Error 1335 iPod.cab is corrupt

When trying to install iTunes 6, I get the following error:
iTunes Error: Error 1335. The cabinet file 'iPod.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.
Abort, Retry, Ignore
I've attempted to download this installer mulitple times. I even tried downloading it from a seperate NIC since I saw one guy had an nvidia firewall issue. I am attempting to install it from my desktop folder and I'm also on the administrator profile on this PC. I'm running WinXP SP2. No firewalls up.
I've tried the Microsoft Cleanup utility, but itunes nor quicktime were listed. I've deleted all reg keys associated with apple. My system is totally void of all Apple related installations.
I tried to install the iPod software seperately and succeeded. If I hit retry a few times, the progress bar goes all the way across before I have to hit ignore. I then get a white x with a red circle saying Internal Error 2350. The installation rolls back and another message comes up.
Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation.

I'm at a loss.

I finally figured it out. All those temp directories in the other posts don't get down to the solutions.
First, I have a built in nvidia firewall on one of my nics. I switched nics and redownloaded the itunes installer. I then went to the properties of the installer.
If you look at the comments of the installer, you may see something like this:
Setup=iTunesSetup.exe
Silent=2
Path=.\%windir%\Downloaded Installations\{872653C6-5DDC-488B-B7C2-CF9E4D9335E5}
Overwrite=2
So, I went to my c:\windows\downloaded installations\ folder and deleted that folder that started with 872..
Since I did that, the installer went through like nothing else.
iTunes is now working and installing successfully. I hope this helps for anyone else.

Exactly the same problem. error 1335 iTunes.cab is corrupted.
Solution: uninstall Quicktime and delete all the iTunes files that iTunes uninstaller fails to delete.
1. Control Panel -> Add/remove programs -> Quicktime -> uninstall
2. Rt click on START and select "Search...". Search for "iTunes". (include advanced: hidden and system files). Delete every file found except the Library ones and the folders.
3. Shutdown / Restart
4. Download iTunes 6 again. and Install.
I also downloaded an update to Windows Installer from the microsoft site again, as there was a problem with the version from SP2.

I have Photoshop Premiere 8 and would like to install it on my new computer Windows 8. I receive error message 1335 during installation. I have downloaded Photoshop files 3 times, followed web instructions to try again and again (e.g. disabled start up files and services files, deleted old copies, re-started, etc.). Actually I have had this problem ever since I bought Version 8 but did not use it as I did not need it (managed with easier programs). Now I need it and still cannot install it. Program was bought online from Adobe.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 fails to install. Premiere Elements 8 loaded as expected.

It looks like the CD is damaged. You could try copying the entire CD on to your hard disk in a temporary folder and then launch the setup.exe file by double clicking on it.
Can you do this? Please post back.
Whether 5 can run in Windows 7 is something I don't know. You just have to try it.

I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). I was having the same problem that a lot of people are having after upgrading to 6.0 or whatever the new version is. iTunes would not open. It hope sof alleviting the problem, i unistalled itunes and quicktime and downloaded a new copy. Now I get the error message:

Installation error 1335 PSE9

When reinstalling PSE9 after disk crash, I get error 1335, Data1.cab is corrupt, during installation of Organizer. Tried Cleaning Temp folder and Clean Boot, but same problem. Tried copying CD to harddrive - no problem.

Ned:I ran across those suggestions on the web. I tried all of them and none of them worked. I installed several programs, including your main competitor and had no problems. I also installed Photoshop Elements 6 with no problems. I tried a trial version of PS 12 and had the same problem. In each case it occurred when installing the organizer I don't like the organizer and never use it. Is it possible to bypass the organizer during the installation process?

Data3.cab corrupt error 1335

New installation from DVD got error 1335: data3.cab corrupt. I pressed the ignore option and got error 2350: FDI server error - then I have to abort installation. Turned off Norton and also downloaded DVD to my HDD and run from there but same problem. The DVD doesn't look damaged but I wiped it anyway and still no joy. Please help with suggestions.

that's a windows (not adobe) error usually caused by a corrupted cabinet file. download a pse 12 trial to get an uncorrupted installation file.

Help with installation error 1335 -- Acrobat XI Pro

This weekend I've attempted to install a purchased copy of Acrobat XI Pro to a machine running Windows XP SP3. Each time I received the error "error 1335 Data1.cab file is corrupt...". This happened 3 times, including with the anti-virus and firewall software turned off. This morning however, the same disk installed on a machine running Windows 7. Is there any way to work around this error on the XP machine (we've purchased additional licenses from Univ. of Oklahoma IT Store)?

Installation from the Feb/03 Cd stalled after several retrys after error 1335 - File 'Cabs.W1.cab' corrupt.

Problem solved - seemed to be a problematic CD drive. A new try from a shared CD drive on the LAn worked slow, but worked. Sorry for bothering you!

Okay so I'm trying to update my iTunes and I got Error 1335 which is a corrupt .cab file, I tried to download a CAB repair program but it costs 50 more dollars than I have to my name. Does anyone know anything about fixing this for well free?
