Error 1647

The first time I tried to update my iTunes+QT was in January when I was prompted to do so by my current program. I downloaded the latest version but I kept getting the error:
1647: Unable to create InstallDriver instance, Return code: -2147312566
Within the past two week's I've been trying daily to install it because I've wanted to watch some videos that are in the iTunes compatable format. I've looked on the internet for my error code and found that it said I was missing a driver. I manually replaced it, downloaded 2 programs to replace it for me and still nothing has happend. I've spent 10 hours this week trying to fix this, including one on the phone to GeekSquad (********) who couldn't help me but offered to patch me over to someone who could if I had $99.
My birthday was yesterday, and I was given an iPod video. I've tried installing iTunes with the CD it came with and am getting the same error. I'd really like to use my new gift, so if ANYONE could help me that would be utterly fantastic.

Okay, I followed the link you gave me, and tried to see if I was the administrator of my computer. So, I followed the procedure, and now I'm at another problem. I can't even find the "Local and User Groups." Like so: http://img103.imageshack.us/my.php?image=help5wc.png

I know this may not be an Apple matter, but whatever is happening is keeping me from updating both iPod and iTunes. There must be some BONUS points for solving this error. Itunes error 1647?

I'm trying to update itunes but when i open the installer, i get an error message that says "1647:Unable to Create InstallDriver Instance, Return Code -2147312566" Also, for some reason i can't uninstall Itunes through my control panel. Anyone? Help? please email me at [email protected]

I can't seem to get Quicktime 7 installed on my machine.
XP Pro, sp2.
I've googled searched the error code and keep coming back with an STDOLE.tlb and stdole.dll problem. I've replaced those files and still, I get the same code.
Is there another way to install without using install shield?

Error in import of tables splitted with SQL splitter of note 1043380

I'm doing an import on AIX for a Sap system, while the source system was on Windows and during the export I splitted some table using the splitter of note 1043380.
THe export went fine, and I see from the .TOC files into the export directory a huge number of rows has been exported for these splitted tables.
Neverthless during the import I discovered the Sapinst mark these tables as completed but the edata is not imoported.
Into the .log file for one of them I see this :

But it's not clear how to apply it. I try to modify the ..TSK files for the VBFA pieces but I'm not able to find out the two space characters responsible for this behaviour.

Beside the post stated this is a well know bug of the splitter of note 1043380 but I'm not able to find any Oss note for that.
I used the splitter already several times and never encountered this error.

Import of Tables with CLOB problem.

Hi,
I am having problems with the import of tables with CLOB columns.
Tables with CLOB columns will force the use of the tablespace in which it (table) was created originally. It will not be created on the new schema's default tablespace. Is there a way to get around this problem?

I am using Oracle 9.2.0.6 standard edition, that is why the transportable tablespace option will not work.

Note: When I configure my application on the Tomcat 5.5 and java 1.5 then it runs fine. But the problem arises when I compile my code on the java 1.4 and run on the Tomcat 5.0

The table being populated is a customised table . It has[b] no primary key . All the columns are[b] nullable . The VO that i am using is taking rowid as Primary Key By default. I am not explicitly setting rowId .

Background:
I got a web application (java 1.4.2,Struts ) contained in Tomcat 5.0 server running on a Linux OS ver. 2.6.8.
The application works fine except when generating a report. It seems that the error is thrown during compilation
of the jasper template as suggested from the line ....JasperCompileManager.compileReport(JasperCompileManager.java:195) listed
above . I'm able to build the reports on Win 2K though.
What else needs to be done on the Linux side? All i've done so far is to set the path for java in the env. variables.
Have checked out varous sites/forums for solutions but so far still no luck. Your suggestions or assistance will be greatly appreciated.

To solve this issue, start your java environment with the option -Djava.awt.headless=true.
It solves the issue... if you google for "Linux"+"JasperReports"+"NoClassDefFoundError" you will find the background info on this issue.

I am guessing this is some sort of an error in xml parsing. I found couple of solutions on sun java forums but none of them worked for me. Right now I am trying to figure out whether this is being caused by the applet or the java itself.
Apparently other people who use this applet do not have a problem and they have the exact same files as me. So I am not sure what exactly is causing tihs problem. Bit of a noob.

