Error -1712 (Mac OS X 9.3) - try to open Creative Cloud

Dear all,
every time I try to open the Creative Cloud for Mac the message pops up "Can't open the program "Creative Cloud". eroor -1712". I work in Germany, may that be a problem?

Welcome to Adobe Forum,
If there is no billing issue, then I would like to mention that
Creative cloud do not need a serial number. it will be using your Adobe ID on which you have purchased the creative cloud membership.
So you need to login with your Adobe ID and password to activate the cloud membership.
Log out & log back in of the CC Desktop App.
In case it is not signing in successfully please try the following:
I don't know which operating system you are working on so i am giving you some steps windows and MAC OS:
   Windows:
   In windows 7 navigate to following location:
     /windows/system32/drivers/etc
   1. look out for "Hosts" file
   2. Open it with notepad
   3. Check if you have any entry for Adobe
   4. Remove the entries and try again launching any product from CC
   Mac:
   1. Please click on "Go" and navigate to /private/etc
   2. Open "hosts" file and check out for any entries for Adobe.com
   3. Remove the entries and save the file
   4. try again launching any product from CC

I uninstalled and reinstalled but at the end of installation there were erros. See attached screen shot. I now cannot open the application. error code 10810 comes up when I try to open.

I could not update photoshop CS6 and Jeff from forum advised unistalling and reinstalling (Tk93580659). Mac OSX. Still looking for a solution to specific installation errors (see screeshot) referring to "Language Pack installation failure":
ERROR: DW050: The following payload errors were found during install:

Unfortunately previous advice of using CCS cleaner tool, and suggestions from links for 1) "exit code 6 and 7" and 2) "Troubleshoot instal logs" did not work at all. So I am desparate to fix this because I have spent a lot of money purchasing Photoshop CS6 but have no functioning program. Surely Adobe can help solve this problem with installing, or else it means a lot of money spent on Photoshop CS6 for nothing. I am appealing directly to Adobe to help because I have come to the end of my options. I thank the forum for their suggestions but so far the solution for this specific "Language Pack installation failure" problem is missing. Thank you.

Exactly what does the message say?
Exactly what files are you trying to open?
Exactly how are you trying to open them (what menu command or button or mouse action or keyboard shortcut)?
And lastly, what version of Lightroom are you using?

I bought garage band from the app store and downloaded it to my mac mini. When i try to open a screen comes up explaining i need to down load missing files. I do this but when try to open GB again the same thing keeps happening! Can anyone help.

Hi, Hugo,
In similar cases it helped to remove the GarageBand "Preferences" file from the User Library.
Open the folder
your home folder > Library > Preferences
and move the file "com.apple.garageband.plist" to the Desktop.
Then try again to launch GarageBand.

Whenever I try to join creative cloud as a student it brings up an error when I try to enter my institution."We're sorry. Something seems to be wrong on our end. Please try again later. If this continues to fail, please contact Customer Support." Without entering this information I can't purchase anything. I've logged out and back in and that doesn't work.

Windoes reports a NIMax error and closes the application when i try to open MAX. It was fine just a couple of months before and i do not know why. I need to access the VIlogger for using my USB-6009 module.

I wouldn't think this was a firewall problem - they tend to be better behaved than this. Before installing the new drivers, uninstall all the driver software, restart your computer and then attempt the install. If this doesn't work, uninstall all NI software - including LV - run a register cleaner like CCleaner, restart and reinstall everything. It THIS doesn't work, it's time to be talking to NI directly.

When I try to install Creative Cloud, it tells me Installer failed to initialize. How can I fix this?

I had an issue with my Dell laptop and everytime i had opened Photoshop it would freeze and crash my computer. I had to recover my computer almost a month, and now when I try to redownload photoshop and creative cloud it tells me the same error message. Any ideas how I can properly download Creative Cloud?
