Error #16822 - SubErrorId : 2032 Only on Windows 7 not on Mac OS X !

Hi,
Im developping a software on Apple MacBook Pro latest OS X 10.6.6. I have set up the auto update feature and its work fine when i test it under Mac OS X.
But when I test the same software on Windows 7, Im getting the error :
16822
I/O error while downloading. The subErrorID property           may provide more information.
With suberrorid 2032 :
2032
Stream Error.
I've checked different values from there, the update url is correct and work fine from the browser. The new software version is downloading correctly from IE 8 but it is seen and saved as a zip file. I have no idea what is going wrong with the auto updater. Does any body know something ?
Whats difference between AIR auto update process between Mac and Win 7 ???
Does the firewall of Win 7 could be the problem ?? I dont think so. What do you think ?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks !

Thanks a ton for your reply Chris..!
Its the same issue that Xenus989898 reported. I have an AIR application with automatic update code written at the start of the app. So when I start the application on Windows and change updateVersion in update.xml, it shows the old and new version properly on the dialog box but the moment I try to download, it flunks an error with "Error code 16822". Even the user who reported on this threa said, he couldnt make out what he changed but it started working for him properly. Do we know what the issue was Chris..! Please let me know. Thanks again..!

    Hold Option key when starting - that gives you the option to choose between startup disks.

  • Random I/O errors (hdd) and failing to boot, Windows not affected

    I'm experiencing lots of I/O errors when booting and running my Linux partition. I am dual booting Windows 7 (x86_64) and Arch Linux (i686) on a single HDD.
    Im using a Lenovo Ideapad G505s with a Seagate ST1000LM HDD and an SDD currently not in use.
    Partition layout:
    NAME FSTYPE LABEL UUID MOUNTPOINT
    sda
    ├─sda1 ntfs System Reserved D8B40750B4073094
    ├─sda2 ntfs 00EA107FEA107360
    └─sda3 ext3 b753e7d2-6a23-4c20-8fa7-bf281a4a09e4 /
    sr0
    All three are primary partitions. Using ext4 yields the exact same result.
    The problem is easy to reproduce:
    Install Windows 7 to first half of HDD and Arch on the second half
    At first Arch works fine but over the next couple of days increasingly more I/O errors show up and at some point the system fails to boot
    Windows seems to work just fine

    I don't recall when this error first showed up, and I unluckily deleted my journal before noticing the problem, for it was getting big, so I can't trace back. But I have it in the journal since then (11.september). At begining only from time to time, but now things are getting worse.

  • IPod is recognized only in Windows not iTunes

    Basically, my iPod Touch 4G does not show up on iTunes, it only charges when plugged in by USB. Windows recognizes it, but iTunes doesn't seem to. My iPod is recognized on another computer, but seeing as I have all my music on this computer I have no interest in using another.
    I have tried the following:
    - Restoring my iPod (from different PC)
    - Restarting PC
    - Restarting iPod
    - Re-installing iTunes (around 8-10 times)
    - Updating to latest software on iOS & iTunes
    - Connecting using brand-new USB
    I have failed. I am ready to give up on my iPod and get rid of it. Does anyone know the fix..?

    Did you also try to remove all Apple related software before you reinstalled iTunes again? Removing iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista and 7

  • IPv6-Only Support (Windows not ready?)

    So I was setting up a new Server 2012 VM (as a template for future deployments) - and decided to not add an IPv4 address (thinking I'd have to change it later, and not having one would ensure I set the final hosts' assigned address, as things wouldn't work
    otherwise) - and just use IPv6.
    I hit a few snags, detailed below:
    Windows Update worked fine.
    Converting to Microsoft Update did not:
    In the 'Windows Update' window, the link to convert to Microsoft update uses http://go.microsoft.com/ (Specifically, http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=230963 )
    http://go.microsoft.com/ does not have an AAAA record, thus no IPv6.
    If you look up the above Go link, it will redirect you to: http://fe1.update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en - which IS IPv6-capable.
    So if you manually enter the fe1.update.microsoft.com address from above, it'll work - you just can't use the handy shortcut.
    Windows Activation does not work - cannot find the DNS entry for whatever system it uses.  Biggest showstopper I think, as it requires v4 address, NAT64, or a phone call.
    Time synchronization by default uses time.windows.com - NOT IPv6-enabled.  Had to point this at another resource ( I chose X.pool.ntp.org and had no issues)
    I find it both interesting and funny that (many) microsoft.com and windows.com URLs don't work with IPv6 - yet both Bing.com and Xbox.com have IPv6 capability enabled.
    Hopefully Microsoft can work towards enabling these last few things, so as folks set up IPv6-only servers without NAT64 things work.
    What else isn't working OOTB (Out Of The Box) on IPv6-only enabled systems?

