Error 1450 cope purchased itunes to ipod

Attempting to copy purchased cd to my ipod I end up with the 1450 error.  A real pain.

I am having the same problem! Although I can't help you, I was hoping that you could send me the responses you get when someone who knows how to fix the problem responds to you. Could you do that?

  • Error message when syncing Itunes with Ipod

I bought a new laptop and it has Vista. I have downloaded Itunes 8 and updated QT.
When I try and update my Ipod it wants to delete all files and replace as it used to be synced with my old PC.
I get part way through and get an error message -1303 and then the sync terminates. It did this with only 300 tracks from the 2600 available to download.
Any ideas what the error number may relate to? I have searched all over apple site but no easy reference to this.
    Any help much appreciated

  • Cannot copy purchased itunes to ipod.

I purchased two songs off of the itunes store to my playlist. I cannot copy these itunes to my ipod. I keep getting this message, "Some of the songs in the iTunes music library, including the song... were not copied to the ipod... because you are not authorized to play them on this computer." I only have one computer and have only been working on one and have only had my new ipod hooked up to this one computer. I looked at my itunes account and it says that, "only one machine is authorized to play music purchased with this account." I only purchased this music to listen to on my ipod. I am very confused about why I can't do this and why this isn't as easy as 123. All I want to do is listen to my ipod with music purchased from itunes. Please help!

I have a question along the same lines. I had all my songs on my Dell Inspiron 9100 that crashed bad. I bought a new one, Dell Latitude D420. I did buy a third party software that I was able to load in my new Dell. All the songs show up in the library but I get the same message as not being authorized. I sign in and it says allowe but does not transfer to ipod or allow me to play on my laptop. Any suggestions, Thanks.

  • Error after itunes copies songs to my ipod

I am receiving the error message:Attempting to copy to the disk "My IP" failed. An unknown error occurred.
I just brought my ipod to the genius bar yesterday to have them fix another problem, and they had to re format the hard drive. brought it home and everything was working fine, it was copying music to my ipod, but after 5 or 10 minutes of copying... that error message came up, and the "do not disconnect" icon on my ipod freezes. I have to reset the ipod to get out of it. thanks for listening!

I had the same exact issue after returning from having the genius bar reformat my iPod yesterday. Now I cannot restore my iPod software because the updater doesn't recognize that it is connected. I have reinstalled both iTunes and iPod updater multiple times to no avail. My PC recognizes the iPod as a disk drive, but it does not show up in I Tunes either. Thanks for any assistance.

  • Purchased songs not showing up in iTunes or iPod

I have purchased many songs from iTunes, both on my computer and on my iPhone over the past year or so.  However, only some of them are showing up in iTunes and iPod.  I have receipts still from iTunes stating that I paid and purchased them and they were even in my library and on my iPod for some time but I went to listen to a couple of songs yesterday and couldn't find them anywhere; both browsing for the song and the artist.  I went to my computer to see if they where there to re-sync but they were not in my library either.  I'm not sure what happened to them as I haven't done anyting different.  I tried restarting my iPhone and, closing and reopening iPod and even rebooting the computer, still nothing.  I have red some threads stating that you should change the language to French, did that, still nothing.  I'm not sure what the issue is but I have proof that I paid for the songs but they are no longer around.  I'm very frustrated!  Any help would be great.
I've also been experiencing issues with updating the software.  Sometimes I get a timed out error which is odd since I have an internet connection with no issues.  It gets all the way to the end and won't complete.  I try two or three times and give up and then the next day I may try again and it will work without issues.  I have the iPhone 4 and have software update 4.3.2 but have not successfully done the 4.3.3 yet as I keep getting the update error and it's driving me insane!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

on the computers itunes click on the iTunes Store.
then click Purchased under quick links on the right.
you can then select Not In My Library and download anything you're missing from there.

  • Error downloading videos purchased on iTunes store

I recently upgraded to the 30GB iPod w/ video. I purchased a couple of videos from the iTunes store and when I attempt to download I get an error message: "There was an error downloading you purchased music. The disk could not be read from or written to." I even went as far as removing my old software and reloading the new disk. Can someone help me out? My laptop is pretty full but I've still got 9GB free.

No, but thanks for the help. I checked and it is not read only. It is a corporate laptop. Could it have to do with the security selections?

  • ITunes won't synch 80 songs at 128 kbps despite having 5.5 GB of space on iPod. iTunes or iPod error?

