Error 1671 on iPad restore
Our iPad 3rd gen will not leave recovery mode. I plug it in, do the factory restore as set out in apples tutorials online. Software starts to download and after the 3/4 hours worth of downloading a unknown error code appears - 1671. I can't find anything to fix this.
I do the whole home/power button, plug into iTunes and follow all instructions. It seems to be working then at the final second comes up with this error then iTunes ejects the iPad and I'm back at square one.
Can anyone offer any help or advice?

I have an ipad 2 and the current version of itunes. All of this happened yesterday after I tried to update to the newest IOS.
The ipad screen shows the connect to itunes screen. When connected to itunes it wants to restore but wants to restore with update. Every time I run update it runs about 1/2 way and then goes to error 3259.
The itunes screen on the computer shows the ipad as n/a serial number and from the itunes menu I cannot restore it at all. The ipad hasn't been hacked and ran perfectly before I started the update yesterday morning.
Help?!?!?If you've tried a different computer and different cable and still get the 4013 error then, from iOS: Restore errors 4005, 4013, and 4014 :
If you continue to see error 4005, 4013, or 4014 when you restore your device, contact Apple for support. -

IPad Restore Error 1600, 1601.
Hi, receiving errors 1600, 1601 when restoring iPad1 despite using latest iTunes, OSX and troubleshooting USB connections and ports. Any ideas people? Thanks!
I just experienced the same errors on a restore, tried multiple times. Someone came up with the suggestion to try it on another machine. I loaded iTunes on an older PC, attached my iPad and it started and finished in short order the restore. I moved the restore file from the original pc to the older one in the same location as it was on the unit that gave me the errors. Then when it worked, it attached to the original machine and synced my apps back that were in that iTunes version.

Was loading latest iPad update and it hung. Itunes indicated the iPad needed to be restored. Clicked on restore and received error 2003.
Same thing here. I have an iPad 2 that was running iOS 5.0.1. Everything worked fine when without any kind of sync over cable or wifi, all apps including free and purchased ones disappeared. When I did connect it to iTunes, all apps were unchecked. So, I checked my apps, did a sync, and they all returned but missing all app data.
Long story short, things got a little flakey and I wanted to start from scratch so I plugged my iPad in to install the factory default firmware but I get the following error, " The iPad "iPad" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (26)." Tried this in DFU mode and in regular restore mode (when the iPad screen says to connect to iTunes). I tried different versions of iTunes and machines, OS 10.6, 10.7, and Windows 7, all giving the same error. When attempting a restore, it goes through "Extracting software, Verifying iPad restore with apple, preparing iPad for restore, waiting for iPad, preparing iPad for restore, verifying iPad restore." After the progress bar on the iPad is there for about 30 seconds, ERROR. I tried different things for hours with iOS 5.0.1, and I also get the same error with iOS 5.1, which was released today. -
I repeatedly receive an error when my IPad is trying to restore during the IOS 5 update. The error is (-50). How do I fix this?
Try restarting everything and then try to sync or reactivate. Quit iTunes, reboot your computer, reboot your iPad and then try again.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. After you update to iOS 5.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

Error message on ipad when we tried to download images to computer. 'Itunes has detected an ipad in recovery mode. You must restore your ipad before it can be used with iTunes. It downloaded some images prior to this message and we selected skip any files with errors.
Ipad now just showing apple image with power cord. Don't want to click restore and lose all data.Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
To minimise loss... Connect to iTunes on the computer you Usually Sync with and Restore from the most recent Backup...

I have tried to restore my ipad gen 1. When it gets to the Verigying ipad restore with Apple" it seems to hang then returns the error 1602. I have the black screen on my ipad so cannot get to the shut down bar. The ipad has not been tampered with or jail broken. it suddenly would only show the apple symbol for 5 or so seconds then go to a blank screen and then 30 or so seconds later show the apple symbol again. This only happens when plugged into its factory charger.
Have you tried the troubleshooting on this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694#error1603 ?