    A year later and this has not changed. Pure IPV6 Windows does not appear to be supported for online activation, among other things.
    So, on the one hand we've got IPV6 being pushed on us. It's enabled on Server 2008 and Windows 7 and better by default--and often disabling IPV6 is an early troubleshooting step for various fundamental issues. Half the Google searches I follow start with
    "disable IPV6" as the first fix.
    Everyone is cheering for IPV6, but no one is turning it on.
    Awesome, but we're beyond the "ignore IPV6" stage and have to start working with it. Yes, hybrid servers (IPV4/IPV6) seem to work ok, because they default to IPV4 often. My pure IPV6 servers are being severely restricted around every bend.
    Two big issues:
    1) Activation mechanism is not IPV6 supported. I have to risk the sanctity of an environment and enable IPV4 just to activate online.
    2) Hybrid machines (especially Active Directory members) experience ridiculous delays in remote desktop access.

  • How do you close only one window (not tab) when you have two open?

    I can close a tab when I have multiple ones open but if I have two windows open and I close one window it closes all other windows. How can I close just one window without shutting down any other windows?

    Yes, when I click on the red X it closes both windows. I'll try the Ctrl+w
    Thanks

  • Array out of bounds - in Windows not in Mac

    I have an applet on my website which behaves perfectly when I view the page using my home Mac (iBook running Panther).
    When I view the same page with a Windows machine at my local library I get an Array Bounds error.
    'Advanced options' is disabled (and anyway I am not familiar with Windows) so I can't get any more specific information.
    Can anyone suggest what I should do next?
    To see the error go to www.hrat.btinternet.co.uk
    then click on Interactive EEG Atlas
    then click on Currently available EEG records
    finally pick any record eg. male age 58
    the Mac shows an 8 channel EEG record (wiggly lines)
    the Windows shows a grey rectangle and a brief flash of the error message
    HRT
    PS "Sources" is not quite up to date.

    Thanks for a really helpful reply!
    The relevant code is as follows:-
    First in the init() method of the main applet code
                             i.e.          public class dEEGDisplay extends Applet
                                            implements Runnable, ActionListener, ItemListener
    we have the following :-
              theEvents = new Events();
              theMontage = new Montage();
              theEvents.initialise();
              theMontage.initialise();
    I thought I might have a race condition with new threads being started (in some compilers)
    for the init() methods of the Events and Montage classes
    so I moved the extensive initialising code out of the built in init methods
    to a separate initialise() method to make sure it was executed by the main thread.
    now in the theMontage.initialise() method we have :-
              mNames = new String [N];     // N has been initialised to 0 and incremented in a loop
              mArrays = new Object [N];
              for (int j=0; j<N; j++)
                   mNames[j]=montageNames[j];
                   mArrays[j]=montageArrays[j];
              setBackupArrays();
              setupCurrentMontage(0);
              setupBaselines();
    and the error occurs in the first line of setupCurrentMontage(0) :-
         void setupCurrentMontage(int indx)
    Line 1053 > currentMontageArrays= (Object[]) mArrays[indx];
                   displayNChans= ((Integer)currentMontageArrays[0]).intValue();
                   blackLeadsArray= (int[]) currentMontageArrays[1];
                   whiteLeadsArray= (int[]) currentMontageArrays[2];
                   tagsArray= (boolean[]) currentMontageArrays[3];
                   gainsArray= (int[]) currentMontageArrays[4];
                   TCsArray= (int[]) currentMontageArrays[5];
                   HFsArray= (int[]) currentMontageArrays[6];
                   pagePlotter.baselineArray= (int[]) currentMontageArrays[7];
                   thePagePlotter.displayNChans= displayNChans;
                   // printMontageDetails();
    It seems unlikely that 'index' is the trouble since it is here called as an explicit (0) parameter.
    It is possible that N might still be 0 in which case mArrays[0] would be undefined.
    This could happen (I think only happen) if the following method did not function
    i.e. no word was found and the method exited with eof=true :-
         public void findWord(String theWord)
              do // skip until the parameter word is found
                   tok=readToken();
                   if (tok==theFileTokenizer.TT_EOF)
                   // System.out.println("eof in findword "+theWord);
                   eof=true;
                   return;
              } while (((tok!=theFileTokenizer.TT_WORD)
                   & (theFileTokenizer.sval!=theWord)));
              // System.out.println("Find "+theWord+" Tok "+tok+" word="+theFileTokenizer.sval);
    Class theFileTokenizer is set up on opening the file
         public void openMontagefile()
              URL url = null;
              try // sets up the Tokenizer
                   url = new URL (getCodeBase()+"EEGfolder/"+theMontagefolder+"/montages.txt");
                   URLConnection uc = url.openConnection();
                   uc.connect();
                   is = uc.getInputStream();
                        theFileTokenizer = new StreamTokenizer(is);
                        theFileTokenizer.eolIsSignificant(true);
                        theFileTokenizer.slashStarComments(true);
              catch (Exception e)
                   System.out.println("Can't read Montage data " + e);
              // System.out.println("Montage file opened");
    and my best guess so far is that in some Java VM implementations StreamTokenizer is wrongly
    (or differently) implemented.
    Does all this make sense?