I apologize for the clarity of my message. I meant to say that I was wondering whether the problem is with the xm files that java has, or the xml files that are in the pyjasper package that I downloaded?
I also checked for byte order mark using hex editor to see if those six characters were in front of my xml files. None of the files in the pyjasper package had the BOM so that solution did not work.
Is there something wrong with the above xml prolog?
I have been reading tons of different posts and stuf trying to figure this out for the past month but juts cannot seem to get it to work.

Msiexec error when installing Premiere Elements

I had a very disappointing time with support and still cannot install my new copy of PS Premiere Elements.
I downloaded the softare. Installed the PS Elements. It was smooth.
I then tried to install Premiere Elements and it does not work.
When I started the .exe it asked for a place to extract files. I did this. Then it tried to install. But after a while I get this box with the msiexec commands listed in it. Eg.

When I try using the Adobe Premiere Elements 10.msi then i get an error

I called support. They had me extract files into a folder off of eg C:\PS
I did this. Started the setup.exe, Same error as above msiexec.
He then had me install it with the runas administrator. I tried same error.
He then told me to create a new account on the computer with admin privileges. I didn’t really like this, but I did this . And restarted the setup but still same msexec error.
The support person said it was an admin error. Sadly I think he is wrong, he just read the message and quickly gave the first thing he could think of. I asked him why he felt that, and he said based on the error. However sadly I don’t believe he is understanding the “error” He saw the words “Administrative install - Installs a product on the network” (see above) and quickly said oh its an admin problem. I didn’t realize at the time that this is not really an error message regarding the administrator, but just the output of a badly formed command, with a default output of a badly formed command.
Let me explain..
What I believe is that somehow the script that is running the install is trying to run the msexec program and the output is simply the output of the msexec program when the parameters are not right. In fact if you open a dos prompt and type msiexec you get the exact same output. The error is not really an error but just the output like any other of a command with no perimeters. Like if you type defrag or copy from the command prompt with out the right parameters. The command gives a response. For some reason the support person saw the word “administrator” and quickly jumped to the conclusion oh its an administrator issue that was the error. The support person kept asking me if that was all and was definitely trying to get rid of me. It quite frankly was very disappointing that he didn’t know this how to resolve the issue and just wanted me to go away.
Can anyone tell me how to install this program. I am on a domain and have both domain and local passwords. Im using windows XP.

ok, i fnally was able to extract the files, enter serial numbers, and run the program, I'm testing the program now
the problem is adobe's fault, a faulty script or something on the dvd.
in my situation, to get this program installed, i decided to do the following:
1) optional: copy the install dvd to hard drive.
2) locate the adobe premiere elements 10.msi file.
3) type in    msiexec /a "adobe premiere elements 10.msi" /qb TARGETDIR="C:\tempfolder"
to unpacked the msi archive.
4) go into the c:\tempfolder/programfiles/Adobe
5) optional: copy or move the Adobe Premiere Elements 10 folder into your c:\Program Files\Adobe folder so it sits with the rest of your adobe programs
6) you have to make your own desktop icon
7) when you go into the premiere elements folder click on Adobe Premiere Elements.exe to start the program
8) it may tell you to download the Adobe Application Manager from http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager
so download it if necessary. the ApplicationManager2.0_all.exe file will silently install.
this does work HOWEVER, it doesnt really install it with all the registry etc. and doesnt integrate it into the PSE. So I dont think this is really the right option.

The version of the install software is definetely 32 bit. eg its PremiereElements_10_LS15_win32.exe with the corresponding win32 zipped file.
BTW the fact that I can extract the files and then run the program as a stand alone program means I think? that it is the right version and can run on this computer. Its obviously an install issue it seems.
The version of XP i have is XP prof sp3 version 5.1 build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.101209-1647
Based on your comment regarding the install version, I found and downloaded the 4.5 version of the msiexec software. Tried to install the PE again and got the same error ... EXCEPT that now the output comes from the 4.5 version instead of the previous version. eg.

So obvously the new installer got installed, but still the install process doenst work.

Switcher Error in Hgrid

I ' ve created Hgrid , with switchers at detailed record.
But when i 've tried to expand the Hgrid , the page has gone into error and showing the error as Definition of <view attribute> not found in view object.
so for the cross verification, i' ve copied switcher definition and tagged to classic table . so that table displayed properly with appropriate images.
but same thing is not happening with HGrid .
I am sure that swithchers can be used with Hgrid.
so what my question is , is there any action that need to be done while working with switches in HGrid.

This error occurs when matching view attribute is not there in View Object.
But my view object is having that attribute.
