After the installation of FB4 beta, an error is posted: Error 148/3.
Even after a recharging of windows/XP SP2, the inhibiting error remains.

This may seem unrelated to your TypeError message, but see this Apple doc: MobileMe: Unable to add comments to blog pages, and follow the advice there about upgrading to the latest iWeb version, republishing your entire site and using me.com instead of mac.com to access your site.

Games keep crashing under Windows XP SP2 32Gig FAT32 partition

Hi All!
Hopefully somone can help me. We just purchased an iMac Core 2 Duo 20" from Best Buy. I was able to install BootCamp and install Windows XP Pro SP2 on a 32Gig FAT32 partition. I installed all the updates for WinXP. When we play games like Black & White 2 or Zoo Tycoon 2, the games seem to run fine until they crash, which seem to happen at random interval (several minutes into the games i.e. 20-30 minutes). I've tried updating the games, but no go.
Running under Mac OS X (10.4.9), the machine has never crashed...it is rock solid. Not so when running Windows XP SP2. I've tried wipping the XP partition (using the BootCamp application) and starting over from scratch, only to get the same results. Has anyone experienced something similar? Most importantly, has anyone gotten around this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just an idea for you. There is an entire Apple Discussion forum dedicated to Boot Camp and Windows XP.
Whereas, not everyone here with an Intel iMac has installed, tried to install or has experience with BC & XP, everyone there has or at least has an interest. You may attract help more quickly there.

Error displaying blog under Windows XP (IE 6.0)

When I open my Blog it display the message above and stops reading the full page.

ICloud won't boot under Windows Vista SP2

I have installed iCloud with no problems, but it won't boot up. I can see its process in the Task Manager, but it won't show up.

I know iCloud is a background running process. Precisely is the iCloud Control Pannel what will not show up when I double click on it, so I have not been able to configure it. I have Outlook 2007 installed. Do I need to have the iPhone plugged in the PC to be able to configure iCloud? Do I need to have Outlook opened?
As a summary, when I double click in the iCloud icon in the Control Pannel, nothing happens.

My partition has c: 40GB ( i dumped sap software in this drive) and d: 120GB. And i hav e: drive for CD Drive.
Actually, the drives set "AUTO Mount". i removed the mount. it will work. i was given all all input parameters of Central Instance......
After start the Central instance,
step 2, File system check/adapt (post processing) , i got same problem. Even i tried windows XP and Win 2003 also.
i logged as administrator user only......... i installed jdk........ and i chek it's working fine........
what was the solution...

Firefox does not "close" when closed under Windows 7; Task Manager must be used to "End Process." How do I close Firefox and reopen it without getting a "Still Running" error message?

Even though Firefox has been updated multiple times (currently using Ver. 3.6.13) since I started using Windows 7, I am still unable to totally close it from the toolbar or taskbar. Firefox does closeout on the screen but apparently continues to run in the background. If I open Firefox at a later time, I get an error message stating that Firefox is still running. I then have to go Task Manager to "End Process." Electing to do so allows me to restart Firefox. I never had this problem with Firefox when using Windows XP and I never have this problem with any other software under Windows 7.

Error 2048 under Windows 7 64bit when opening DNxHD .mov

Hi people,
i'm experiencing a weird problem while trying to open a DNxHD encoded .mov file with quicktimeplayer under windows 7 64 bit.
getting the error 2048: "Couldn't open the file because it's not a file that QuickTime understands."
filesize is 5,6 GB and im running Quicktime 7.7.5, the file was encoded using avid media composer.
Other (smaller, around 2GB) files from the same source and using the same codec will play back fine!
This file is running fine on my macbook (10.8.5), but will fail to play under windows 7 bootcamp or on my PC.
I've read about filesize-limits around 4 GB, is there some truth to that?

EDIT: i need to be able to play back the file with quicktime-components (not vlc or something like that) because im working with protools, which is using quicktime for video-playback.

Installation error in JDK 1.4.2_14 on windows XP SP2

Hi There,
I just downloaded the JDK and tried installing it from the command prompt.
The 1st time I tried it, it bombed with the messagebox "Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid"after a few seconds, even before any user input.
The second time, it gave the same message BUT after I had OKed the destination directory, browser plug-in info, etc. After dismissing the messageBox, it showed the dialog which asked to REBOOT the system and I chose NO.
I have over 100 GB free. 2 GB Ram system running on a HP
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2 GHz.
BTW, this was the 1st time Java install has bombed in 10 years.
I'll be glad to provide more inputs.

I'm receiving exactly the same error when I try to deploy it silently to a Windows 2003 SP2 server. 1.4.2_13 works perfectly, so I've just decided to use that. Hopefully it will be fixed for 1.4.2_15.
The silent install command line I'm using is:

2) This configuration tested with MS Windows 2000 family and Windows XP Pro+SP2
When I'm going to browse server by windows family stations, server asked for username/password, after authentication on both clients (Win XP and Win 2000) the share list appears correctly. for browsing shares contents through windows 2000 I have no problem but when i want to browse shares contents with windows xp+sp2 error message appears with "Access denied." subject.
How can I solve this problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciate.

i was able to connect and synced songs yesterday.
but when i tried it again today. i cant connect again.
i tried to disconnect and reconnect million times and i even dropped
my iPOD and now it has some scratch and i hate it.

IIRC this file, sasl32.dll, should get installed onto %WINDIR%\system32 when you install DS5.2 windows version.
You may run WinZIP and File/Open "d52diu.zip" (DS5.2 zip image) and look for "nsbasesys.zip", double click to Open it and you should find "sasl32.dll" there.