  • Windows not seeing Mac drive

    I did a straight Finder copy of my entire iTunes folder to a FAT drive.
    Then, I plugged in the FAT drive to XP. I went to the prefs and I told iTunes where to find the iTunes folder.
    So far, so good, except: the songs are not showing in iunes. In fact, it is still using the iTunes folder on the C drive.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Hey Chris,
    Thanks! I opened iTunes holding the shift key and received a special window asking me to choose existing library or create a library...I selected create a library because the existing lib was not available. I then selected create from a folder and then selected the correct folder in the E drive.
    So basically what happened is this: iTunes imported all of the music to a new itunes folder on E:; not really a problem since there is room, but still probably not right.
    Done! except now I cannot get the iPhone to see the music; can play it, can see the iPhone as normal. Arg.

  • HT201209 i have windows not a mac and need to redeem itunes gift card

    Help i want some music.

    The sort order on iOS 5+ is by 'date modified' (iPad photo order). If you want more control over your synced photos then you could consider using a third-party photo management app such as Photo Manager Pro, which allows you to change the sort order (date created, size, rating, or you can drag them into your own order) and you can delete synced photos directly in it.
    In terms of the Photos app, you can leave feedback for Apple here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

  • Error (-45054) for WINDOWS not for a mac

    For the past three days i have been trying to download app updates via the iTunes WINDOWS software program without success due to the error -45054. I have done many a search but can only find answers on how to fix the problem on mac computers. I am running windows 8 (yes i know it ***** you don't have to tell me)
    There are a total of two users on the computer in question. However the error only occurs in the account of one of the two users. User #1 has no problems whatsoever and is a administrator. User #2, also listed as a administrator always gets the -45054 error.
    Files are all set as shared with everyone with full control.
    i have tried to remove iTunes and reinstall but still no help. Any suggestions are appreciated as long as they are for WINDOWS not for mac

    I tried submitting this same problem as a feature request and/or bug report.
    Unfortunately, and somewhat disconcertingly, the Captivate Bug Report form also doesn't work. No matter how thoroughly I entered my request, I got these error messages:
    The following error(s) must be corrected before this form can be completed:
    Please enter your name
    Please enter your E-mail address
    Please select if it is feature request or the bug report.

  • I'm using a 2014 iMac and a Win 8.1 64bit install disc with bootcamp. I created the ISO according to the instructions but when I selected it in bootcamp I got the following error "Boot Camp only supports Windows 7 or later..."

    Bootcamp rejects the ISO file made from a windows 8.1 disc with the error message "Boot Camp only supports Windows 7 or later installation on this platform. Please use an ISO file for Windows 7 or later installation."
    How do I get past this?

    Hi Loner T
    No the ISO is just 64bit. I bought a shrink wrapped copy of 8.1 full version. It has two discs, one for 32bit and one for 64bit. I used the 64bit disc.
    I inserted it in an older iMac that has a dvd drive, and shared that across to my new iMac. I used disc utility to create a disc image following instructions I found here...
    Boot Camp: Creating an ISO image from a Windows installation DVD - Apple Support
    This created an ISO file. I then went into bootcamp but when I tried to use the ISO file to create a boot USB it failed with the error above.

    Ian

    tried to create new profile using Terminal but error message. cannot open in safe mode, instructions are only for windows All my bookmarks are in firefox

    I had already tried a reinstall before, but thanks for the suggestion. Starting FF in Safe mode did not help either.
    XULRunner is specific to FF. Mostly found discussion about using the code in web pages when I used Google before posting.
    When FF went from version 3.6.14 to version 3.6.15 this issue started. Please note the Error message and the version info I just mentioned.
    '''"Platform version '1.9.2.15' is not compatible with minVersion > =1.9.2.14 maxVersion < = 1.9.2.14"'''
    '''The Platform was revved up from 1.9.2.14 to1.9.2.15'''
    I could not find information on: minVersion or maxVersion much less how to change them in XULRunner.
    '''''It is definitely a Mozilla FF issue'''''.
    Avast sandbox is up to date and works just fine with everything else. More importantly it worked just before the update was installed.
    The only reason I bothered with the update is because Mozilla touted it as a security issue and there was NO mention of any known issues with sandbox software.

    I may have just solved my own problem. Right after posting this I googled bezel lightroom and found this: Flickr: Discussing The word 'bezel' appears in the taskbar. in Adobe Lightroom
    I changed the setting in the view menu and now everything appears to be working fine. I cannot explain why it stopped working before because I hadn't made any previous changes to the view options.
    Still am curious about the memory usage, though.