My 4th gen 30 GB iPod has 5.5 GB of space on it (this is what iTunes says before I hit sync). I want to add about 80 songs to be automatically downconverted to 128 kbps. When I try to update iPod, iTunes indicates iPod is overcapacity by over 19 GB and won't add new songs. Something is not right with either iTunes or iPod. Is anyone else having the same problem?
All I have is music on the iPod. No apps, no games, no movies, just music.
I just subscribed to iTunes Match. Could this be the reason why this is happening? Is anyone else having the same problem?

I'm having similar problems. Up until 4 May 2009 when I installed Windows 7 RC1 on it, I had one XP SP3 PC which was running iTunes properly and syncing and autofilling my iPod shuffle. The laptop described below no longer let me run or re-install itunes on it since I upgraded it to XP SP3. When I switched to Windows 7 RC1 on the XP desktop that was running iTunes properly, I was able to re-authorize that PC for iTunes 8.1 (64 bit) but after that, could not sync nor autofill, nor restore the ipod, but I could buy songs and play all my songs under Windows 7 RC1. Yesterday (Friday 15 May 2009) I got a new HP Compaq 6735s 2 GB RAM 160 MB HD, Vista Home Basic laptop and today installed a fresh download of iTunes 8.1 on it. Now that laptop won't let me even authorize iTunes on it. Any time I do anything in iTunes that involves contacting the web, it comes back with unknown error -3212 unable to contact server. This comes up when I try to authorize, and when I try to play some of my purchased songs on the laptop -- it demands that I authorize the laptop then tells me I can't (error -3212). Also when I try to restore the ipod, I get the same -3212 error trying to get to the update server. I turned off both the windows firewall and stopped the McAfee firewall but that didn't help. I renamed the Hosts file also without result. There doesn't appear to be a tech support email address or trouble reporting web form that can be used to report this and the search and troubleshooting FAQs on the itunes website seem to be pretty useless in resolving this. The phone numbers are either sales related or they want $59 an incident to give me a call back. Seems like Apple is drifting into the Yahoo and Google approach to tech support -- basically, "discuss your problems among yourselves, suckers, we're too busy raking in the cash to bother with your problems."

  • Problem syncing from iTunes to iPod - authorisation error.

42 of 625 songs won't transfer to iPod when trying to sync. I've got the latest version of iTunes, reset & restored my iPod & made sure my PC is authorised, but error window states "you are not authorised to play these songs on this computer". Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks.

    Hi Firefly999,
Have you tried re-authorizing your computer? To do that:
First off, disconnect your iPod from your computer.
From the Store menu in iTunes, click on Deathorize computer....
Enter in your Apple ID & password to deauthorize ths computer.
Then, go back to the Store menu again, and this time select Authorize computer....
    This time, authorize your computer.
Close iTunes and any other running applications, and save your data. Restart your computer.
After your computer has fully loaded up, open iTunes, and connect your iPod to your computer.
Try syncing those purchases to your iPod, and see if there's any difference with this problem.

  • Error 1450: library falsly corrupted, can't restore ipod

every time I start itunes it gives me this error 1450 and starts reimporting all of my music because my library is damaged. If I close itunes and delete both damaged and new libraries and restore it from a backup (identical to one itunes just told me was damaged) it starts fine. Then it tells me that the library cannot be saved (also error 1450). I try to sync my ipod and it says "the ipod cannot be synced due to unknown error (1450)" I then try to restore the ipod completely, so i click restore, confirm I want to restore it then it says "the ipod cannot be restored due to unknown error (1450)"
itunes also keeps saying some files are missing and to reinstall. reinstalling will let me start itunes WITH the errors again for a little while.
what in the name of hopelessness can I do about this?

  • Installed new hard drive now iTunes will not load my purchases on my iPod

I installed a new hard drive on my computer and successfully transferred all my files to the new hard drive. The first time I tried to sync my iPod a message appeared that my iPod would have to be reformatted to operate with this version of Windows.
Now, iTunes recognizes my iPod but during the update an error message displayed indicating my iTunes purchases were prohibited from being loaded on my iPod and removed the purchases I originally had on my iPod.
How do I get iTunes to include my purchases when syncing my iPod?

Thank you Patrick. You solved my problem. Just checked it out and I now have my purchases on my iPod. Only annoying thing was I had to authenticate my computer a couple of times.
