I just installed a new hard drive and am unable to start illustrator. Any advice?

Run the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and reinstall properly. This is expected. Simply restoring a backup does not produce a valid activation. You may also need to call support to reset activation count since you now have wasted one by not following proper procedures.

Hi -
Issue Overview
-We have a .NET 1.1 windows service written in C#.
-The windows service simply monitors a database table for report requests.    When a record in the table meets specific criteria, the data from the record is used to generate a crystal report.    The crystal reports are standalone reports that are not created using Visual Studio. We have Crystal Reports 9 Report Standard product which has been used to create all of the reports.
-Users can submit report request at any time. We have over 100 users of our system. Submitting reports is not the main thing users do but they can.
-We get hundreds of events in our event log with the following information... "A Crystal Reports job failed because a free license could not be obtained in the time allocated. More licenses can be purchased direct from Crystal Decisions or through the Crystal Decisions Online Store."
-The windows services is referencing the following crystal components...
     --CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine (9.2.3300.0)
     --CrystalDecisions.Shared (9.2.3300.0)
--I have inherited this code and don't have much documentation regarding the code.
Questions
1. How can one tell if the crystal dll's referenced are from a specific crystal sdk or if they come with the .NET Framework?
2. I have figured out how to by-pass the license check but this is using reflection and is probably not legal.   How can we get past the 3 simultaneous requests the crystal engine currently allows?
3. We cannot upgrade to a newer version of crystal right now as we have too much legacy code.

You can not. That is a design limit. Your options are:
1) Web farm
2) More scalable product such as Crystal Reports Application Server
3. We cannot upgrade to a newer version of crystal right now as we have too much legacy code.
Web Farm then is your only option. Make sure you use sticky sessions if you go down this route. But in a nut shell, you are using the wrong product for the purpose of the application.

I've cleaned all font caches and have restored all fonts back to their original state. Still no joy. I have the same problem on my G4 at work, but not on my G3 iBook. (The iBook isn't fast enough to run the game adequately though).
I wonder if there was anything specific that changed between 10.4.5 and 10.4.6 that caused this - such as a graphics card update -that would cause this. I've tried e-mailing the game developer, but no joy from them.

Check for hardware issues
Try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good. Also, confirm your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers. If you still see the alert when you update or restore, contact Apple support.
Common errors: 1, 10-47, 1002, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1000-1020.

Adobe software is conflictive when you use Migration Assistant because their applications don't work properly after migration. If you keep the DVDs or the installers of your software, use them to reinstall all your Adobe applications and they should start working correctly

If you have the latest version of iTunes and the error code is still happening, then the next thing is to remove the SC Info folder on your computer. Check out the article below on how to do that.

Here's the cycle:
I plug in my iPad when “cable to iTunes shows on iPad screen. It says "Your iPad can't be updated, you must restore it to factory settings." That bad enough news, but it gets worse.

Verifying iPad restore with Apple…
(empty bar under the Apple logo…does not show any activity)

Notes: I just upgraded to OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 on my iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011) in the last week. It’s the first time I’m tried to backup/update my iPad since the iMac update.
I swapped out the USB cable to a new cable and get the same results.
I also unplugged all other USB devices from the iMac and security on my iPad and still get the same results.
I find it strange that it shows no Serial number for my my iPad 2 when plugged in. It shows “Serial Number: n/a on the screen when it displays: “iPad Recovery Mode To update your iPad without erasing its contents, click Update. To restore your iPad to its factory settings, click Restore iPad.
I prefer to update my iPad, but it displays “Your iPad can’t be updated, you must restore it to factory settings. If you previously backed up the iPad, click Restore Backup after the restore process completes.”
It’s a continuous loop. I get the display on my iPad to plug in the iPad to iTunes, plug it in which ends after going through the above procedure saying an error occurred (9).
So now I cannot use my iPad. When I turn it on I get the display showing me to plug it into iTunes with the cable. Since this is the only option I have I plug it in and the loop begins.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you are not able to restore the iOS device since you get an error 9. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

Check your security software
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006. Sometimes security software can prevent your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.
Check your security software and settings to make sure that they aren't preventing a connection to the Apple servers.
