website, and try to install it again. Or you can try to copy the contents of the CD to your hard disk and install it from the harddrive.

    Since I've upgraded my computer with Windows 2000 professional, and interupted once the install, I can't install Labview 6 anymore.
    I get error 1322 from the installer, even when i install plain Labview files (no ivi, nidaq etc.)
    Darren's solutions doesn't work

    First of all let's make sure that we have a clean computer, that is I suppose you don't have more NI software on it so you may want to check that in your hard drive you don't have any National Instruments folder under the Program Files directory. And best of all you may want to check your Windows Registry, NOTE: This is very delicate so you must be careful. Go to Start >> Run.. type: "regedit" and enter, first of all make a backup copy of this file... then browse through: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >> SOFTWARE >> National Instruments.... you should not have this folder if you haven't install LabVIEW... so you may delete it... "ONLY THIS FOLDER (National Instruments)"..., once you finish close the registry.... and reboot the computer... once back re-check all what
    we have done here.... and if everything is ok then let's proceed again to install LabVIEW... if you get the same error please try to install LabVIEW (plain files again, not any driver) in another machine to know if the CD is damaged or not... this type of installation problem Ronald can also be better troubleshoot by phone, the information to contact us is at... www.ni.com/ask , and if there is a need to call us then tell the person in the line about this procedures that you have already tried.

  • ERROR in uninstall of odac 11.2.0.2.1 xcopy 64bit on win7 64bit

    Today I try to load oracle.dataaccess.dll in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_64\Oracle.DataAccess\v4.0_4.112.2.0__89b483f429c47342, but not success. Then I try to uninstall ODP.net4, after uninstallation, I found the error in uninstall.log. I uninstall 4.112.2.0, but it loaded 4.112.3.0. What's wrong?

    Are you able, from that same dos prompt, to open D:Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\CONFIG\machine.config with notepad (ie, just type notepad machine.config ) , make a change, and save it? I ran into this once before, and in that case the customer was also unable to edit the file via Notepad. I never did find out the root cause in that case, as the assumption was that it was a non-Oracle issue at that point and once the issue seen with Notepad was resolved the ODAC bat file install would also work, and I never heard back after that.

    Also, when you say UAC set to allow everything, I assume you mean you disabled UAC. Did you reboot after disabling it?

    This problem is probably resulting from a faulty install module with NI-VISA...you could verify this if you try the install without NI-VISA and it works properly. Anyway, to fix the problem, please follow these steps:
    1. Run the "instmsi.exe" program from your LabVIEW CD.
    2. Detach the file below to your hard drive.
    3. Go to Start >> Run, and type the following:
    msiexec /i "path to lv60.msi" TRANSFORMS="path to visafix.mst"
    Where the paths within the quotes are the actual paths to the lv60.msi file (on your CD-ROM) and your visafix.mst file (which you detached somewhere on your hard drive). Once you've done this, the LabVIEW installation will start, and hopefully you will not encounter the error again.
    If you do continue to have problems, howev
    er, I recommend you install LabVIEW without NI-VISA, then go to our website and download and install NI-VISA separately.

  • Error When Uninstalling HP LJ 1020n Software on Windows 7 (x64)

    When attempting to uninstall the HP LJ 1020n software downloaded from the HP product page for this device (HP LaserJet Hostbased Plug and Play Basic Driver) for Windows 7 (x64) I receive the following error while uninstalling:
    "Setup Encountered an abnormal program execution. Setup will shutdown."
    Any thoughts and/or comments would be greatly appreciated. 

    Same problem HP1022n laserjet on Win7 64bit.  uninstall generates "Setup Encountered an abnormal program execution. Setup will Shutdown."
    The problem that I am trying to fix is that this PC - HP Touchsmart TX2 can no longer print to the 1022n.  Other PCs on the network are able to print without difficulty.
    I'm trying to get this user to be able to print, and HP says "uninstall / re-install" - and I can't.
    Any help or suggestions out there?

    What is the complete error message? Are you using Windows or Mac? Did you try to disable anti virus while installing Adobe Muse?

    The scenario is this:
    1. Create and AddOn and AddOn Installed using B1DE's B1 AddOn Installer Setup .NET template.
    2. Register the AddOn in B1
    3. Restart B1 to install AddOn
    4. Modify the AddOn and create a new installer (creating new project, modifying the Product Key and using the same Upgrade Key);
    5. Uninstall previous version
    6. Register new version
    7. Restart B1 to install newer version
    8. In client machines open B1 to uninstall older version and install the newer.
    On step 8, in some machines, I get this error while uninstalling the previous version. I apologize for the error being in Portuguese. I'll try to reproduce the error in a machine running English OS.
    The question. Does any body come across this error before? How can I avoid it?

    A máquina onde ocorreu este problema era antiga e entretanto foi substituida e este erro deixou de acontecer.
    O sistema operativo dessa máquina era o Windows XP e este erro ocorreu com  a versão 2007 do SAP B1.
    Pela imagem que enviou, penso que a situação é semelhante.
    Nas máquinas mais recentes e com Windows Vista este problema ainda não ocorreu, que eu tenha conhecimento.

    The machine where this problem occurred was old and was replaced and the error stopped happening.
    The operating system of this machine was Windows XP and this error occurred with the 2007 version of SAP B1.
    For the picture you sent, I think the situation is similar.
    In more recent machines with Windows Vista this problem has not occurred yet.

  • Error after uninstalling the SAP Integration Kit XI 3.0 on Unix

    Hi all,
    I have uninstalled the SAP Integration Kit XI 3.0 on a single solaris server installation. Uninstall was done exactly as instructed in the manual and everything looked ok.
    Now when I try to go to the login page of CMC or InfoView I get an error:
    type Status report
    message /PartnerPlatformService/service/app/logon.do
    description The requested resource (/PartnerPlatformService/service/app/logon.do) is not available.
    Is the login page trying to look for the SAP authentication page that was removed ?
    Is there some configuration still remaining somewhere that needs to be removed so I get the old login page back ?

  • File not found error on Uninstall

    Hi,
    Got a problem with the deinstallation of Labviewer. I deployed Labviewer with all moduls using the setup.exe's and specfiles.
    Installation worked fine and the software runs well.
    But when I try to uninstall running "uninst.exe /log C:\temp\uninst.log /qb /x all"
    It immediatly starts with an error stating "File not found RegDeleteKey" (see Attachment).
    Judging by ProcMon and ProcessExplorer the Exception i caused from the nirg.exe.
    If I click ok, the deinstallation goes on and finishes. Anyone an Idea on this topic?

    Yes that is excactly the problem.
    The System is Windows 7 64Bit (Enterprise) and I used Labviewer 12. We installed all Modules from the 4 DVDs provided , as this was requested by the department which will use the software.
    The error itself seems to be connected to the NIRG module. If I leave NIRG out from the installation, the deinstallation of all other modules works without an error.

    These issues are caused if the virtual package is used during the attempt to uninstall.
    SFTMIME is a legacy command-line interface for App-V 4.6, not supported for usage with App-V 5 (which is the only version that supports Office 2013).
    App-V 5.0 SP2 has introduced the ability to divert required actions to next logoff / reboot depending on publishing, if the package is in use.
